Here are May, June, July and August. Not complete but started with backgrounds, photos and the Wakanda font for the month to keep it consistent. I have added a strip file I used for the 2022 Calendar workshop so I would be able to have the days of the week. I'm glad I kept it! In date order, the photos are the African Lion, the Cape Buffalo, the Honey Badger and the Caracal. I will be adding details as we go along.

Ann, very beautiful calendar.  I love the Cape Buffalo layout and that you used white font/dates, the black is perfect and I never thought to go black.  I'm so far behind.  Busy week at work (Black Friday flyers, ugh) so I hope I catch up this weekend.

Only after I'd finished the March calendar did I realize that Easter is in March this year... So, later, I will change it to an appropriate photo.

This photo will be in April then.

I still used the same overlay with blend mode.

I don't know if that's the one I watched quite a while ago, but I had to stop when the cameras were filming one who was dying of thirst and heat under a scraggly tree. All I could think was, give him a drink for goodness' sake! And anything is better than what the Kardashians were filmed doing.

I don't get that either.  Film makers film the harshness of nature and do nothing.  I couldn't stand by and just watch.  I watched a show about a pride of lions and one the the babies got separated and they filmed in and kept saying if it doesn't reunite with the mother it will die (which I think it did in the end) and it was getting weaker and weaker.  It was heartbreaking.  I'm not naïve about the harshness of nature, but we humans created a lot of natures struggles so we should be trying to save, fix or help anything that needs it and quit saying that it's cycle of nature.  I can believe that statement in a time long before mankind, but not now.

Meerkat Manor!   Has anyone watched  this  British  television programme.  Produced by the Oxford scientific   films, which first aired back in 2005.   It ran for 3 or 4 yrs.  I didn't miss an episode, one of the best  natural dramas ever made.   Its a drama series, following a family of Meerkats in the Kalahari desert.   The kardashian family isn't a patch on the Whiskers family.

I watched a little bit of it.  But dont have that channel anymore.

Well it looks like I won't be able to do any more months.  Both my Mozilla firefox and google chrome is asking for a varification  code sent to my cell phone when I try to sign into my e=mail account.   Problem is I don't have a cell phone.   If I get this resolved I will be back on. GRRRRR

Oh Anne, that is awful.  I just went through some computer woes that took my husband two full days and much research (just to talk to a human) to get it resolved. Once he talked to a real, actual human it was fixed in less than a minute!  I wish you luck and a speedy recovery of your e-mail account and all other computer woes.  Sometimes, computers are just plain evil!

What is that font you are using? It looks like a fun one!

It's called Creative Vintage.  From Creative Fabrica.  it does have glyphs and ligatures.  I used it for the Magazine workshop and since the cameras are all 40+ yrs old I went for a Vintage style font.

Ever such creative work submitted by talented ladies and gentlemen.  Some will know that  3 weeks tomorrow I will be flying home, which  had meant   that throughout the summer I had been  busy plodding away with calendars, cards  and advent calendars.  This year I made 3 different calendars, insects, landscapes and  mammals.  It just so happened that I used the very first set of templates for this calendar.  So I thought I'd post Jan and Feb, as I am not actually participating this year.   I created my own rounded date boxes.

    Februarya.jpg

Wowzers!  Both months are gorgeous!  I love how you did the date boxes with the lowered opacity photo (is that right?).  Did you make a mask out of the date boxes.  What creative and wonderful ideas you have.  Super inspiring.  Have a safe trip, a fabulous time at home and I hope you are able to check in with the Campus so we know how you are doing?

  8. Here is the start of my Calendar - Jan/Feb

I mostly have portraits orientation on the cameras I did photograph for the Magazine workshop.  So, I will be in the studio shooting again to get some in landscape format.  I'm sticking with the Creative Vintage font I used in the Magazine workshop.  I will add the background as the lessons continue.  I like that we build on each one and then go back to the previous months to add the new techniques.  Good practice for me.

Good question. Based on the templates provided, the image will end up horizontal,  about 2400x1700 pixels. If you have a recent version of PSP, you will be able to enlarge photos that might be a bit too small.

thank you, I wanted to know this too.  It will help decide on photos.  I do want to do the cameras and tie it in with my almost finished Magazine workshop.  So some of the photos will be used again, but I wanted to add some more.

Decided to play with Cassel's Echo Text Mask-Family Sampler. I played with various group photos, but this seemed to work the best. This is a great portrait of my granddaughter and her husband from earlier this year. It turned out like a Word Art comp. The font for the title and side info is Ravie. Now I'll acquire the script so I can customize it.

That's really nice Anne.  the colors are beautiful and as always your gradients are radiant!

I guess this is one of those "try anything" steps like reboot the computer, delete the cookies (or eat them), delete the cache, update the browser (or try with a different one). We never really know which one will work but always worth a try.

    Glad it worked!

..."or eat them" .  That's hilarious.

We are quickly approaching  the Winter Solstice,  which entails the festive season.   This year's advent calendars for my little girls are already  en route.  Seeing as Michele has posted a  lovely Xmas  page, and mentions having fun colouring.  I thought I'd post some of the dates that are printed onto  multi purpose removable labels. (11/2 x 11/2  inches) which are easy for the girls to peel off.  I have a nice large collection of Xmas monogram fonts which I use, and grows with  each year.  I use the same font for the numbers( Ariel).   Colouring is time consuming, but I really do  enjoy the tediousness of  it.

It is NEVER to earl for Christmas for me.  These are fabulous.  Your organization skills are an art in themselves. Getting everything made and out the door on time is really something. When I'm stressed, I organize.  I've seemed have lost my touch with it though.

Well, here's another unfamiliar phrase, though I've seen you use it before. My own take on "chuff" is the sound an adult tiger makes in greeting! LOL But here's the explanation for your use of "chuffed" - "It means ‘pleased’ but there are various different levels of chuftness:

Chuffed - standard level, mildly pleased

Highly chuffed - more than just chuffed

Well chuffed - satisfied as well as pleased

    Chuffed to bits - thrilled

Seriously chuffed - said by usually men who don’t want to admit how chuffed they really are.

Dead chuffed - The ultimate in chuftness ie You couldn’t be more chuffed."

Very cool words, love Dead chuffed cause I like the definition  word used:  "chuftness".

Seeing all the above OOB's I will have to go and search for some mockups that I like and that will go with my photos.

In the mean time I like to show what I have been up to with the scripting course. I have posted there my result but that is only visible for the members of the course, so I will post it here too. I have been making my first "real" script, not something for practice only. I made a postage stamp script that can use landscape, portrait or square format with a border for which you can choose the color. You can choose to have no text or with a simple text for which you can again select the color. When testing I used some X-mas related images, so I can use them this year. I have used the "ribbon tree", that Sue T has generously shared with us last year, for one of the postage stamps. Thanks again Sue! The Kinderdijk postage stamp was the one I used to code the script so I could adapt it for the other formats, colors and text.

Fabulous work Corrie.  You are doing so well with scripting.  You are almost done!  What an incredible accomplishment for you and everyone in the group.

When I try to post something it tells me to log in.  I am already logged in but have to log out and log back in to post. Does anyone else have this problem?

In the past I've had this but not recently.  Wonder why this happens.

Yikes, that sounds so complicated and frustrating! I think I'd give up on that! Some days just are lost days, no matter what we try to do to improve them.

Hubby spend a few hours trying all different kinds of instructions and finally found a place when he could put his phone number in and get a call-back.  The call was immediate and after a 10 minute hold the nice lady in India just gave him a code and made it work.  yeesh, two days for a 30 second phone conversation to fix it.  So back in business and now I will get my PSP workspaces up and running as we had done (a couple months ago) all new installs on all the programs to have a nice clean start.  Although I lost all the saved emails it's really a blessing in disguise.  I get to start all over with email and keep the inbox to a manageable number.
