Ann - do the animals seem well cared for? We had a similar zoo in Huntsville that was mercifully shut down. I'm only 1 1/2 hours from there so I'll put that on my list of potential day trips.
Gerry, yes. They looked healthy and content. The welfare of wild species in captivity is one of my passions, especially wild cats and my zookeeper granddaughter is following in my footsteps.

Like our Safari in Tennessee - the animals want to come in and enjoy the eats you have in the car. We had to keep our windows rolled up and they licked the windows!! - love how you did your layout. Look at that ostrich !!
That's about how the ostrich at the safari looked!

QP-7 - Our drive-thru safari. This layout was good for all the animals that were around and almost inside our car! The font is Brush Script and the ostrich head came from PNGALL. I scanned a flyer from The Preserve for the details and map on top. I will also post this in Facebook and in the comments post the little, very funny video that Jackie did from the front seat to the back and you'll see what I mean about the animals almost "in" the car. ?

QP-6 EXTRA - FEEDING GIRAFFES. My visiting daughter, Debbie and her sister, Laurey, plus Laurey's daugher, Jackie, the zookeeper, went on a drive-through safari on Friday. It was at Animal Adventures, The Preserve, near Binghamton, NY. The font is Corlita Serif. The photo was taken by Laurey on her Galaxy mobile. (It takes superior photos!)

Getting started on catching up. I've been traveling around with family since Thursday so I'm WAY behind! This is QP- 5 - featuring new gg Jonah James on the day he came home from the hospital. The font is Viner Hand for the title. The label on the right was from Carole before she released her new script.

What's a kiln??♂️
A kiln is a thermally insulated chamber, a type of oven, that produces temperatures sufficient to complete some process, such as hardening, drying, or chemical changes. Kilns have been used for millennia to turn objects made from clay into pottery, tiles and bricks. Wikipedia

I wanted to have a go at this. I decided to go with the flow and use purple! Images all from online and only papers I made with some torn edges. Font is Bombshell Pro.
I'm not that big a Coco Chanel fan, but I do adore some of the fragrances and have a few in my collection. I just couldn't think of another subject for the layout.
Very well done! Next, Chanel's ad agency will come calling for your talents!

I was not intending to make this one but I was practicing making TEXTURES.
So I was looking into my stuff for a suitable application, and I bumped into this one.
Someone had placed it here and I downloaded it.
It was very terrible working. When I selected one section all were selected.
Advanced this came out of all my creative possibilities.
YOU DON'T HAVE TO LIKE IT ?
As I don't have a FB account I can't download from that source.
Jannette, as a solution for your background texture problem, I think I'd make separate layers for each section. Then I could fill a selected area with whatever and it would be confined to that layer. Allover, this looks very interesting.

What font did you use, Ann? It's funky(?), but a bit hard to read too??
The font is Viner Hand but I treated the raster version to the sculpture effect with a gold pattern.

That is strange. I checked and the file should be a tiny size. Try this.
Now it is the correct Facebook header. Thanks!

I have replaced the zip file with the correct one. I guess you can still use that for a collage! ?
Tried twice, re-booted the page but still getting the collage.....

This will be a distracted week for me, what with the arrival of Jonah and to top that, my eldest daughter Debbie has arrived from Mendocino, CA, on one of her semi-yearly visits. She went from Newark Airport to New York City last night, to visit old college chums and tour some new art exhibits, namely drawings by Georgia O"Keefe and a new Andy Warhol exhibition. Deb is the grandmother of little Magic and mother of my granddaughter Anna and grandson Will. She is an AIA Architect and the driving force behind of several art galleries in coastal Mendocino. We will get together on Friday with daughter Laurey and granddaughter, Jackie, for a trip upstate to the The Wild Animal Park in Chittenango, NY, which is near Binghamton. We will do their Safari which will cut down on all the walking usually involved with visiting zoos. Then, Saturday is little great-grand Sonya's 3rd birthday and there's a bash planned at the local firehouse in Pine Island, NY, after which I will go out to dinner with Deb and one of her old high school mates in Warwick, NY. Hopefully, I will have Sunday to rest! Whew! Meanwhile, Deb will travel to her step-mother's at the Jersey Shore and from there back to Newark Airport on Tuesday. I call her my "whirlwind." Deb will be 63 this year... ?

I have no idea what is happening to my posts. This is the THIRD time I am posting the same thing! Sorry for the delay. I hope it will work this time!
Wow, Carole, something must be up with the platform. Every time you send out a new lesson, I get double emails! ?

QP-2 - Part 1 - Deep sea fishing off Acapulco. Since that was the only place we went for vacations (we loved being pampered by the "beach boys" ?) we had to try all the activities there. We went deep sea fishing and hubby, Fran, and I, each had a rod and a chair. I reeled in my fish but he had trouble. So I had to reel in his, also! This was sort of ridiculous as I weighed about 110 and he was topping 300. Whew!

This time I did all 3 layouts for QP-1. First is a new bird at my feeder, well, actually, a regular but in a new color morph. Never saw an orange-headed house finch before but Merlin confirmed my sighting. This is the Merlin photo. The alpha is Fiesta from Annie Tobin-R.I.P. The text font is Ink Free. Second is the flip flop banner, featuring my daughter's flip flop birthday cake from last September when she turned 60. I used a gimp picture tube for the top border. Last is my granddaughter-in-law, Lucy, mother of Magic. I thought the black and white photo went well in the busy layout. I enlarged the photo area with my eraser tool.

Yes, there are two classes:

https://scrapbookcampus.com/master-classes/using-filter-forge-with-psp-2/
I don't think there is a free version unless you got a deal from GOTD.
Thanks, Cassel. I'm pretty sure I got your 60%off discount in FF10 so the price was under $25. I'll study these two classes and hopefully, in the future, there will be a week-long workshop so I can hone my skills. ?

I received a surprise gift in the mail from one of the big aquarium supply houses that I buy from. This is a hand-painted portrait on canvas of my first Betta, Sampson. He's called a Veiltail which was the prevailing style of Betta in the early stages of the hobby. I photographed it to show it to others and now decided to frame it using the Painted Frame 1 script that I just bought. The background paper is from my Beach Life kit by Tracey B Creations.

Yes, I suppose that would work but unsure how to link to something that was posted on Facebook to begin with. That's why I shared Jackie's post to our FB group.
