  1. I was playing with the Shadow box Master class. And I had this color wheel in mind (although I don't actually subscribe to the "color wheel" model?). As it turns out, those little circle layers are too small to be effective at showing the depth. it was a good learning experience, and I've included a larger version so you can get the idea of the depth. It's good for big layouts. I look forward to trying the ones from the masterclass.

  2. Because my Outlander project was a bit of a story, I added all projects in Canva and made a video of it. (It has white edges, but don't know how to change that) An Outlander story by Monique Edit: I found a template with squares ?, but now it's a slideshow ?

  3. I I used what I learned in the shadow box master class and created this using (Fairy-Moon-Shadow-Box-47020851) from Creativefabrica and the shamrock in her hand was created from (Layer-st-Patricks-day-leaf-25320553). Now my Irish ancestors can either say well done or turn over in their graves.

  5. Chuck Calio posted this on March 3 on our public Hudson Valley in pictures gallery on Facebook. I'm trying to showcase it in the demo Carole gave us for the Offset Cutout.

  6. I created this rainbow panorama from three photos I took of it several years ago in Maui Hawaii. I finally decided to do this with it.

  7. Happy March! Here is my monthly Big Cat Calendar featuring a Bengal Tiger playing in the water (as they do, frequently!) I put a full-sized jpg in the Files section on our Facebook group. It would print at 8.5" x 14" I wasn't happy with the paw prints so here's an edited version.

  8. Nice layout. And a cool theme to do, "Foto Focus", I can imagine this is a magazine. "This months Foto Focus" featuring (insert featured photographer). Great idea.

  9. Thank you for the tips. I was wondering how to make the layers look farther apart. I did work on 4000 x4000 image for the 12 "spokes" of the wheel. Is doubling the shadow just doing Control-Y? I never thought of gaussian blur. I'm going to try that. I had envisioned it looking deep, but it didnt turn out that way. I tried white shadows but it looked weird and too much opacity in the shadow made the tints start to look like tones (adding grey). I was going to ask how to make it look really far apart, so I can try these ideas. I had an idea of of layout with random sized holes, some offset, some not and only a few layers but really far apart (looking) with only one color ring and the rest of the rings white. I guess I could have just said an abstract image. I'll gvie it a try.

  10. @Susan EwartIn the presentation, I used a 2000x2000 pixels image. If you used a larger image to start with, you might want to double the shadow and maybe add an extra Gaussian Blur.

  11. Thank you Ann. It was a mental challenge to figure out and keep it all straight in my head. there was a lot of layers. I probably did some of it the long way but I got some practice with using groups when I needed them. Even though you cant see the dimension in layout, I should do a layout for the Shades and Tones as well. Good practice.

  12. Hi Cindy, my daughter, daughter-in-law, and 3 grandchildren (all girls) went there quite some years ago - we did a Ya-Ya-Sister weekend. We did do the baths - the water feels good. I also went there with a friend of mine and we did not go in the pools that time, but we did do "crystal mining" and then went to the diamond mine to poke around in the offall from the mine. Diamonds have actually been found in the slag.

  13. In 2008 my basketball team traveled to Hot Springs, Arkansas for a tournament. It was over the St. Patrick's Day weekend. Hot Springs has all sorts of fountains which use water from the springs. It is supposed to have healing properties and other benefits. We drank a good bit of it...not sure that I noticed any benefit. Most of my basketball pages were created 10X 8 so they could be easily printed.

  14. It took me a few seconds to analyze that image as I initially "saw" the tiger fighting with another creature!! Wonderful photo.
