Julie Magerka Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 QP - Day 3. There are so many clever and creative QPs being showcased here. And fun to see! When I mentioned the white border on QP-2, I saw a white border on the image in the video for that QP, or at least I THINK I did. But now I notice that others don't show that either.
Ann Seeber Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 QP-Extra3 - Sunset Beach - it's the Hudson River, actually. I used the Paint to Target to change the color of the flower. Love that tool!
Corrie Kinkel Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 I wanted to do the QP,3 again and the photos are from "De Markthal" a market hall in Rotterdam. It's a very futuristic building and when first opened it attracted a lot of visitors; domestic and from abroad. QP-Extra.3 has a photo of a beach and on the signpost is the place-name. The saison and the year are added too. This was it for today; my time was really limited and then quickpages are great to do something very quickly!
Jean Naumann Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 I'm running a bit late. Here is my Day 2 pic. My grandchildren Bianca and Lachlan were pretty excited with this catch. It was Lach's first barra.
Jean Naumann Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 And here is Day 3. It's good to be back doing some scrapbooking. Always love these challenges, or workshops, it gets me working again.
Anita Wyatt Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Quick Page Workshop 3. Bella wanted to be the Star of today's project. Took me little while to find the right pictures, but Bella approved.
Anita Wyatt Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 QO-3 Workshop 3 Extra - Mooch and YaPurr are the Cool Cats at the Beach
Sharon Cope Carriere Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Finished Day 2 Photos a little behind schedule. Hope to get Day 3 done before Bed tonight. I am enjoying this Workshop.
Linda J Walker Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 I didn't have much time today either. So good thing these are quick!
Sharon Cope Carriere Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Day 3 finally complete. Takes more time trying to figure out which pictures I want to use than it does to complete the pages. But it has been fun.
Cassel Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Paul, beautiful flowers! I long for spring! Anne, without being an eclipse, I guess you were at the right place at the right time because that moon shot is spectacular. Ann, we can travel with you! That sunset is fantastic! Trish, interesting to see how you covered the cluster completely on the bottom left! Julie, maybe the white border was due to a photo being slightly too small? Some quick-pages do include a white border, while others not. Corrie, quick pages are made to not take too long (usually, it takes longer to pick the photo than to do the page). Jean, a fisherman's story... with the proof! Glad to hear that you enjoy those challenges/workshops! More to come! Anita, I have a soft spot for most pets, especially cats! Bonnie, have you considered adjusting the levels a little on your photo? They probably appear darker than they are on a light page. Sharon, isn't is fun to be able to "catch up" fast with these pages? Linda, they really are QUICK pages, right?
Susan Ewart Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Back at the pond, romance was in the air. I call this "Duck Math". White + Brown = Beige. This white male domestic duck returned to the pond every year as soon as the ladies came to town. The result was very pretty dilute beige ducks. He spent his days at the pond and flew off at the end of the day, I presume to the farm he lives at. These pages are quick for sure. The eraser tool trick is really cool. I did find some of the elements annoyingly in the way and the size of the frames often don't quite fit some parts of the photo that wish I could have included (I tried sizing all kinds of ways).
Euka Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Day 3 - I had reptiles but the flowers looked better!
MoniqueN. Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 I'm a bit behind with the pages, the reason was a happy one, our first grandchild was born last tuesday :) I wanted to see how the same picture would look like on differnet QP's. This is the result. :)
James Durrant Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 I am a bit late on getting started on the workshop but have had some time today to catch up. Here is my first Quick Page. A photo taken a number of years ago in Fowey , Cornwall, UK. Should I call this a 'Boat-Shed' or a 'Shed-Boat' ?
James Durrant Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 This is my QP-2 page. I adjusted the photo using a Curves adjustment to brighten up the bottom of the boats hull to show the planks.
MoniqueN. Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 And page 3. Nice they can be made so quick! :)
MoniqueN. Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Even quickpages with the same starting point all look so different. :) Well done everyone :)
Guest Guest Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 here are my results for February Quick-Page3
Ann Seeber Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 I re-did my QP3-Extra. I changed the color of the top paper, added the birds, added to the signage, changed the title on the ticket and added a beach chair. Everyone's outstanding work is inspiring me!
Susan Ewart Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 James, if you were serving your guests would you be a "water-waiter". I like "Shed-boat Pirkko, I love the swimming pig. I agree, all the pages are wildly different and so interesting. I like seeing the additions people make, good ideas.
Susan Ewart Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Oops forgot this Tensions at the pond. With well over 800 geese, not including the coots, grebes, ducks other waterfowl, space is at a premium. Once the landings are complete, family units jockey for their spots on the pond. This particular year there was a cheeky little grebe who would swim under water and poke the geese. It was like watching a comedy. Back later with my second QP for Day 4. On a funny note with the eraser tool. I thought it wasnt erasing, then I realized I was trying to erase the shadow from the frame on the page. thank you Carole, for the tip about right clicking the eraser to put back what I erased by mistake.
