  1. Me, too, Michele. 🤤 We're all so very proud of her! 😍
  2. Here is my Nashville Zoo Calendar, Lesson 1 & 2 for January and February. I used background papers from my stash.
  3. Here is a preliminary version of my January calendar for 2025. I decided to use the Nashville Zoo theme as my granddaughter, Jackie, is now a zookeeper there. She started work in September and she and her husband moved to Nashville, Tennessee. This is her first "real" zoo and she's thrilled! Her previous experience was at Claws n Paws Animal Park in Pennsylvania which can't do the breeding and official zoo activities that they do at this very large facility in Nashville. She has started in the Carnivore House and will rotate through the various habitats until she has experience in all of them. She has sent me lots of photos and some I gleaned from the zoo's website. The font for the month/year title is Aviation Cocktail. I added the days of the week. I had a .png for it I had used in the past for my Botswana wildlife and Downton Abbey calendar workshops. @Cassel these new templates are awesome!
  4. ??? 😇
  5. Wow, that's gorgeous, Michele! Great job!! That edge punch is particularly effective. I don't know about you, but I always pull out all the stops when I create something for someone else. They are usually my best work.
  6. Actually, the error occurs on both sides. Just one instance where the name is spelled without an "N."
  7. That is the Skytop Tower [click link for more info] which is a fire tower beacon in the Mohonk Mountain Reserve, and it can be seen for miles in each direction. After climbing all 100 stone steps to the open-air platform at the top, visitors are able to see six states on a clear day: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts.
  8. Here's my Week Forty One for Sunday Oct 20 - My two daughters and I did a day trip to Mohonk Mountain House resort in Ulster County on Wed Oct 16. It is a huge hotel and recreation complex constructed in the early 1900s by the Smileys, a Quaker family from Maine. There were originally 2 beautiful quarries, Mohonk and Minnewaska, which they owned and they eventually added 17,000 acres to preserve the land in perpetuity. The family still operates Mohonk as a resort though the two hotels on Minnewaska burned down. This is probably one of the most famous areas to be photographed in Ulster County, NY. You can see the hotel in the distance on the left. My daughter, Debbie, took this photo when they were hiking.
  9. Actually, just the opposite, as I find picture tubes awkward to locate. They don't line up like computer files for me.
  10. I have several that I have created over the years but, like Michele, I forget to use one half the time. I keep them in a folder with my Supplies/Word Art. Here's a more elaborate one I made to use with a movie theme layout and one where I used cassel's datestamp script.
  11. Welcome to The Campus, Mike. I'm always eager to see how other people take photos and display their work.
  12. Wow, clever and beautiful, Corrie. I wish it was MY birthday!! 😉
  13. These are just stock photos, but they do showcase The Dress. My mother complained that I would never wear a dress. (I was usually outfitted in a cowboy outfit.) Then I saw the movie "Meet Me in St. Louis" and Margaret O'Brien, who was a huge child star at the time (she actually won an Oscar for this) wearing what I deemed a beautiful dress. Well, my mother immediately jumped on the idea and voila, I had the dress. The template is from Lab 14-04, the title is Corlita Sans, the heart is from Melo Vrighof and the washi tape is from Jessica Dunn.
  14. This shot was on the news showing the aurora over the Tappan Zee Bridge (now Mario Cuomo Bridge) over the Hudson River here in the Mid-Hudson Valley.
  15. There is now a lawsuit pending charging one of the tech companies with luring children in with addictive content. I think this is a wake up call. In my youth, everyone smoked cigarettes. It was normal behavior. Little did we know they were manipulated to be more addictive than heroin. A cautionary tale...
  16. can you explain what those numbers mean?
  17. and me! 😉
  18. I sent these toy trucks to Raja for his first birthday on August 31. After several lost package episodes, they finally arrived and he's having a ball. They haven't sent me any photos yet but here's a shot from Amazon of the trucks.
  19. Oh, I really enjoyed that movie, too. A real "feel-good" experience.
  20. O = Oahu, Hawaii, USA
  21. I do like calendars and look forward to something new for 2025. We had a workshop in November of 2023 when I created a 2024 series for the wildlife of Botswana. I've also been re-using those templates for my 2024 Wild Cat Calendar that I do every month. The first calendar I created here on the Campus featured the TV show, Downton Abbey for 2023, intended for my granddaughter Anna for Christmas that year and I recall one of my classmates here did one for the show Outlander. I'll be looking for a new theme for this calendar workshop.
  22. On the left under each post is the word "Quote" - click on that and you'll have the format to type a response. No need to highlight anything unless it is vital to understanding your comment. HTH
  23. I did another one. I've been collecting fog photos and just recently got a river fog mini kit from Jessica Dunn. I used Segoe Script and Learning Curve fonts. The stars are glitter, colorized.
  24. Sorry, not sorry... 😉
  25. I can't take credit for it. It came that way.
