  1. Of course! I both of those too. Now I'm hungry and just heading to work. I might have to swing by the grocery store to get some nacho makes ingredients on the way home.
  2. Wow Cristina you are on a roll (or would that be a circle? 😄). These are fabulous and I absolutely love the pepper, so creative. Neat to see what other programs strengths are. I have been lucky with reverse text in PSP, in that it works for me, still need the instructions sometimes though. Have you had a chance to do some layouts in one program and then took it into another program to use an effect (assuming you'd have to convert to psd first) because it's easier or it's an effect the one program doesn't have? I wonder how hard or easy it is, or is it a hassle? You are trilingual in 3 (or more?) programs, that's so impressive.
  3. Me too, turns out I found her when I was looking for PSE scrapbooking.
  4. These are all very beautiful Anja. I really love the Owl and the Dark Days one.
  5. yes it is where I live. I am in Alberta -25 to -30 for about a week now. One day I will get to Quebec, I'd love to see Quebec city(the old part) and Montreal. I have friends in Laval and in Montreal.
  6. I'm in. I'm not sure what I will do. I did cameras the last time so I'm going to have to think something up pretty quick.
  7. That's great Mary! We are fellow Canon users. C is also for Canon. Glad to see someone used a camera. I thought for sure we'd have a number of cameras.
  8. I love "A kiss for nanny".
  9. The results of you taking time to think about the set up/lighting resulted in really beautiful photos that are elevated above everyday casual photography. It's a nice feeling when you take time and get a good shot and think, hey, I really like what I just did.
  10. Thank you Corrie. I really love learning about color.
  11. I am horrible at math. I've just read some books. And I guess a lot about the angles and you'd laugh at me rubber-necking to see where the best spot is to shoot from. The set up is so much longer than the actual taking of the photos. But I do enjoy trying to achieve what I want (more often I am unsuccessful, but learning how not to do it also teaches me something).
  12. You husband should have taken a picture of you...you could have used it for the letter P = Photographer. My equipment is pretty cheap and makeshift. Dont be envisioning this high tech studio cause it's just a in a tiny room ( a bedroom with no bed) in the house and some constant lights we won at a auction. I used to use desk lamps with scrims made out of foam frame with white parachute type fabric for the light to shine through. I dont have a lot of money to spend on this so I had to learn to make do with what I have. I was so excited when I bought lights that you'd have in chicken coops, they have silver dish around them and I put the material over that. I mean it was really a makeshift set up. I have a little better stuff now, but not flashes or strobes that I really would love to have. It's on the wish list.
  13. I think this too. I worked at two companies that got bought out and they were closed a very short time afterward. In one company I worked at, Fuji (Film) bought the company because kodak wanted to buy it and they didnt want their competitor to buy it. Then Fuji sold it to a holding company, who's business was to buy and sell companies. It didn't last much longer after that. I think if kodak was able to take it on, they'd still be around.
  14. I agree with what you say about Adobe. I am lucky and it's weird that a few weeks earlier it was all sold out everywhere. I do still have PSE10 & 12, but I thought it would be too old to use. I was originally going to donate it to goodwill, maybe I'll keep the 12 Edition in case I want to use it one day. I fear the day when our programs require us to go online to use them.
  15. Yikes, we are all collecting programs like we collect fonts. ...we are big trouble. I wish I was a cat, then I'd surely use up all 9 lives and still not have learned everything I want to learn in these programs.
  16. You got married on my 4th birthday! 55 yrs is amazing!
  17. That is terrible customer service! Such a large company can certainly reset your activation and at least "appear" to their customers back; Corel did that for me twice! (before Alludo). I received the same from CF this year, it will be my last year with them. It's nice to learn from you and Donna that I can use actions too (mostly).
  18. I had to laugh at this. I too was going to stick with PSP only, then I wanted AFF because everyone was getting it. I didnt want to be left out. hahaha. I'm a certified lemming! Then I thought I'd get PSE cause it's the "last" stand alone and when I couldnt get it, I wanted it more! I was even willing to get a Mac version since I brought home (from the recycle bin at work) what I thought was a Mac Wifi box that I could take out the computer board to take pictures of. It turned out to be a Mac mini (albeit from 2014), so I thought I could use that for PSE if I had to get a Mac version. The real surprise. Warts and all, I found out I truly LOVE PSP and and just how it looks and how it works and especially how the canvas behaves on the workspace. And I live in hope that one day it will be resurrected.
  19. Ah, heck I cant keep a secret, here's the other side and opposite of White is....
  20. Colour or Color! These cubes started out as playing cards. it's part of a print run that I bought last year in my color group. the big beast is 4 cubes (not the same as the ones around it) to make a ginormous cube. This cube represents the 3 dimensions of color and how color moves from one to another, or what color (or Hue is like) to come out of the mix and what has to come into the mix to go from one Hue to the next. What's on the inside you ask...perhaps I will crack it open and in the future. this was a big scary build, I only had one set to work with so i had to get it right. took me 6 months to get up my nerve to do it. Each cube consists of 6 panels and on the big one I had to affix magnets on the inside so the the big cube can stick together. I have playing cards to match the 3 cubes on the left below( including what's on the inside). the 4th cube on the far right is a mini version of the big one, but you cant see inside that one. Only one corner is not seen in this photo. any guesses what's on that color. Hint: if you were to look at one corner and go diagonal through the middle of the cube to the corner on the bottom you'd find the opposite color. 3 opposites with the corners exposed there is only one left and it's opposite of the corner pointing right at you.
  21. How cool to come home and find a surprise Christmas present. That's a really interesting clock face...we should try that in campus.
  22. What a cool coffee maker! Very stylish and of course the 'C' cup is perfect.
  23. I don't cross-stitch but I really love it. My sister in law and niece make the most beautiful pieces. This will be a great feature wall when you are done. You'll be busy visiting a lot more states too. I have fond memories doing latch hook rugs with my mom.
  24. Oh, this is so neat Ann. I almost did Cats...in a box, but changed it. I'm glad to see at least one cat here.
