"Slip it in" is another of the first things I learnt when I joined the Campus. The tutorial is an older one, but can be found in the creative scrap. I use this technique  often.

You have the best instincts, dont doubt yourself.  I'm always wondering how the heck you do what you do, it's awe inspiring.  I've learned a lot of new techniques from the book, that I never would have known about and knowing exactly where to find the tutorial is such a time (and stress) saver.

Week 52 

Background started out with a gradient, then I think I did the blinds, added noise, then line halftone horizontally.  I tried applying the blinds to the Vectors but it made it harder to read.  Played around with the opacity in the blinds settings and blend modes(outside the blinds setting), but still it seemed a bit harder to read, so I've left it the original red which seemed to fit the background well and did nothing to it in the end.  I used the Lifted Photo Script on the playing card.  

Two more to go and my deck is complete. What a ride it's been.  I've learned a lot and tried things I never would dreamed of.  What a pleasure to see into everyone's lives and enjoy their photography (and other photographers that were used - what a delight to see).  I find it amazing when I look in my "finished" folder and scroll through the weeks.  We've made quite a body of work.  The cool thing is we can hide the Vector layer and make them any kind of card we want.

Making it through 52 weeks is quite an achievement for anyone who managed it.

Whether you did or not, would there be interest in making another P52 for 2025 or would you rather have something different for that year?

Maybe you had enough of one year. Or maybe you are just starting to enjoy it and want more.

I’d love to do something else that lasts a year. I’d probably do the same challenge again but I’m not sure there’s enough interest in the idea. Perhaps it would need to be something different that might attract more people – wish I had some suggestions but, sorry, I haven’t. Maybe someone else will have some ideas.

I would be open to doing the same challenge for 2025 or to try something new but with the weekly format for the whole year. I'm open to suggestions...

I didn't do P52 but more of a P12. I did a monthly layout with several pictures of things that happened throughout the month. I found that more to my liking that the P52 (which were very nice) done here. I called it "Month In Review" and used a set of templates I've had for several years (I believe they are retried) from a designer at The Lily Pad. The month title is on each page and I just chose the number of photos to fit the photo spots. Will do December later this week so I can include a photo from Christmas. I used the kit I designed in the build-a-kit workshop, in November I even created a new flower since what I had wasn't working. Was nice to be able to do that.

I will probably continue in the same format except not using the same templates. I will create the title the same to have some consistency.

I'm not sure either.  I did this to myself by making a theme and having more work and then being so behind. It was hard when I was so behind and we had a workshop.  Having said that, I learned so much in doing P52 and it really made me stretch creatively to come up with something different (backgrounds).  I am proud of myself for getting to the end and that is motivating enough to perhaps try something again.  I'd like to be able to do different formats, like square and I have a photo project (hopefully) in the new year that I want to do square.  I like the idea monthly challenge too.  Wish I could give you an idea but I'm all out of the ability to think right now.

This was one of the papers I made in the paper workshop.  When i was looking at what font/color etc to do for the Vectors I kept thinking how nice this red looked.  I did add a shadow (hard to see) but it sure makes the outline and vector stand out even more.  And I am done.  yay!

I had a think and I wonder if more than one option would be a good idea. Perhaps we could start with 3 different year long challenges. Maybe something like:
1. Weekly. The P52 because it works great for people just wanting to showcase a photo as well as giving the option for a project like the one Susan did this year with the teacups.
2. A monthly scrapbook one like the one suggested by Rene that could focus on each month – people could personalise it or make it about the month.
3. Fortnightly. Something like the A-Z challenge but with a specific theme like PLACES. The somewhat neutral theme of places would allow for as much or as little personalisation as anyone wanted. Each person could choose their specific theme such as a local area, region, country, a continent, rivers, waterfalls, lakes, temples, cathedrals, villages, oceans, cities, castles, tourist attractions, holidays travel, home, space, parks, historical properties…

I've done different variations over the years.

In 2023 I did what I called a "Week In Review". I used the same template each week that had 9 photo spots. I included a photo from each day, put a small calendar with the week highlighted on another photo spot and a small cluster in the last spot. Depending on the photos, the last 2 photo spots varied from week to week. I used one very large collaboration kit the whole year. I chose to have each month with its own theme as to colors in the papers and elements. I ended up with 6 themes so in July I started over. 

Back in 2008 (Aug 31) through 2010 (Aug 28), I did a different "Week In Review". That is when I was first introduced to P365... taking a photo a day. I again used the same template, one for 2008 and all of 2009, then a different one to finish it out. Again each had multiple photo spots that I could change where the photos were each week. I again included a small calendar and another spot documented the week aka "August 31 to September 6". I used just 2 mega kits during the whole process just for the papers, no elements on any page. This was a quick and simple way to document the week and is really fun to look back at. I actually through these layouts have a documentation of the ups and down of gasoline prices. I drove by a gas station on my way to work every day and at least once a week took a picture of the price.
