Since I'm sticking with 2022 Ultimate, I'll just pass - the neon idea is what got me to download them (I've since deleted the download).  Will work with your neon instructions.

Did you try ABR Mate.  It works on some but not all PS brushes.  And converts them to PS7 and from there I import to PSP and PSP does whatever it does to conver them.  Very big PS files have never worked.  I bought some from photographers I like, sometime I can get one extracted but not all of them and other times I can get more.  Some PS brushes I've gotten have both a newer version and older PS7 version for download. What I thought I noticed before was the newer brush  files (from current versions) are really big.  Not sure if that makes a difference or not.  The neon tutorial sounds interesting.  Hmmm....could a script be written for this I wonder.

OK.  I worked with that multi layer described in February 2023 Q&A.  this is what I came up with.  I know it is fall, but this is summer.

    Fabulous colors.

Very nice, Mary! Your colors are gorgeous. The only thing that looks a little odd, to me, is the photo is tilted to the right and the flowers end up growing sideways a bit. I'm not sure if that's what you intended...

Looks like they are on a little mound or hill.  This is how a lot of the flowers were at this Garden place I used to go to as it was quite hilly there.  the flowers had to lean forward to reach for the sun as there was also a lot of huge evergreen trees.  My sunflowers did this too.  Inexperienced as i am, I put them too close to the garage wall and they had to grow at an angle to get to the sun by having to go around the eavestrough.  But then, they were mutants topping out a near 10' when they were supposed to be 6-6.5 feet tall.

Yesterday was a beautiful day so I was out taking some photos.  I got lucky and one of the farmers was out harvesting his soy beans.  The two field photos are from the ones I took then.  The other pics are "borrowed" from online shopping sights (I know, shame on me)   The background paper was created from two papers I downloaded from Creative Fabrica.

    Soybean Harvest time. 6.jpg

Love that background paper.  I drink Silk, but the oatmilk version.  And the coconut, used to drink the almond until they changed it and now it's gross.

Donna, I have experience, but they have expanded the Spark offerings so much, I really have experience in two things- Patterns is the big one, but also transparent images. I think Mary is your better bet but I am happy to help if it's something related to plain old patterns or the website in general.

One thing I would like to say is that sometime in the summer, before Spark, both Susan and I got a HUGE deal on a one-year membership - was it $4.95 a month for a year, payable all at once, Susan? THEN after purchasing that, they offered a second year for $3.95 a month, payable all at once for the whole year. I worry that they will start charging for Spark separately now that's gotten so big.

I think you'll like Creative Fabrica.

It was something like that Suzy.  I got a killer deal on the one time purchase for the year, and then they offered a second year even cheaper.  It was in November because it's all free for me until November 2024.

Template 200 by Lady 22, AKA, Bourico Casper.

November 1, 2018...visiting my home State. This fellow flew to this spot on the boardwalk and we were standing right there. He (she) stayed a long time and enjoyed posing for photos.

The best kind of close encounter!  How do they stay so white.  Beautiful bird and photo.  I like that mask.  I did not know Bourico Casper is Lady 22.

Thanks Susan...and no, she's much better looking!  ? While the  house is ready to move into, ComEd is not co-operating as they still haven't hooked up the houses in our cul-de-sac. City won't allow closings until the electricity is in and working. Not happy!  ?

Oh, that's awful.  Nothing worse that waiting for someone to do their job.

In the spirit of Halloween, to make this goofy creation, I used Carole's "Freaky Filters" masterclass as well as her ghost tubes, with some CF Spark png creations. "I'll get you my pretty"

Nice to see you back Lynda.   Hope this isn't a self portrait. ?.  How's the new house?

When you mentioned Morse and Endeavour, my heart skipped a beat! The very closing moments of the last episode of Endeavour just blew me away. I think my first PBS binge was 'way back with the first Poldark (Robin Ellis). I was hooked from then on. I still miss Alistair Cooke as host.

wow, lots for me to check out.  thank you Julie.

Father Brown is a  great all round drama series, you will  thoroughly enjoy it.  Another  classic golden oldie  drama series started on Monday night on Vision.   Ballykissangel  check it out.   It was a great hit when it was first aired back in 1995.  I ran for  6 or 7 series I believe.

Awesome, I'll look for it.  I've seen that title before and never looked.  Such an odd name ....Ballykissangel.

I'm going to look into Father Brown and Death in Paradise.  They look good.  My hubby is good at finding shows on various channels, free streaming services etc.  thanks for the input.

Sue, another beautiful page... And repeating myself, I love to observe every detail, like one of the admission tickets below the frame.

I like them too, they look so real.  And I like that the frame they are tucked under is a little off kilter (crooked) and the photo is a little lifted.  It's those little details that elevate the layout.  Aren't they a delight to discover?

@Chris Schults Thanks for the uptick.  It looked intriging but I can't afford the piggy property as my PC is getting full and can't afford a new one just yet.

I took a pass too.  But now I see what it does, it's cool.  Still, it's at the bottom of the list for now.  I will be excited to see what people make from it though.

I have been working on this collage for my grandson. He sent me the pictures that he wanted to include. I made the hearts and the arrows and used a lot of techniques learned in the Travel and Magazine workshops. The background was made using the plug in gmic. The original size is the poster size 24 by 36 and will be on canvas from Easy Canvas.

What a great layout!  I love those arrows and little stars. I like that all the frames are different.  the Christmas one is so cute.

Well Susan!  You saw what I was trying to achieve. Movement! I watch the leaves on the  trees and on the ground, as  the wind blows them in all directions, until they  settle in their final resting places.  Like myself,  you do more than merely look  at a page, you  interpret what it's  trying to  saying.

Thank you for that Sue.  It was pretty easy to imagine it that way.  I love leaves too, especially this time of year.  The color in the dried ones are so nice.  And I have an indoor cat who makes it her mission to try and capture them as they fly by the window outside, so in turn, I spend a lot of time watching the leaves she is trying to chase down.  We also have big trees on our street and in the fall it's raining leaves, really spectacular to watch.   I have a co-worker that I walk into work with and we are constantly stopping to look at leaves or various natural things, we are delighted when we see a little whirlwind with circling leaves in it.  The other day the wind was making the leaves tumble across the pavement and the leaves make the mose interesting sound.  although I did say it sounded like giant alien insect feet scampering about (at least that's what Hollywood wants me to "think" is giant insect feet scampering about). Nature is awesome.

I changed the  font for the main text Heading. As I didn't like the font used for the font challenge.  Although it isn't  Halloween themed, it is  a very seasonal, appropriate page, for this time of year.

    Autumn leaves (2).jpg

I love what you did with the word "leaves", the 'L' and 'E' look like gusts of wind swirly the leaves around.

I already did a Halloween layout for the theme of this month. We don't have a long tradition of Halloween festivities, nowadays it is more common, but it doesn't appeal that much to me. The grandkids are in the States and they of course participate. If I was there at this time of the year I would take a lot of photos, but over here no....

The Witch Mystery font however is a nice one and I used it for this layout featuring the "Windmills of Kinderdijk" (Netherlands), a Unesco World Heritage Site. Funny enough my cousin, who came along, and I, have never been there! We have both live not very far away from Kinderdijk, but as it is with things that are nearby we never got there because we thought: oh we can always do that. So last week we went to see those mills for ourselves and had a great day with fantastic weather and being offseason it was not congested as it can be in the summer. We didn't have to wait to take the little boats that ferry you along the 19 mills that are there. I have photos of the inside of one of the mills that we could visit, may I use those in another layout. Oh and all the mills dating from the 16th century and up are still in working order. They are designed to pump the water out of the canals to the river to keep the land dry and the other way around. Nowadays there are 2 pumping stations that do the same with electric machinery and the mills are a backup system.

For this layout I used template Lab 12-11and 4 of the photos I took that day. When we arrived, it still was a bit hazy and I used one of the hazy photos as a background, copied it and the used the blendmode Burn which made it more like a silhouette, but not as black. Then an overlay called Windy Pastels (Inky deals) with the blendmode Difference. I was trying different overlays to get something interesting and I like this result, it gives a sort of painting effect. Some embellishments from my stock and the other font is Aura.

    Font-Challenge-Oct.2023-600.jpg

    I love that background effect.

I love Amazing Race too. They have a Canadian version too which is so much fun when they show places that are familiar. Last year, they even filmed right here, in town, and visited places I am vary familiar with. One pit stop was in Pokeshaw, where this picture was taken. It was right at the bottom of the picture, on the beach. I would drive by there twice a day when going to work.

For the other reality shows, I like to see the challenges and such, but I am a bit annoyed with the drama. One show I don't watch is Big Brother. I have had it on, sometimes, while waiting for another show, but I find the drama too much and I don't like their challenges. I am not sure why.

Wow, what a beautiful picture and the colors in that sunset are unreal.  I would love that drive to work everyday!  I see nice borders too.  Is that "AddBorders?",  maybe a script and your name, is it a picture tube?  What a good idea when i saw that in that Scripting video you did for Corel.

Reality TV is pretty much most of what I watch besides crime documentaries and shows like Forensic Files. I like seeing the process of investigation into the crimes.

As for The Traitors. I never saw the first season of the US series as it was on Peacock and I didn't subscribe to it. But last spring, they did a marathon on the Bravo channel and I was able to watch it there. Then about a month ago I found out that season 2 was being filmed (filming should have ended this week). No idea if I'll be able to watch it since nothing has been said about where it will be shown. I really enjoyed it. I would like to watch the other versions but don't have access to them. I'm pretty much limited to anything USA based since I don't subscribe to any streaming services.

I like reality TV because I can start and stop at anytime. I don't really like series anymore. Just this week I've missed every show I watch because of surgery and being in the hospital longer than planned (I'm doing good though!). But I can easily pick up on them next week. And with reality TV it is usually 13 shows and done.

I would have to say my favorite is The Amazing Race. I love to see the different places they go. Some of the other series I have watched, I have taken off watching for a few seasons and then when I watch again, it is fresh and new.

I was thinking about you.  Glad to see you back in the Campus and to hear you are doing well.

I have a friend who is also adopted (and French Canadian), and she has never had any interest in digging into her bio roots. Different strokes....as they say. I would be like Jannette and digging so fast, but that's just me (and Jannette).

    Now that's a weird coincidence isn't it?
