  2. this is beautiful Julie. It's a style I love, but can't replicate. So keep posting so I can see what love! I go through the "love-it, hate-it" with everything I create. I find I need to warm up creatively before anything I like happens. Sometimes that period can day hours to days. It doesnt come easy to me, and at some point we just have to let go and put it out into the world.
  3. That's how I understood it. I'm happy you both did something different so I can see the possibilities. Either way, both layouts are as beautiful as you both always do.

  5. Thank you Julie. Her stuff is awesome. I have the email saved and will download the goodies tomorrow when my main computer is finished it's back up. I'm looking forward to watching the videos. I see she is associated with OSCRAPS. I love their site, amazing stuff. I have this huge "winter" indoor list of stuff I want to do when it's cold outside and am stuck inside. I'll need winter to last for 4 yrs if I want to get to everything I want to do. I keep saying, "I'll get to the that when winter comes...and I have more time", then I laugh, knowing I wont have any more time than I do now.
  6. Love the interlocking circles. That was way beyond me when i first did the Basic Scrap Course. they look great. the ones that are more on an angle, did you squish them or did you make them as ovals so they would look like that? Nice shadow on the balloons!
  7. Thanks for the close up. I was looking and looking for Rambo.
  8. I love your layouts Daniel. I also title the vector layer with the font name, it's faster than clicking on the object in the layer because my Text tool takes forever to activate. This way I just look at the layer. Good idea to put the font size.
  9. Fabulous Mary! What a happy layout and great Olaf you have created.
  10. This is so pretty and delicate. Your backgrounds are so fabulous. You are very good at the blended background. I will have to try the outer bevel. I havent used it before.
  11. We make the best with what we have. I too have a very cheap set up for my studio and I make the best of it. Some shots I'd like to do i cant because I dont have enough power (in the constant lights). One day maybe...
  12. That is a really cool effect Kasany. It gives it an old world feel to it.
  13. I can feel the warm sun in this photo.
  14. I wonder if they can leave them on the vine and make ice wine?
  15. Ah yes, the "flux capacitor", need to pick one for my DeLorean.
  16. We've been having unusually warm weather this fall. It should be down to zero at nights now, but its still 10 degrees (Celsius) and it's supposed to be 25-30 Celsius during the days this week and into October. There is usually snow on the ground in October. I was reading in a local paper that the almanac said Alberta was in for a "deep" freeze this winter. As far as I'm concerned, any time water freezes...it's a "deep" freeze. I hope the almanac is wrong. Summer started slow with lots of rain. I keep thinking Alberta and BC are switching weather patterns with each other because where I lived in BC it mostly rained and now they are getting 30 degree days (at the coast) which is very unusual. They were really hot this year while we had the rain. Alberta is known for cold winters and hot hot summers, but of course Alberta is also known for quite unpredictable weather and severe temperature changes in one day.
  17. I love the look of this.
  18. Awesome! It's so beautiful.
  19. I had not heard of Katie Pertiet before. Her stuff is gorgeous! thanks for the mention Julie and Cristina
  20. That's really beautiful Julie. I too, love old barns.
  21. Happy Birthday Bonnie! Missed you in campus. Looks like a great day for you.
  22. Great layout! And you can see the broken paperclip. I bought the script but will be awhile before I get to try it out. Great ideas here Corrie, I never thought to use it on something other than text.
  23. WOW! and WOW! I love this. It blows my mind all the different ways you come up with.
  24. Thank you so much Corrie. That makes me feel good after a not-so-good day at work.
  25. Is that moldy bread? Awesome!
