  1. I forgot how interesting the kaleidoscope effect is! This was a little plant given to us when we attended grandchild Jackie's wedding. Her hubby is a horticulture enthusiast and he had put out baby succulents for us to take home that day. Originally it was 1/4 the size of this. One of my few successes with a houseplant. It did stay outdoors all summer. The title font is Vivaldi, the journaling font is Copperplate Gothic, the mask is cass-SimpleArtsy-Template01.

Day 3 and I was looking for a mask in my stash and this one was a Diamond of last year. Just a title - font Bavire - and a string of brads that I recolored. After some trying with the kaleidoskop I'm going for this one, which is a very subtle pattern otherwise I didn't like it.

Beautiful, Corrie! I seem to recall Creosote having a strong smell. Does the bush have an odor, too?

Thank you Ann for your story, is it summer and i think very entertaining (?) but my story....

The bride wore a black, oriental dress with red cross-stitch embroidery on the top and we were served totally inedible African food. We said goodbye early because of the long journey home... and ate our fill at a highway service station at Burger King on the way🍔🥪🍟🍕 😄

Doska, that is a very amusing story! 😆 The description of the wedding dress sounds much like the maid-of-honor at Will's wedding. Here she is with the drum. The bride is on the left and the groom on the right. The officiant is just behind her.

I have already experienced such a wedding...right down to the unusual food...from a German couple from the married family...

I did too, Doska, at my grandson, Will's, "hippie" wedding in California. It was held on the bank of a river and the bride arrived by boat.

  5. I was born the same year WWII started and manufacturing was all for the war effort, so my grandfather had to construct a wooden sled for me to fly down the nearby steep hill. I found this stock photo at Deposit Photos with a Google search and it looks very similar to my Red Sled. 😊 I kept it for years and used it as winter decor when my daughters were young; propped up outside next to the front door with a pile of fake snowballs in front of it. 🙃

  6. My Lesson Two - It's a Party! This occurred Saturday, Feb. 10, though his birthday was on the 6th. I used the same old template as last time. Discovered some strange layers. 😁 It happens when I'm struggling with masks, especially if they're in French! 😆 I created the plaid, and the balloons are a template from Marisa Lerin. I do struggle to align photos in a mask that is on an angle. I tried the Free Rotate tool but didn't see much change with it. Is there a trick to it?

Yes it does brighten the room and my spirits! This weather what we have at the last weeks or even months is a real pity because outside the crocuses and daffodils planted alongside some streets and pavements are almost drowning and they still are starting to flower but look droopy!

Corrie: I was inspired by your flower photo, so I did another one of my moth orchid, but as a closeup this time. Then, being on a roll with my iPhone in portrait mode, I also shot my succulent. (I will have to find out the variety before I use it in this challenge.) That is the extent of my house plants; I do not have the greenest of thumbs. 😉

The top one is a redo of the original from 2017. In case you guys don't remember, the game has been reusing themes for over a year now. Since FB pic size has changed, I've been trying to adjust to that format while using some skills I've learned in the past seven years (within the confines of the time I have every day). I'm sure you can all recognize Cassel's corner punches; I think I have them all. The font for this year's is Abongia from Creative Fabrica and the older one is Reybro from Fontbundles. The magnolias and the girl are from so long ago, I don't remember where I got them.

Amazing what a difference when you mirrored the portrait. Love it!

  10. Presenting a new member of my small feral colony, "Little," the kitten on the right. Short and very fluffy, it bounces around as kittens are prone to do. 😆 On the left is "Bae" who is not much older than "Little" but was flummoxed when the smaller one showed up and stole the only toy!

I recently participated in a pickleball clinic. One of the instructors was Ron. He is nationally and internationally known referee for pickleball. Just had to have a picture...

Wow, Bonnie! This has to be the best D.I.Y. result. I love the dotted background for the title. Very creative! Is that a font or an alpha?

LOL, you're probably kidding, but yes, it's different from the Limbo which I was good at when I was young. Jumping the Broom is an old wedding tradition. Enslaved people would jump the broom it to symbolize marriage since they weren't allowed to marry legally,

Wow! Significant tradition to highlight during Black History Month. Thanks!

  13. Comparatively speaking, we've had very little snow this year. I count myself lucky that my condo complex has good maintenance and clear everything right away. In fact, I had to drag out my snow shovel to clear the buildup of salt and grits they had tossed on my porch, in an overabundance of caution. The ferals come there to eat and the salt is bad for them as they lick their feet in their frequent grooming sessions. This overhead shot from my security camera shows them lounging after a feeding and also shows the salt on the concrete porch.

  14. Here's a little something I did for my great-grand Logan who is 3 years old today. He also just acquired a little baby brother, Jonah. They are the children of my granddaughter Ilana and her husband Maverick. She is the daughter of my daughter Laurey. They all live nearby in the Tri-States area (NY-NJ-PA)

I also had a cat years ago who had something similar. Good luck with the treatments or meds. I hope Tuxie gets better.

Thanks, Julie. Her name is Eve and her black and white coat pattern is called Tuxedo or "Tuxie" for short.

  16. My entry for the DIY Challenge. Using a photo of Deb and Aaron in their Airbnb on vacation in Inverness, Marin County, CA, and her photo of the beach as background. The clusters at the bottom are the same size as the larger rectangles in the template + an addition. The tag top left is a combo of the two small square elements in the template. I added more dotted areas; I like the effect. The frame and all other decor came from the ID-Circle of Life mega kit. The font used on the tag is Baskerville Old Face.
