Cassel Posted June 1, 2023 Posted June 1, 2023 In June, our monthly theme is FATHER'S DAY. I don't know when Father's Day is celebrated across the world and if, like for Mother's Day, it happens to be in different months for different areas. Nevertheless, let's pick this month to honor all the fathers who have been there for us. Let's find words that you can associate with fathers' activities, skills, or attributes. And why not sprinkle some names too? If you add a name, tell us who that person is (your father, grandfather, uncle, etc.) Let's go!
Anne Lamp Posted June 3, 2023 Posted June 3, 2023 A = Accepting My dad always accepted me as I was regardless of what phase I was going though at the time.
Bonnie Ballentine Posted June 4, 2023 Posted June 4, 2023 B = blessed...I am blessed to have the Father I had. Miss him every day.
Susan Ewart Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 C= Charlie, the nick-name my dad called me. I'm not sure why or how it came to be. Just remember it as long as I can remember.
Michele Posted June 5, 2023 Posted June 5, 2023 D = Daddy - It's been over 40 years since we lost him, but my brother and I still refer to him as "Daddy," never "Dad." 1
Corrie Kinkel Posted June 9, 2023 Posted June 9, 2023 O = Opa, that's Dutch for Grandpa and we also honor them to on father's day too
Corrie Kinkel Posted June 10, 2023 Posted June 10, 2023 Q = Questions, my dad was always questioning me about what I had been doing during the day! Sometimes that could be annoying, especially when I was a teenager ?
Julie Magerka Posted June 11, 2023 Posted June 11, 2023 S = strength, not just physically but in all ways
