The top one is a redo of the original from 2017. In case you guys don't remember, the game has been reusing themes for over a year now. Since FB pic size has changed, I've been trying to adjust to that format while using some skills I've learned in the past seven years (within the confines of the time I have every day). I'm sure you can all recognize Cassel's corner punches; I think I have them all. The font for this year's is Abongia from Creative Fabrica and the older one is Reybro from Fontbundles. The magnolias and the girl are from so long ago, I don't remember where I got them.5 points

Like you Michele, I to have evolved over the many years under the tuition and guidance of Cassel. When I look back at some of my very early work, I realize how basic, simple and amateurish my work was. Both are lovely, but the latest one is even more lovely. I love the blured frame, which blends the image into the background paper prefectly. As for the corner punches, they resonate pure elegance. As I am a huge fan of all the Punches.4 points

This week my Amaryllis opent its flowers and it looks gorgeous. The big bulb has 2 stalks with thick fat buds and one of them has its 5 flowers open now. The other stalk is shorter and the bud is still closed, but it is seldom that both stalks are in flower at the same time which make the period with flowers much longer. With all the miserable weather outside it is nice to have some color inside the house.4 points

Corrie: I was inspired by your flower photo, so I did another one of my moth orchid, but as a closeup this time. Then, being on a roll with my iPhone in portrait mode, I also shot my succulent. (I will have to find out the variety before I use it in this challenge.) That is the extent of my house plants; I do not have the greenest of thumbs. π3 points

Just before I left, the Hyacinths I bought for my daughter and daughter-in-law were almost in full bloom. What a gorgeous colour your flower is. Makes up for the dismal weather outside.3 points

Mary you did fantastic with all those labs you did and I greatly admire your persistence!!! I'm not able to do that on my own for such a long time and this last one is very nice. You never know what you can use later on and I like the suggestions from Susan, so it won't be a waste of time. Besides all the labs you have made a lot of other time consuming projects! Take a rest, do something else and your mojo will be back for the Build a Kit Workshop which is a very different thing from making layouts.3 points

Thank you ever so much Mary. You have done such amazing work with the Labs. Undertaking a long project is daunting to say the least, and no doubt your energy for it ebbs and flows. I love that metal plate you did and can see lots of cool applications for it. Maybe placing a colored layer above it and using a blend mode would add some cool interest, or try using a grungy layer above it, although you want to keep that nice brushed metal texture you have now. And you could have a debossed letter or symbols in the middle. One day you will know exactly what to do with it.2 points

Masks have always eluded me, too, but would be so useful. Based on the comments above, I will have my note-taking app at the ready. π Canβt wait to learn!1 point

Amazing what a difference when you mirrored the portrait. Love it!1 point

Yes, that's exactly why π But it looks goodπ. There don't have to be many.1 point

@Susan Ewart Dear friend! Thank you for the kind words. I really had no idea how to use it. It is supposed to have a hanger attached to it so that it could be used to hold a banner in place???? I like your suggestions - if I am going to change the element I made, I duplicate it (Shift+D) and do whatever with it. Those are some interesting suggestions. I may try some out while I'm waiting for my mojo to return. LOL1 point

I think I am done with Labs for a while. Wasn't happy with this one as I am not sure what I will ever do with a paper bow and a metal plate. Couldn't figure out how to use it for this layout and I am not happy with it anyway. Think I will try to get my mojo going again in the Build-A-Kit that is coming. @Susan Ewart Really impressed with what you are doing with that new script and your photography. Way to go girl!1 point

So excited to learn more. I have tons of Masks, but it's been a while, so I need a good refresher1 point

Susan. I like what you did with the script, the results differ but together it works great. I will have to play some more with it, if and when I have a bit of free time. At the moment all different kinds of things are going on that need my attention too.1 point

A mature female Snowy Owl dropped in yesterday, whilst I was out back in the trees filling the bird feeders. It's quite unusual to see them perched in trees. They are either on telegraph poles, fence posts or on the ground. I must say that I'm overwhelming impressed with all the creativity being posted. Such diversity. Well done to you all.1 point

Comparatively speaking, we've had very little snow this year. I count myself lucky that my condo complex has good maintenance and clear everything right away. In fact, I had to drag out my snow shovel to clear the buildup of salt and grits they had tossed on my porch, in an overabundance of caution. The ferals come there to eat and the salt is bad for them as they lick their feet in their frequent grooming sessions. This overhead shot from my security camera shows them lounging after a feeding and also shows the salt on the concrete porch.1 point

I wrote them down too as well as did the screen shots. then I had a point form very short cheat sheet that I used. Then i just tried it by memory and missed a step. Seeing the step I missed made me remember that particular step. Now I can do it without referring to the notes. That is only the one style of making a mask. this year I want to to commit to memory another style that we learn in the workshop. I remember Sue T. telling to do one thing over and and over until I can have it memorized. Good advice because that is what I did. making the mistakes was really what helped me to learn the order of the steps.1 point

I went one step farther, I did screenshots of each step and put them in order on a letter size paper and saved it to my desktop and printed it too.1 point

Yes it does brighten the room and my spirits! This weather what we have at the last weeks or even months is a real pity because outside the crocuses and daffodils planted alongside some streets and pavements are almost drowning and they still are starting to flower but look droopy!0 points
