Lesson 5 Template I'm not sure if I should be posting here as the workshop is long over. All the papers are made by me with either PSP Textures or from my various Build A Kit papers, with the exception of the paper used in the background of the tea leaves, that was Riley B Graphics (Creative Fabrica). The ribbons are from my first build a kit called "F8 And Be There". I changed the size of the 4 papers to fit my elements. The cards are one of the elements from last years P52 Challenge. I pick all the things you'd need for a cup of tea. The doily is from a lab I did and magnet is an element from the P52 Challenge. The background started out as a paper from the "Time" Build A Kit last year; then I added about 3 or maybe 4 different PSP textures onto it. Photos are also mine. Fonts are Fugenta Script and Kingneverdie from Creative Fabrica.4 points

Hi Jeni! When I open the template and just do file save as, it does not have the extras in it.3 points

yes, that's right, I have "blonde" hair too. I'm getting blonder everyday, one big long spot right in front. ugh. It will be weird getting used to it when it's completely "blonde"2 points

Yes, thank you, we have that in English, too, Jacques, I have yet to find the adjustment menu that does the one-step photo fix, and noise removal, although there is a tool for blur and sharpening, and some of those necessities.2 points

Outstanding, as usual, Suz! I ❤️ the play on words. As a dyed in the wool coffee drinker, this gives me pause to try one of those interesting teas they push nowadays.1 point

I am pretty sure I could do this for the years that I was raising kids, or the years I went back to studying, there might or might not be pages without photos.1 point

I really enjoyed doing this I Have taken the photos for the letters I missed so hope to go back and do them at some point. This is one of the many small altars scattered around my home. The font is Arakunda. The template used was Cytisia-DCS-Template 2_ mai 2014 from digitalscrapbook.com the frame cass-HalloweenFrame-SpiderWeb also from digitalscrapbook.com.1 point

Thank you, Rene, when I found that forum, I found your hints for shadows and saved that.1 point

Linda, I noticed one or two of the files had extra on them, and Carole showed us how to remove that extra space...I went back and found that, and started saving before starting, by selecting all and copying, then pasting as 'new from clipboard'. That way, I could ensure there were no extras.1 point

Sue, if you saved your file in Aphoto, you should be able to open it back up and export it again as a PSD. When we do the templates, I have one copy saved as AFphoto so I can go back and make changes. Then I export one copy as a jpeg at 3600 x3600 and then export a copy as a jpeg at 600 x 600 to post to the group. It's a very quick process.1 point

I always just open the template and do File/Save As and save to whatever folder I will want it in. That way the template stays as it is and I have my AF file. I save quite often during the process because it is way to frustrating to do a lot of work and then lose it because it is not saved. But that is just my process.1 point

Ok so how do I get the 90 day trial? Seems I missed this somewhere I suspect in the end II will end up purchasing the suite even though I already have photo1 point

From what I have researched, there is a Red Eye Removal tool, but the other functions, I have not found. I am not sure if they exist and I didn't find them or if they don't exist. HOpefully, someone even more knowledgeable in Affinity could confirm (or infirm) this.1 point

To Affinity users: Does the software offer an equivalent to the PSP options just to enhance the image like: Adjust | One step photo fix Adjust | Smart Photo fix...1 point

My eyes are not as sharp as they once were, my hair is completely white, blonde, and I hold a wisdom card for pensioners, so please tell me what my tired old eyes do not see, Jacques.1 point

@Michele @Corrie Kinkel I just got some Lindor Dark Chocolate Truffles delivered by Amazon. I chose the large box of 24.4 oz which cost $25.99. The alternative 15.2 oz bag cost $26.00. I think I got a bargain. It's obviously packaged for sale in a display box but carefully shipped with an ice pack! Nice!1 point

I've had Affinity Design and Photo pretty much since it's conception. It was fun watching it all develop. I was a bit sad to see it sell but happy for all it worked best for. I purchased the 2. bundle so I do have all three. I've never been much for the publisher but it may just be because I've never had to use one. I'm most excited about Designer and really want to be as fluent with AD and AP as I am with PSP. I'm so excited you are starting these lessons with Affinity.1 point
