He never wanted to lie on anything other than the floor, but this bed was adopted from day one. At the beginning of last year he had problems with the left biceps tendon (shoulder), and had to undergo surgery for this, he was under anesthesia 4 times. We were very worried because collies are very sensitive to many medications. He has now recovered well, and his coat has grown back nicely, but is not allowed to jump, do stairs, etc Oh Marie-Claire, how very scary. I am so happy to hear Poncho is on the mend. What a stressful time for you, I hope you are doing well too. I had a pet pass away on the operating table. 1
Ann Seeber Posted January 10 Posted January 10 We had 12 inches of snow dumped on us over the weekend. This is an iPhone shot out my kitchen window of the close-by juniper. 3 6

All is well with us now, but it was indeed a stressful few weeks. 1
Sharla Posted January 10 Posted January 10 I’m in. I’ve created my own template – really simple frame and some text. I’m not having a specific theme other than I’m going to using a photo I’ve taken that week. On the first of Jan we had a compete rainbow. I wasn’t quick enough getting outside to catch it so I only have one side of it but it makes a nice memory. 7

Sharla that exactly what this "challenge" is about and I intend to do the same; just a photo of something that stood out this week.
Ann Seeber Posted January 13 Posted January 13 The following week after the snowstorm, we had torrential rains and flooding. (Luckily, not near my home.) This is a shot of the river at the Mid-Hudson Bridge near Poughkeepsie, NY., taken by Deedee Lumb on 1/10/24 and posted on our Hudson Valley in Pictures Gallery on Facebook. She said: "Come sit for a spell, enjoy the river views." 😉 8 2
Mary Solaas Posted January 13 Posted January 13 Here is my Week 1. this is my favorite house plant. I've been house-bound this past week and just started taking pictures again. the sun is shining beautifully today, but it is cold and we are expecting the white stuff beginning tomorrow here in the south (Memphis). 8

Sharla Posted January 13 Posted January 13 My week 2 is the woods, where I often walk. I took the photo standing on a bridge that crosses the little stream. The trees are without their leaves but there is still green in this winter scene – moss, grass, ivy, weeds… 1 8

Cassel Posted January 13 Author Posted January 13 And for week 2, just an ordinary picture of line dancing class. Markus is just a spectator. 1 1 6

Rene Marker Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I finally finished my Week In Review layouts for 2023. I had one day left over so I did a final layout of just photos from Dec 31 with a title of "Goodbye 2023". I had thought about continuing on with the week on one layout and including the 31st there but changed my mind. I'm going to do a month in review instead and just highlight 5 to 7 photos from the month on a single page layout. I am still taking at least one photo a day so I will still have a few photos to choose from during the months that not a lot is happening. I am also continuing with my "5 on 5" project. I take at least 5 photos on the 5th of the month then do a layout. My final weekly layout for 2023 (all weeks had the same format with the cluster and month areas changing depending on what photos I used). I also used the same background papers throughout a month along with the same cluster items. I ended up with 6 different themes so July has the same theme as January. The December pages had the same theme as June. I love the cohesiveness of it! 10

I am still in the photo process, it has being a busy two weeks with hubby sick and today a day of dawning the hazmat suit ( AKA: rubber gloves) and cleaning and disinfecting everything. Next week I should be in full on P52 and workshop mode. Lots of photography gonna be happenin'! 2
Corrie Kinkel Posted January 14 Posted January 14 This week is all about my husbands birthday and he insisted I didn't use a photo where he is on! But a photo of the "vlaai" a specific Dutch kind of cake with different toppings will do perfectly. It originated in the province of Zuid-Limburg, but is now widely available and loved. For this week I changed the colors of the frame and text to suit the photo. Now wait and see what week 3 brings.... 6

With this size I see that I have to increase the kerning of the word week twee for the font I used, will do that for week 3 1

Ann Seeber Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Week Three, and my little Tuxie girl, Eve, is dominating my thoughts. She has had what the vet eye specialist calls a corneal ulcer (or possible Feline Herpes Virus-1) since November. My daughter and I have had to drive her an hour away to the vet hospital in Brewster, NY twice now and another time next week. Keeping my fingers crossed that he will see healing when we go on the 23rd. He says she can see all right. 2 5

I don't recall seeing them here in the forum. I don't go to the gallery much for some reason, just the forums.
Mary Solaas Posted January 15 Posted January 15 Outside my window this morning. We havent had snow in quite a while, but this started yesterday and promises to keep up today. Hope we don't lose power, but at least we didn't have ice first as sometimes happens. 5

Honestly, I'm not a fan of the gallery here so I don't use it. Probably why I don't post many layouts. Guess I should also say that I also don't post my layouts to other galleries either. The gallery at TheLilyPad is the only one I post to and that is usually only in January during their Month of Challenges event since you can't win any prizes if you don't! I had mentioned it before in the thread Suzy had started about P52 in the Diamond section of the forum.
