Cassel Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 What is your experience with robots? At home? At work? In the community? 1
Shirley Posted December 6, 2022 Posted December 6, 2022 Absolutely no experience, but they looked very impressive 1
Susan Ewart Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 "Kitty", looks like a happy employee, and she even smiled at the end. She stopped when someone walked in front of her. She's got good manners, seems to know what she's doing and probably never complains. I'd hire her to go take my place at work so I can spend more time with PSP. hahaha. 1
Ann Seeber Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I have a robot vacuum cleaner, the Roomba. Unfortunately, I can never convince either of my cats to ride on it! It is my "back saver" as I cannot push around the kind with a handle. I also have the Alexa virtual assistant all through my house which mystifies my cats as I talk to it and it answers me. ;-) 1
Ann Seeber Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Susan: I can't see your invisible "kitty!" Did you post something about her? Never mind, I just got to the Campus Update and now I see what you were talking about. Sorry... 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Recently we went to Denny's for dinner. They have robots like Kitty. I don't know if they are named. Denny's uses their robots when they are busy. 1
Marie-Claire Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I have already thought about purchasing such a vacuum robot, but have not done so yet. 1
Rene Marker Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 I also have a robot vacuum. "Birdie" does a good job but I get a headache while she's running because my dog won't stop barking at it! She chases it around the house while barking. Sometimes I think she wants it to play with her! 1
Susan Ewart Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 My husband wanted a Roomba to reprogram to play with the cats. I told him no way we are spending that much money. I just bought a twin bed and platform to make a day bed in the office.....for the cats to sleep on when I am working in there.?? I would love a robot to clean the house, do the laundry, dishes etc. ooh, and Chef robot too. 1
Corrie Kinkel Posted December 7, 2022 Posted December 7, 2022 Where I live I have never seen robots serving dinner, but robot vacuumcleaners are available in the shops. I haven't one but who knows maybe in the future. Of course Alexa and other systems are here as well, but I have no need for them at the moment. Once a lawnmower would have been welcome but after moving to a much smaller house we don't have grass anymore. 1
MoniqueN. Posted December 9, 2022 Posted December 9, 2022 Same here, Corrie, we only didn't have grass in our old (much bigger) house, but all the other things idem dito :) 1
