  1. Isn't it amazing how many "silent observers" we have around? Hopefully, a lot of them will post in this thread so we can welcome them all!
  2. I have actually considered compiling SOME Master classes' written instructions and making them into a printed book. That would obviously be for non-members (selling it on Amazon), but I wonder if it would appeal to "outsiders". And if so, which Master Classes? What do you think?
  3. The Tuesday/Wednesday newsletter is from the Campus and is titled "Campus update" with the date. It is sent around 10 pm Eastern time, so in America, it is sent on Tuesday, but for Europe, it is already Wednesday.
  4. Whenever you create a project, it is likely that you will want to use some text. In this case, you might be looking for some interesting fonts to showcase titles or dates. This month, you will get the opportunity to download a free font that is a little different than usual. You can get this free font HERE. This looks like a fun hand-drawn grungy font. It should be pretty versatile, and you can "fill in" the back of the font for more colors!
  5. After we had some major issues on the site this week, a couple of people have experienced issues with logging in (and staying logged in). I feel it has something to do with those problems and it might be some leftover from it. If you are having issues with the logging, let me know. Obviously, if you can't log in (or stay logged in), you won't be able to reply here, so drop me an email instead. I want to make sure I fix that.
  6. No. If you want to apply the technique to something else, you can but this is not a "scrapbooking" workshop, at all. Only one lesson will use a photo but you might actually prefer to use a stock photo for the particular technique anyways.
  7. Congratulations!!!!!!
  8. I never had that for my own birthdays when I was a kid, and I never did it for my kids either. The most we would have would be a themed birthday cake and MAYBE things like matching plates and napkins if there were any. I guess party store marketers have done a great job to make it more mainstream and now, it is fairly common even though it is not everyone doing it. But you have a great question. I also wonder now, how common it is in various parts of the world.
  9. What do you think of the party planning so far? Have you ever attended a "dinosaur-theme" party? Do you have other suggestions? We already have a whole Pinterest board but new ideas are always welcome. Let's chat.
  10. This will be explained more in details in the workshop. It is Convertio, and there is an article on it HERE.
  11. The Leading is very finicky. Typically, you start at 0, where it should have "normal" spacing. If you want it less, use only a fraction like -0.2. That will let you see the change and you can adjust to have it closer (-0.4) or not as close (-0.1). Occasionally, some fonts are created with very large spacing. That has nothing to do with PSP, although you can use the Leading to play with it.
  12. A scraplift is just copying the "format". The theme you give is up to you ?
  13. Learning scrapbooking is often done with practice, looking around for inspiration and trying to recreate projects we admire. This challenge will give you an opportunity to personalize a project while trying to "copy" another one. Of course, you will change the title, the text, and the photos, but you will want to try to replicate the arrangements and some of the effects you see. It is a challenge but in the end, you will learn more about scrapbooking and your PaintShop Pro. This month, instead of giving you ONE single layout to copy, I am inviting you to choose one of the layouts featured in our monthly theme post, HERE. There are eight different pages you can copy. Which one would you choose? And if you want more information on "scraplifting", check out this article.
  14. Just about right! Isn't that easy? Check this article: https://scrapbookcampus.com/2017/11/using-the-straighten-tool-in-psp/
  15. In the layers palette, do you have the LAYER active or the OBJECT?
  16. As silly as it might sound, you have to "convert to path" to see the nodes appear. This will also be addressed in the Vector Workshop! ?
  17. That is quite nice. Will you use it in a layout?
  18. This is the post on Indoor Plants
  19. And you will have homeworks to practice too!
  20. Good catch. I guess it was scheduled for July 9th.
  21. Try again. It was there but I had forgotten to click "publish".
  22. Our newest challenge will soon start. Are you in? Are you intimidated by vectors? Are you at a loss when you need to use them? The challenge will start on July 17th. This challenge will be FREE for everyone, so spread the word. Here is the link again: https://scrapbookcampus.com/workshops/vector Let us know when you are registered, and share what is the biggest challenge or fear you have about using Vectors.
  23. Are you celebrating July 4th? Did you celebrate Canada Day on the 1st? Do you have plans for Bastille Day, on the 14th? Or maybe another holiday in July? What about general "vacation habits" in your area? Let's chat!
  24. It can be used pretty much like that, but they have a few more features than "just a printing with blades". For example, the Cricut can also score lines, so if you need a fancy box (like when I did the Chocolate Frogs boxes, the scoring made it so much easier to fold the boxes correctly. Maybe, some day, I could do an article on the blog to show how to go from PSP to the Cricut!
  25. Although there are some differences, the biggest similarity to PSP is how you could open/import a file, resize it to what you need and "print" it. With a Cricut, you can print on YOUR printer and then cut on the Cricut, or for other designs, you just cut. One thing I would say is that once you are familiar with PSP and you get to the Cricut interface, you will miss so many tools and functions of PSP! You can't do selections. You can erase to remove sections, etc. Personally, I will do all the work in PSP, and then save the PNG and import it in Cricut so I have very little manipulation to do with it.
