Mary Solaas Posted February 20 Posted February 20 (edited) I did look it up and the Help folder said to look up in file location preferences under "File". It said that temporary files are located on the C drive under your user name folder, in App Data\Local\Temp\Corel Paint Shop Pro 2022 Temp Files. The files that I had been working on last night were there (though unrecognizable names) as .tmp files. When I tried to bring them up in 2022, they wouldn't open as the file name (.tmp) was unrecognized. So much for finding closed un-saved files! Edited February 20 by Mary Solaas 1 2

Expand I have had to use the Auto-Preserve file in the past. It was several steps back in the save process so i only had to recreate a few steps. But I did have one file very early on that I wasn't able to save and it became a jpg. I never did recreate it. It was before I knew about the compatibility, which I had wrong and I was forced to save a jpg since I didn't know to just change the compatibility. 1

There's a lot I have to learn! As I said before, I like many things in PSE and Affinity, and I like others best in PSP. We can still work with PSP, and it’s a very good program, but the downside is that it has not been developed since 2022, which is already a long time for such a program. I agree with you. It’s a shame the new owner let the entire development team go and is only interested in selling the app. 2
Julie Magerka Posted February 20 Posted February 20 (edited) I've only been dabbling in this and that; trying one layout after another and pleased with almost nothing. I think I have a case of February blahs 😒 I also realized I have too many files accumulated over the last several years. It takes so long to find papers or any other elements I want to use. All the searching distracts me from the actual layout. I thought my file organization was pretty good, but not so sure now. I did this one with a Nat Geo image that was in my inbox. Apparently bees will seek shelter in flowers when it rains and curl up for a snooze! Most of the elements come from a Vicki Robinson kit I got on sale (called Express Yourself- Hope). Fonts are Reisling and Southera. Edited February 20 by Julie Magerka 6
