What a cool coffee maker! Very stylish and of course the 'C' cup is perfect.

I don't cross-stitch but I really love it. My sister in law and niece make the most beautiful pieces. This will be a great feature wall when you are done. You'll be busy visiting a lot more states too. I have fond memories doing latch hook rugs with my mom.

Oh, this is so neat Ann. I almost did Cats...in a box, but changed it. I'm glad to see at least one cat here.

I too was fighting reflections today. the gist of reflections is the angle of incidence (that angle it hits the subject/surface) equals the angle of reflection(the angle it bounces off the subject/surface). You want to be outside that angle and sometimes it just seems impossible or the angle is so crazy your subject would look terrible and mishapen. Other times are giving it something to reflect. Like a a huge white reflector so that all it sees is white; good for silver. Or a huge black reflector depending on what it is you are lighting. Often i have to cut a hole for my lens to poke through a black foam core sheet but mostly I just get the best I can and hope no one notices. Other things to consider is shiny black, if you don't give it something to reflect (ie. a white reflector ) then you wont see it, and glass on white background often needs a black reflector so you can see the edges of the glass (and white reflector if the glass is against a black background). It's so hard, believe me, I love that stuff and I still am very bad at it.

Yummy to each and every item!

Yay, Bonnie's back in the campus. These layouts are wonderful. I really like the Selfies and Lab 14-12 layouts.

I thought about getting 2025 too, but thought if I use it very little or for just a few techniques (styles, brushes etc) then having a stand alone that goes beyond 3 years would be a better deal. If I like it and use it then I'll jump on the 3 yr license.

this is a good idea, watching then pausing. I will follow this too. After the wedding stuff is done by mid-end of march.

That's cool Mary. I was also thinking we could erase with a grey and bring a small amount of color in so it's a little desaturated and old looking. There is a lot of possibilities with this technique.

That worked great Ann.

Guess who just bought PSE 2024 (stand Alone). Yup, me. First there was none to be had, then I was on Amazon again and there was licenses available only for Canada so I jumped on it. I decided on PSE because I have previously downloaded PS styles not knowing what they were so that was deciding factor. And I have some PS brushes that are too large to convert to using in PSP, even using ABR Mate. Maybe PSE will open them. I remember how foreign PSP was and how much I struggled but kept going anyway. I think everyone is doing fabulous. The layouts you are making are beautiful.

I wonder if Affinity has a spot-healing brush and I wonder how it works if it did have one.

That is really neat Ann. I only noticed the artifacts once you mentioned them. Could you use the clone tool on them?

I see hare tracks on my lawn. Not as much as when we moved in since other people have moved into the neighborhood that have outdoor cats. One hare used to sleep in the garden, we'd watch it from the window so we didnt disturb it. At work we'll see hare tracks and coyote tracks. Oh, and I have about 10 trillion pigeon tracks in the back yard on the patio area...I counted! They aren't the best house guests. I have a resident red squirrel but it's tracks are too small to see. She/he does race around the tree guarding it from other squirrels and knocking the snow as it goes.

I love this affect and the roller coaster has a really nice depth to it. Did you have bigger shadows on the astronaut and football player in the spots that were over the deep part (with the green background. Thanks for telling us how you achieved the effects. It makes a striking layout.

So much learn. this is cool, it looks something like what I've heard as "color grading" and something called LUTs. I'm trying to get back to the labs too. After I get the wedding stuff out of the way, hopefully by mid March.

Wow Corrie, that's beautiful. I enjoyed reading about your Affinity experiences and how you are learning it. That's a nice feature to be able to change color on an already beveled Text.

Looks great Ann. I like that 1 px rule, it does stand out very well.

I agree with Michele, these are quite striking. Even looking at the 'incoming' shot, the head has a raptor look to it. Even more surprising is size of their wing span. These are great photos Ann. You have a lot of great photographers in your back pocket. I like that font. I'm wondering if there is supposed to be an 'i' in incoming. I am the last person who should be asking this kind of question, giving my history of spelling mistakes.

I liked that too. It's the little touches like that I want to remember.
-
yes, that's it. Thank you. It's easier than I thought. I will have to give it a try when I get a chance.

laughing at the superpower part. Agree strongly with the getting it right in a layout. thank goodness for all of you that help me make that happen.
-
Once I read the tag I looked for prints and found them. Welcome home...later today.

Oh, bummer. It was hard to see and I'd never had seen it if you hadnt told me. I am the Queen of mistakes, which is weird because my superhero persona is Eraser Girl, my superpower is to make mistakes disappear. That was just a joke my co-worker from years ago and me used to joke around, he asked if I had a superpower what would it be, I said to not make mistakes. he dubbed me Eraser Girl. He also dubbed me Fibre Queen (this is how he addresses my Christmas card) because i eat lots of salad and vegys and fruit.

Oh Wow! I love this. Who doesnt love shiny things. I know I sure do. I'm glad you spoiled yourself. We all need to do that now and then.
