@Ann Seeber That train looks quite similar to the Ocean, which runs between Halifax and Montreal. I took that train many times in my early years in New Brunswick. That dome car is great and I once sat there during a thunderstorm. It was spectacular!

@Jacques Hi. Did you try to post something that didn't display?

Project 2: The Angel of the North is a sculpture by Antony Gormley, located in Gateshead, Tyne and Wear, England. It is near the main road north to Scotland so is seen by millions each year. You can also visit the statue which I have done many times. I am in awe of its size - it stands 20 metres (66 ft) tall with a wingspan of 54 metres (177 ft).

The photo is one of mine. The papers are from Rachel Martin’s ‘Felicity: Ombres Kit’. The font is Angelface.

Project 2

I used blend modes on the photo.  I thought it looked kind of neat, like comic book art, the colours are all opposites of what they are.  I used Nellie Bells kit, it had nice paper in it.  The font is Behumble from CF.  the photo is mine from some of the tools we download in one of the recent BTC (Breakthrough Color) courses, that we print and assemble.  This is more a play kind of course and different than the 6 courses I originally took.  There is shadows on everything, it's not going to show up well on the dark and at this compression.  I'll put it on FB later today.  Must go "adult" now (read: do  housework).

I haven't seen this statue for real, but it has been mentioned and shown a couple of times in the "Antiques Roadshow" on the BBC  where copies of this statue were brought in. I have been watching the show for many years and besides being good tv it has taught me much about all kind of antiques.

Project 1

I used the Behold Autumn bundle that I had.  the layouts I just scrolled through are really awesome and inspiring.  I'm onto looking for some photo's for Project too and now I get to get a tea and watch my favorite TV show of the moment (Bootcamp TV! 😁  starring Carole....and that's all!).  Photo is mine as usual.  Probably will be much darker than it really is.  It's supposed to be as if lit by the moonlight.

A very original layout, you come up with the most unusual ideas and they work well!

I watch it for the history they bring into the objects! Always learning new stuff from that program.

@Bee Kelly Great layout. I am glad you found us to learn about PSP too!

@Susan Ewart I just imagine myself with a TV show! How fun would it be? Anyone has any connections I can reach out 😂

@Sharla I had never heard of those sculptures. Oh the things we learn and discover through everyone else's projects!

@Jacques I am glad you managed a little project "between two brush strokes". Will you show us your painting when it is done?

Keep them coming. Project 3 will be sent out tomorrow!

Day 5 - Photos from my grandson. The background is from our paper class; the grey paper is from one of my photos of granite and the brown is a PSE layer style, cracks. Unfortunately, the PSE style looks like a cookie, but it should symbolize the cracks in the desert floor. The font is a layered font from CF called Rainbow. Since I saved the original as a vector, I was able to change the layers to match the colors of the page. I used Carole's scattered elements script for the bones(and did not distort them this time😊). I downloaded the daisies from Adobe Express. I used shasta daisies since they grow in the desert and can designate sympathy.

Project 3  The papers are from my stash. The photos are mine. The swirl is from a dingbat. The colorful clipart was  daily freebee from Creative Fabrica. The paper around the photos is from "Gold-Foil-Digital-Paper-696692" (blurred a bit)

@Bee Kelly If you need inspiration for a project about yourself, you can check out the various prompts and threads in the Challenges section for the All About Me challenges.

@Jacques That is a great painting. I can barely draw a stick figure so you would not see me paint anything! What do you have of mine?

@Donna Sillia You might want to add a much larger and blurred shadow to the daisies so it would look like they are 3D,, making sure there is no shadow showing on the top left, where the light should come from.

@Anne Lamp Great page. I think you might have forgotten the shadows on this project.

My "paintings" start from a photo and I use the "Corel Painter" program (and not physical brushes, oil, canvas, etc.). The tool offers several digital "brushes" of different shapes. One of the styles I prefer is that of Van Gogh. As for this photo of my grandson:

Day 5
This page, we are still on Lake Wakatipu and heading for Walter Peak High Country Farm.
I took this photo when the steamer was heading back to the farm from Queenstown, across the lake.
I have used Jessica Dunn's Classy kit and mini-kit. The blue paper is colourised from a soft grey.

I have also sent a help request to let you know my PC isn't working and gave me grief for this lesson. and hung up.  I did do a screen shot of where I was at and how I couldn't work with Shadowing.  Well I can't send the screen shot as I just saw.  I'll be back after I resolve my PC issue.  Thanks for these lessons.

Day 6 I really do love glitter!  Matthew's brother sent me the picture of Matt with the rifle, and I was reluctant to use it because of my aversion to guns. However, it fit so well with Art Deco which was my first kit. I used a photo of Chooch that has him behind a speakeasy bar with a 20's style cap on his head. The bar and cap are from Adobe Express. The flowers were made in FF. The papers are from my first build a kit. The heart is a brush. The font is Edith from CF.

It is so nice when the migratory birds are coming back. Over here the "scholeksters" or oystercatchers are slowly turning up. I haven't seen one yet but I have heard one calling. They have a very distinct call and start calling their partner as soon as they arrive. Nice layout!
