  1. No, you can just make a selection and trim the paper. Even for photos, you don't HAVE to convert them to masks. It is just one easy way, and more useful for photos.

  2. This week, I found an old layout I made for ... a challenge. So I will challenge you too. I want a layout that will help us know you better. Your layout needs: Two photos of you (an older one and a newer one) 10 attributes/qualities to describe you (I know, that is always hard) Some brushwork Incorporate your favorite color so it will be all about YOU! So, what will you create? Here is the old layout that is the base for this challenge.

  3. If it were me, I wouldn't change them to masks. That can be done by the person using the template if it were someone other than you. For all the years I have been scrapping, I haven't used masks when using templates. I choose which square I want with a photo, resize the photo to cover the square. Then I select outside the square with the magic wand, change to the photo layer and move it if needed to better fit within the selection magic ants. Then I hit delete on the photo layer to get rid of the excess photo. It has only been in the last year that I have become comfortable with using masks. And, even though I am more comfortable I default to using the other method 95% of the time because that is what comes naturally to me. I have never bought a template that has a mask.

  4. At that point, are each square is on its own layer. So, you can turn them into mask layer one by one, or group some (like the four together). Or you can use them as template to replace by papers.

  6. We always taught our Doberman Zoey to stay off the couch but we came in one day and found her sitting like this. She looked at us like "well you guys sit like this".

  7. I haven't made any layouts with my cat's weird places to hang out, but he does situate himself (like all cats) into some strange places. And he does love fresh laundry left in a basket!

  8. My cat when she was a kitten, she loved boxes, including the Easter Egg box, and my clean socks basket!! She also loves wrapping paper and will sleep in or on the paper.

  9. Back in the early days of Covid, everyone seemed to be hoarding toilet paper and I had this cute photo of Eve, guarding our supply...

  11. Because my Outlander project was a bit of a story, I added all projects in Canva and made a video of it. (It has white edges, but don't know how to change that) An Outlander story by Monique Edit: I found a template with squares ?, but now it's a slideshow ?

  12. I I used what I learned in the shadow box master class and created this using (Fairy-Moon-Shadow-Box-47020851) from Creativefabrica and the shamrock in her hand was created from (Layer-st-Patricks-day-leaf-25320553). Now my Irish ancestors can either say well done or turn over in their graves.

  13. I was playing with the Shadow box Master class. And I had this color wheel in mind (although I don't actually subscribe to the "color wheel" model?). As it turns out, those little circle layers are too small to be effective at showing the depth. it was a good learning experience, and I've included a larger version so you can get the idea of the depth. It's good for big layouts. I look forward to trying the ones from the masterclass.
