  1. Thnak you, Susan. Yes, definitely. I love Art Deco.
  2. So far, I have created January thru June. The font is Samantha Upright from Creative Fabrica. I use the Vectorstroke script to add the birthstone for each month. The flowers for Jan and Feb are from Creative Fabrica and for March my own photo and bow. I used layer styles to highlight the month. The background is my own which I call glitter streaks. I redid the months using the cass custom calendar script which was just updated. Thank you Carole. All the calendar photos are my own or from family. Jan is a picture of Lake Erie in winter, the second is from my grandson on his way to snowboarding and the third is my picture of Detroit taken from across the river.
  3. I am so far behind because I keep going back and changing things. Someone mentioned a cass calendar script which I had to buy immediately and experiment with for a couple hours this afternoon.
  4. 1700+ Open Source Fonts (OFL) › Fontesk A good source for open source fonts.
  5. I completed January. The script is Samantha Upright from Creative Fabrica. I spent quite a bit of time deciding on the font. I used the directional tube script to make a garnet and then ran Vector Tube. I used Layer Styles to add an outer glow to January.
  6. My January and February--I am using a color and birthday flower for each month. Although I have a lot of flower pictures, I don't have pictures of violets or carnations, so I used CF Spark. I may just continue using it for each flower for consistancy. The font is Alamonte Snow. Photos are my own.
  7. I recently watched a PBS program call "World on Fire" which was about WWII and decided to try to replicate an image that I made several years ago. No matter what I tried, I couldn't remember what I had done, so I made a new one using Balls and Bubbles effect. The earth is from CF Spark. I tried to use it as a Bump map which didn't work and ended up using it for the surface.
  8. I am really enjoying my Creative Fabrica membership. The house and the black pumpkin was generated with CF Spark Crystalline, The witch and the pumpkins with witch hats are from deeezy.com. The moon is from a Hawksmoor brush, and the spider webs are from Janet Kemp. The dead tree, the bats, the spiders and the witch on a broom are preset shapes converted from a Halloween font called Groovy Night dingbats from Creative Fabrica. The title is a font called Ghost Party, also from Creative Fabrica. The Ghost Rider is a photo of my grandson made up for Halloween. The fence is a tube.
  9. I have just purchased a membership for Creative Fabrica instead of Adobe Express. Does anyone have experience with Creative Fabrica and their CF Spark?
  10. Unfortunately, the canvas was broken when it arrived. Customer Service so far has been responsive, and I am sending them pictures so that it can be reprinted.
  11. The Christmas frame is a Paintshop freebee.
  12. Matthew is giving it to Lane for her birthday. He will also be having it framed. The site had frames, but we thought it would be better if he could go to someplace like Michael's and pick out his own frame. I made the arrows and the applied a blend mode. I think the glitters are from deeezy.
  13. I have been working on this collage for my grandson. He sent me the pictures that he wanted to include. I made the hearts and the arrows and used a lot of techniques learned in the Travel and Magazine workshops. The background was made using the plug in gmic. The original size is the poster size 24 by 36 and will be on canvas from Easy Canvas.
  14. Day 7 Lake Mead was created by the building of the Hoover Dam. The photos are from my grandson and his girlfriend who live in Las Vegas. The kids and their dogs love the lake for its recreational activities. I've used the same background and waves on all my pages.
  15. Here is the story which is hard to read on the 600 size template.
  16. Day 6: The Hoover Dam bridge is an awesome sight. The top photo is my own. The bottom photo is from my grandson taken while they were camping under the bridge. The font is Arial.
  17. Day 5: I had to use my Las Vegas grandson to fill in some pictures of Hoover Dam, Lake Mead and desert wildlife. Font is carlsonopenfaceBT. The waves are from the cass wave script.
  18. I got the waves using the cass wave script and colored them to match the background,
  19. Day 4: Photos of some of the flowers and cacti found in the desert.
  20. Day 3: Hoover Dam, looking down at part of the power plant. Font is Starlite inline from deeezy.com
  21. My day 2: I was side tracked the last two days designing a new business card for my son. The photo was an overview of the dam. I used the same background, stripes and colors as the first page. The font is Arial. My photos cannot do justice to the immense size of the dam and its surroundings.
  22. Day 1: After going through my picture file and starting one then another, I finally decided to use my Hoover Dam pictures, although mere pictures cannot do justice to the size of this amazing work of engineering. The font is Star full inline from deeezy, com. The separator waves are from the casswaves script. The background is from one of my texture photos-granite. The succulents are tubes.
  23. I am definitely not an artist, but I wanted to try to make a Teddy Bear. Starting with vector shapes to which I applied plush using the cass plush script, I used a lot of what I have learned about shading. The paws are tubes which I modified. I used a vector to trace the ear of a teddy that I downloaded using AI and the script to merge and cut out the inner shape. The background is from the Masterclass on Pop ups that I never completely finished. The tree is from Digital Scrapbook, and I'm not sure where I got the presents. All the other shapes--head, body, legs and arms were made from vectors.
  24. Particle shop is trial and error for me. I just keep playing with it until I have something that I like. The dandelion seeds were easier than most.
