Jacques Posted June 27 Posted June 27 (edited) For fun, I finally decided to redo the same (or almost the same) presentations, but reversing the tool used the first time. What I did in Affinity, I'm doing again in PSP, and vice versa. So here's my day 1 with PSP. Edited June 27 by Jacques 1 9

Oops. mis spelled Party 😞 Isn't it always the case that once one has checked and double checked that everything is complete, that the second it gets posted, an error or typo is instantly spotted. Been there done that! 😆 6 1

Simply by removing the greyed area with a white brush. Also add shadows to the two other photos, to give them depth. 4 1

I used Paper 1 +2 (rather, tile size 1 + 2). it's interesting what comes out of accidently having two layers on that I'm comparing. It sent me down a rabbit hole playing with combinations. Probably too busy for me to use but would blend into a background maybe. I love them all, Susan. Changing the size of the tiles makes a big difference, but they are all beautiful. 1 1 2

Bee Kelly Posted June 30 Posted June 30 Day 6 - Affinity - Create a Tiled Paper. Interesting pattern. Finally have PSP 2022 loaded on my computer. Will go back through the PSP lessons after I finish Affinity. So far I do like Affinity. The more I do the more I learn. Enjoying the lessons. The photo is my dog, Silver, who loves to put his paws in a bowl of ice to cool down. 7

I used a photograph of the Cathedral Cliffs up in North Canterbury. I used to go up this way often when I lived further north, in Canterbury; the cliffs are near Hanmer Springs, and the hot pools in that town are fabulous. Again, using Wendy Medium and Arial fonts, I created the background with a topographical map of the area and gave it a warm retro effect using a freebie script from Corel. Day 4 Affinity I have a few brushes downloaded from various places, the Affinity Forum, and more. This one was from the Affinity Forum, by StuartRc. I love this brush and found it fun to work with. To get the opacity right at the edges, I took the spacing right down, then upped it to about 80% for the inside of the brush effect. I used Billie Irene's March 2022 Digital Scrapbook Blog Train paper 01. The font is, again, Gonestone Signature and Arial. Great brush work! They are so much fun to work with and can change the effect in a few strokes. 3 1

What a lovely moment! @Cristina There is an amazing bond between Daniel and Max. Daniel has Autism (borderline), and loves any wildlife including dogs and cats. 1
