Sue - Thanks; but yes, plodding, plodding, plodding. I started at the very first Lab and Mod a couple of years ago, but every month Carole posts a new lab module! Will I ever catch up?????
-
Isn't it always the case that once one has checked and double checked that everything is complete, that the second it gets posted, an error or typo is instantly spotted. Been there done that! ๐
-
For fun, I finally decided to redo the same (or almost the same) presentations, but reversing the tool used the first time. What I did in Affinity, I'm doing again in PSP, and vice versa. So here's my day 1 with PSP.
-
Day 6. Started with a picture of my granddaughters, and had MS Copilot turn them into pixies - fun! Oops. mis spelled Party ๐

You won't get any argument from me, about where I live. I feel privileged, to live where I do.

That knot works so well on this layout of the new ground squirrels and the big cornerpunch add to the charme. The photos of this little ones coming to you are two of the loveliest of all the photos of ground squirrels that you showed here over the years. I have said it before but you live in the most beautiful place!
-
Cristina you executed this so well and I admire you to take on PSE as well as Affinity for a new program to learn. Nice that you show the starting point for your layout!
-
Thank you so much, Sue. ๐
-
Mary, you have plodded your way through the lab tutorials, with such dedication and enthusiasm, producing what can only be described as ineffable layouts. You should be ever so proud of yourself.
-
Best wishes for your surgery and a smooth, quick recovery, Gwen.
-
As always, your creations are perfectly executed. Right down to the last detail.
-
Several emotions surface during such moments, humbling, excitement, which I have to control, not to mention the memories I will always cherish.

Today, I decided to dedicate my available time to practice the Lab tutorials. No Affinity or PSE learning, but working with PSPโฆ well, kind of. ๐ This is from the Lab12 Module 06 (PaintStreaks#2 โ Mandala โ Gold Texture). I missed the Stabilizer option that Affinity has, but I was happy with the results. Additionally, what a great idea to use the Quick Script. This layout was created using PSP and PSE. It was my first time creating a page in PSE, but aside from Casselโs tutorials and picture tube, I did everything else in PSE. These are just the first steps; there's much more to learn to work the same way I do in PSP. Credits: Background paper from Lilypad prd-BasicallyKrafts#12. Frames by Lynn Grieveson FramePairs#1. Cassel: DateStamp#8 script and Sprinkles-Cindy Picture Tube freebie.

I whole heartedly agree with you.

This is beautiful, Sue. It takes a lot of trust for a wild animal to do this. These moments are so special!
-
There are too many things we'd like to do, but not enough time. ๐

I won the knot 17script. It wasn't until today, that I found the ideal opportunity to try it out. With the new generation of ground squirrels, that have followed in their parents footsteps, by trusting me to come for some tasty morsals. It takes time and patience, but well worth it. The script worked a treat, adding a unique element to the layout. The corner punch is one of Carole's, the rest is mine, taking colours from the photos.

I designed a business card for my son's business using Canva and had them print it. I made a mistake and sent the wrong card for printing. When I emailed Canva, they quickly responded requesting the correct layout and repinted the card at no cost to me even though it was my mistake. I was very impressed with their customer service and also the the print job was outstanding.

Oh My, what a bunch of great artists we are! I really enjoyed scrolling through 18! pages of lovely projects!๐ฅณ

Magic has grown! What a lovely girl! ๐

I love what you did with your paper tiles and how you combined the papers to make different background papers. I love making background papers and I don't like them too busy. These aren't too busy you used them beautifully in your layout and it doesn't take away from the focus of the layout.

Me too.

Wow Mary, those enamel flowers look like real enamel. Well done!

Susan Ewart started following Filter Forge Lifetime Licence
-
I got an email about a 3 day sale for the Filter Forge unlimited license ($170 off reg price- I'm in Canada). Carole or any one who has this unlimited license, is this a good buy? Is there any problems when there is an upgrade to a new version?
