Corrie Kinkel Posted Friday at 10:17 PM Posted Friday at 10:17 PM @ Sue I'm glad to see you back and was starting to get a little worried by your absence. Those 4 photos are fantastic and give a nice glimpse of the winter in your neck of the woods! 2 1

Am glad you're posting again - I've missed your photos. We have had more snow in December than we have had in the previous 4 years. Of late I have been pre occupied with photography, and other outdoor stuff. 4

I will use this photo in next year's cards, as I have a policy of always using last year's photos in next year's calendars, and cards. 4

I love this picture. they are dogs of the river, oh, like fruit bats are dogs of the sky (I want one! - and a wombat too) 1 2
Corrie Kinkel Posted Saturday at 07:49 PM Posted Saturday at 07:49 PM We still have that same foggy grey and sometimes very wet weather as the last 4 or 5 weeks. Only yesterday we had a short period of sunshine, but alas I had a couple of appointments and a lot of things to do, so very little time to enjoy it. Therefore again I have experimented some more and this is the result. I used this plant Nandine Obsessed in week 49 too but now I zoomed in on the foliage and changed the light setting to stage light with gave this result. 1 6

You know I love flowers against black, they stand out so well and it makes it like a formal portrait. 2

You can see the last of its summer coat on the snow. Their tails are white all year round. Hence their name. 4
Susan Ewart Posted 18 hours ago Posted 18 hours ago Week 50 Paper was made in the Paper workshop and Slipped In effect from Carole's book, It's easier for me to find that instruction as I know exactly where it is in the book (pgs 267-269). 2 4

When you know where to look for something you want to do, it makes it so much easier and you will probably use it often! Maybe in the end you know how to do it by heart 😉 3

Susan Ewart Posted 15 hours ago Posted 15 hours ago Week 51 Did lots of stuff here, wish I could remember it all. I do remember I used a paper (from Dancing Tiger Designs) and selected and promoted the beveled design on it. then made changes to the bevel, new color, blend modes and re-beveled it and added a large shadow to the paper below. I actually left the design on the paper below because it also had a blend mode and some of the interesting colors came from leaving the pattern intact. I could not find a font or Alpha to fit the busy ironwork design I had created. I had a idea, and a brilliant idea (hahaha, the positive grinch I am!) to use the Letterpress Script choosing the metal option which I used HSL to color it a bit. The outline I wanted to have a metal bar so I added thickness to the stroke on that preset shape outline, and used a metal pattern. I duplicated that, beveled the top layer, used a blend mode, and reduced the opacity and then used the bottom layer to add the shadow too (very light shadow) 3 more to go, to get to 54 cards in the deck. 1 3

Believe it or not, I always doubt myself, wondering if what I do is useful. You made my day! 2 2

We all appreciate the time, creativity, and expertise you put into helping everyone. Both books, the abundance of materials on the site, and your personal attention and support. And a welcoming and helpful community. We are fortunate. 2 3
