Yes, that is what I have been going through. It led me to the Moncton university, however, when I contacted them, they said they have cleared all books from before 1990 (which was not updated on worldcat!) Still trying to find someone to check things for me as the information is typically not available on those sites as to which edition I am actually looking for! ? I was hopefully when I saw the mention of Moncton as it is just over 2 hours drive from here so I could have gone in person.

Yes, I did. I found ONE volume (V. 13) and it was not in that volume. I don't know if it is even the correct edition either.

So you would do "life-size" furniture with that? Cool! What kind of items did you get printed that way? How do you find those places and how do you get it shipped back? I am curious because my son plays with a little 3D printer but dreams of something much much bigger! And yes, 3D printing is more and more affordable (although I am not sure about that size!)

The year after this photo was taken, we moved, and the whole set was "lost". There are some tutorials with wire furnitures (I had found those), but it is not what I remember. And there is a LOT of information available on YouTube, and in FB groups. If anyone wants to give it a try, join those groups. It is amazingly inspiring.

Have you ever kept very old books from your childhood? If so, they could be worth a scrapbook page! If you ever have some special contacts to help me find the tutorials I am looking for, here is the information I have: it would be an edition before 1970 (likely in the '50s or early '60s) it was called Encyclopédie de la Jeunesse (someone hinted that it might be the French version of the Book of Knowledge, but I am not sure about that) there was a section for crafts and various activities to do there were tutorials and patterns to create a little village and some doll furniture using metallic wire (I think it was brass) in the furniture tutorials, each item was created with a single strand of wire that was folded, bent, curved, etc. Nothing was glued or soldered the furniture included a table and chairs for the kitchen, a hutch for the dining room, a sofa, and coffee table for the living room, a double bed with a canopy, for the bedroom, a rocking chair, and a bassinet for the nursery. Once I can find the exact edition that has those tutorials, I can find a way to either borrow the volumes or find someone who could scan the tutorials for me. It is a big ask, but it is fun to search! Let's chat!

But it looks interesting nevertheless!

The center which seems like a different color is just a different "saturation" of the same color. What do you get if if you use the brush at a much larger scale? What colors does it show?
-
Everyone here knows it is a safe site. Some anti-virus are just over-zaleous. Don't worry. As for the categories, don't worry about searching in the "correct" one as the search will look everywhere for you.

You can keep it and export it as a preset shape, for future use. For the script, from memory, I think it will rasterize it because picture tubes can't be vectors. And yes, you can save that flower as a brush. Remember that a brush will be a single color, so it will ignore the fact that you might have added a yellow center to a purple flower. If you keep the center white, it will be a hole in the imprint and yes, you can always fill it manually after, but depending on how many flowers you have, it could be tedious!

Some participants HAVE added shadows so you would not have been alone!

This month, we are longing for spring (which might be closer for some than others). Let's showcase something in those colors. You can create background, papers, and elements from those colors to showcase your photos. Although the photos don't have to have to be in those colors, it is fine if it is too. So what will you be making? Can you create a project using these colors?

It usually takes a couple of weeks to get the guidebook transcribed and formated.

We got the notification in September. I brought it up in the Campus newsletter too. Corel had acquired several programs over the years that were not graphic programs (WinZip, WordPerfect, MindManager, Parallel) and it kind of didn't seem to match the Corel/graphic association I guess. Now, it seems like the name Corel is staying associated with the graphic programs (CorelDraw, PSP, VideoStudio, Painter, etc.) but the others won't have Corel associated directly. So Alludo is kind of the "parent company" as they stated.
-
Actually, PSP has a canvas TEXTURE, not a filter. And as for the CLOUDS, I used to use Mura"s Meister but it does not work in recent versions of PSP. I have been asking Corel/Alludo to add a similar option but no luck so far. Yes, I would love to make a script to add that functionality. On my to-do list!

So basically, the tutorial is "use this texture and sharpen it a bit". I'll dig deeper to see how to CREATE that texture in the first place.
-
How is it done in Photoshop? What I see is that instead of dark "grunge", it might be using "light" random brush imprints. It also seems to have a texture. Not sure if it is part of it or not. Do you have a tutorial for Photoshop I can look at and see what, in PSP, can be used?

Just for the fun of it, we will be having a fun activity in the Campus: an Easter Hunt. It will be similar to the Treasure hunt that took place last September, but it will be smaller in scale and limited to the Campus blog. The hunt will take place April 8-10. So you will have 3 days to find all your eggs. The clues are meant to be quite easy. If you are really stuck, you can ask questions in this thread. To keep it interesting, I would ask that nobody gives the direct answers or the direct URL for any clue. I don't want anyone to get frustrated, but I also want you to browse the various articles (don't worry, there is no walking involved). Have fun!

@Suzy Here is a tutorial for it: https://www.loom.com/share/b5054578e9b34fb188a1567760001ca2 You will see that it is super simple and you can create flowers with more petals or with different shapes too.

The script will use any element and turn them into confetti. So you can probably use a preset shape (I think there is one with 5 petals), make it in the color you want (you can even add a little yellow dot in the center if you want, and then, run the script. That will give you a confetti picture tube. Then, using the new tube, you can scatter them however you want (in a line, around the edges of a page, in a spiral, etc.) and save that as a png and it will be a scattered element for your kit.

Whether you celebrate Easter or not, you might have organized or participated in Easter hunts or other activities around this time of year. What was it? Let's chat!

Can you just pull the pages out of the album without removing the photos? That is what we have done lately. And you can always use PSP to separate them from the others on a full-page scan. And if you scan the photos at 600 pixels per inch in resolution, you will end up with "larger" photos to use. Just a thought.
-
You can always use old pictures. Did you use every old picture you have?
-
Yes, photos or journaling should be avoided in the center for that reason. It also depends on the type of printing you get. Some printers offer a lay-flat book in which case, very little is lost, but that is not the case of most printers.
