Donna Sillia Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I love that background and the stamp is so cool. true Thank you, Susan. I am definitely saving that background as a psp image with the layers so that I can change the color. I don't remember where I got the stamp. 6
Donna Sillia Posted February 25 Posted February 25 I made a video of my project with Canva. I saw one of the projects had lighter characters, but it's ok for now. Hope the link works 🙂 https://www.canva.com/design/DAGgG4T-mdE/27k2y1y_zLonFxBIREohIw/edit I made double pages, so it actually looks like a magazine. 😉 true The book looks great, Monique. I love Canva and am planning on using it to make my flipbook. 6

Krystyna Nicholls Posted February 25 Posted February 25 (edited) Day 6 and I'm using PSP2020. Just playing with the photo to see what effect the masks have with it. Had to watch the video a few times to get the gist of this technique. Edited February 25 by Krystyna Nicholls 2 11

Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 The bit about the kids made me laugh out loud! Enjoy seeing your tour of Malmo. true Julie, I also laughed when I saw this sign in a shop window. 😄 4
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Cristina I have updated to 2.6 as well but had made day 5 just before and when I yesterday wanted to use that technique again I had the same problem as you! I haven't found why and will have to look into this some more. Please let us know if you find an explanation and I will do that too. true Corrie, I haven't found an explanation, and it might be a bug. I also noticed that in Affinity Photo 2.6, you are not asked to give the Group a name as in 2.57. 2
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I went and looked at this, I have updated to 2.6 also. I tried the process and noticed in 2.6 when I added the recolor layer, it automatically grouped the text and the recolor layer. Then when you add the mask, it is putting the mask layer above the group. You have to drag the mask down to the recolor layer for this to work. Give it a try and see if that works for you. true Hi Linda, thank you for the tip. 🙂 In my case, the Recolor Layer was not automatically grouped into the Text Layer. I had to do it manually, as Carole showed in the video. I don't know how you created the text, but I used the Text Frame Tool, not the Artistic Text Tool. I am not sure if this influences the outcome, as I have not tested this way. Here is a screenshot showing the two layers separated. 3
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 https://heyzine.com/flip-book/c95de2dd4b.html As promised, this is the link for my flipbook about Yosemite NP. Maybe I should have chosen another format, but it was all new to me, so I want to show it anyways. The link will work for 1 week, enjoy true It's great to see the result as a flipbook, Corrie. Great work! 3
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 It's not cheating Donna, it's delegating. true Good point, Susan! 😄 4

Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 https://online.flippingbook.com/view/232820144/ Flipbook prepared in Canva with flippingbook.com true Donna, seeing the whole "magazine" as a flipping book is so lovely. I love the blue paper too! 4
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 (edited) I am behind as I am also reorganizing things at home, separating household stuff, clothes, books, etc., to throw away or donate. It's incredible how we collect things over the years; some I haven't touched in ages. But I have finished a few more pages. For Day 5, I created another page, this time using the Text Effect that had previously failed to work. Edited February 26 by Cristina 1 10
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Day 6 is also a double page. I still have to start Day 7. 2 8
Cristina Posted February 26 Posted February 26 I didn't have time to comment on everyone's work, but I loved the variety of styles and themes. Through the pages, I went to so many places, shared sweet moments, and learned a lot. Thank you to everybody who decided to share their work! 3 2
Michele Posted February 26 Posted February 26 Donna, I get a swishing sound when each page is turned... true There's an on/off volume icon on the bottom. It's the sound of a page turning. 5
