It has been a week of snow, blowing snow and white outs. Image taken out back in the trees. To me, I see, An eerie stillness, even with blowing snow, in the woods, in the depth of winter. A typical March day.
I did week 9 in the February thread, because most of that week was still in Feb.
This is my week 10 and it features the "Grote Kerk" (Big Church) in Breda. Breda is a big city and about 12 km from where we live, but we don't go there often. This week however we wanted to go to a specific store that we don't have in our village and the weather was nice for a change. The church on the photo is undergoing restoration at the moment and is partially in scaffolding, but seen from this angle the tower looks great. Where ever you are in the city center and beyond you will see this tower; it really is a landmark.
I like all your creations, Bina. I will hop on a flight to Europe right away! I particularly liked the mixed media on the Barcelona page. The culinary is very readable, even with small type. Ah, someday, Paris! ❤️
Fabulous pages @Ann Seber. TFS!!! 💕
I have a sort of culinary book going at the moment, Graphics myself, fonts Pacifico and Lato. see here https://imgur.com/a/xL7mbzw
The second one is from a daily project with papers I made for a designer challenge at DS, the 3rd one is from an album on the Paris arrondissements (here the 4th), and the last one is from my recent trip to Barcelona..
I had a little free time this evening and made something for this challenge, a very nice one too. At the moment a lot of the early bulbs are in flower and the photo I used was taken yesterday on a sunny day. I know I have often lamented about the rain we were getting, but now we have sunny days as well! The cluster with tulips I had made for another layout but it fits here too and the daffodils came from ????? Font is Austin. Enjoy my colorful spring!
I came across this collage template from Corel this morning. I recall it being offered in the past but this time I snagged it to showcase this rainbow waterfall photo from my Hudson Valley in Pictures gallery group by Bruce Edwards from last week. Photo taken off-trail in Woodstock, NY. I played with the layout by centering the original photo to show through the four center openings and then clipping pieces off the leftover photo parts to fill the four corner spots. Definitely "rainbow-ish." I also posted this in the February Rainbow Challenge.
I have done the bootcamp before and was wanting to do it again and every time there was something preventing me from doing so. I'm not doing the Build A Kit workshop because I haven't time enough. In April I'm going to California for a visit to my daughter and the grandkids and that takes a lot of time in preparations, but the bootcamp will fit in. It isn't that time consuming and I like to have a smaller project besides all the prep stuff.
I LOVE bootcamp! I have been attending for 3 years and it is offered several times a year. The layouts demonstrated are classic with a clean look which is just what I like. Some of my best scrapbook pages have been done in bootcamp and I look forward to more. One of the best parts is meeting new people and hopefully, being a little helpful if they need it. I find I learn things better when explaining them to others.
Happy March! I feel we're now one step closer to Spring! 🌷 Here is my Wild Cat Calendar for March featuring The Mountain Lion, aka Cougar or Puma. I got the animal details from activecat.com. I will put a full-sized version on Facebook for printing as an 8.5"x11" decoration for our refrigerator doors. 😉
