  1. My flower beds were almost overtaken by bluebells this year, and for the first time in the 20 odd years we've lived here, I saw a bumblebee in the bluebells. I tried to follow her around and snap some pictures with my iPhone. The first font is KidZone from CF. I filled it with a pattern that I made with cass seamless pattern script and a hologram gradient. The second font was downloaded from here. The cartoon bees are from a bee dingbat font from CF. The scalloped ribbon is from a paper from my kit and scalloped with cass quick scallop script.

  2. Many of the native sparrow species have already arrived. Much to my delight the White -crowned Sparrows turned up yesterday. I was pleased to welcome them back. A perfect opportunity to create a banner after watching the live masterclass on Sunday. The sparrows of the open field will stay, those like the White crowned will move on further north. I used a gradient which I created for the pennants using colours from the photo, and the light coloured wood frame

  4. Over the years I have had many cars, but one car meant a lot to me. It was a Renault Scenic which I purchased from a close friend who had just been diagnosed from Cancer. It was more money than we would normally spend on a car, £6000 at the time, but for me it was the perfect car, it was not as old as the cars I was used to driving as my husband always buys 2nd hand cars, and this one was not that old, it was in perfect condition, it was spacious, with a large "boot" area, for shopping and transporting larger items, it had lots of "hidden" compartments to put things, also 2 sunroofs, one over the front seats and one over the back seats. I found it easy to drive, I loved driving it, it was the best car I had ever owned and driven, plus it had sentimental value as my close friend died within a couple of months of the day I bought his car. (I still miss him, he was a great friend). Most cars we had prior to that were shared between my husband and myself, and this was the first car that was my own car. I had the car for a number of years, until it came to the point when it started to have problems, i thought the problems could be fixed, but sadly it was the end of the road for my beloved car, 😞 I was gutted, as I was so attached to this car, which had never happened to me before. I wish I still had this car or that I could get another one just like that. The image was one of two images I could find (2012), the other one was when it was covered in snow, so the car was not recognisable.

  5. Here is my font challege page. I was in a scallops frfame of mind when I was creating this page. Earlier this week, we had sleet, and a lot of rain, the following day Mother nature's smallest and oldest living organisms exploded into an aray of colour out in the trees. Ok, I had to down on my hands and knees to view the show, but none the less it was spectacular.

  6. I started playing with this font and a freebee from C F that was I think a coloring book page. (https://www.creativefabrica.com/product/funny-bird-chilling-in-the-pool-coloring/) I had fun with it but it did take a while because I was just playing and kept changing things.

  7. Whenever you create a project, you will likely want to use some text. In this case, you might be looking for some interesting fonts to showcase titles or dates. This month, I am suggesting a font that indicates some thickness. Although it might look like a layered font, it is not, but you can easily "paint" the sides/center in different colors for a special effect. You can get this free font HERE.

  9. Cars have always resonated with me. As a teen, I was right there with the guys salivating over the hot cars tooling down Main St. Eventually, I worked enough to get my very own car and lucked out with a used 1967 Chevy Camaro in cream puff condition. I still miss that car!

  10. I normally keep my vehicles for at least 6 or 7 years. The first vehicle that I drove was actually owned by my mom since I was only 16 when I started driving it. It lasted me through college when I bought my first car after graduation. It was a used car that was 8 years old when Mom got it but it served me well. I did have one vehicle 13 years, which was the only vehicle that I bought that wasn't new. I sold it to my neighbor for his son. It got the son through college and his first few years of working. When the son got a new car, my neighbor decided to let his wife's granddaughter that had just turned 16 drive it. Sadly, she only got to drive it a few months since she was in an accident and the vehicle had to be totaled. That Blazer had a good run of over 20 years! I really loved that vehicle. It had so much room in the back for all my stuff when I went to scrapbooking retreats! In fact, I did a layout of all my vehicles in 2021. A couple months later I ordered a new car that finally got here in March 2022! I hope to keep this one for many years. Here is the layout. I used a retired template from Scrapping With Liz and the kit "License To Drive" by Kristin Aagard available at The Lily Pad.

  11. I had a couple of new bird sightings according to my Merlin app so I used the photos for a layout based on a template by Marisa Larin. It seems to use the "table" concept that Carole mentioned since I rotated the entire template 90 degrees. It was a treat to see this bright yellow warbler!
