I was out feeding the birds and using the Merlin app on my phone to record birdsong which the app identifies. I have a new "lifer" bird- the Yellow-Rumped Warbler (Myrtle variety). Here are the details for my layout:
Template-cass-corner-slip in
background paper=PSBT
First title font=Agency
Photo=Cornell Labs Merlin Bird ID
2nd title font=Brave Hearted + Curlz MT
Paint splash=treed-Have A Nice Day
Journal Card sketch-cass-pencil sketch 2
Bird info: Harpswell Heritage Land Trust-Maine-Nature Notes
Date stamp-cass #4Since the text is reduced I'll post it separately, also.

For the March layout, tell us something about a pet you had (or wished you had) or animals in your life
Don't you mean April?

I'm finishing all the projects I was working on; I want to leave with nothing unfinished and find that when I return in May. At that point I certainly won't do so anymore. The wood elements are a wooden background from the Behold Spring by cpjess, a wooden token I did sometime ago and the letter S is made by cass-Stacked alpha script. I have the same wood texture and used that for the other letters, all with the font Book Antiqua. I used the notebook paper, done after a tutorial in Lab 14-03, to write my story about this little gem of a flower. The paperclip I have done so long ago that I have no idea from what lesson or masterclass it stems. The heart paper is in my stash and I don't know where I got that one. In making the folds I assumed the paper was identical on fore- and background. Of course the photo has a white background.
Well done, Corrie! Everything fits so well together. Interestingly cute little bloom! You might want to correct the spelling at the end there... widely available to gardeners... needs an "e".

the "highlight" of my week was my birthday
Oh, happy birthday, Corrie! And I wish you a safe flight and wonderful time here in the old US of A! Your previous travel tales have been very interesting and I can't wait for more!

I googled it, is it a designer called Synergy Ink? I found the kit at https://www.digitalscrapbookingstudio.com/digital-art/kits/star-gazer-page-kit/ And there was a second kit called Nebula transfers. I saw some really nice kits on that site.
Thanks, Susan! I've had this kit for a long time but never used it. I also have the transfers; I think they came with the original kit. I was also pleased to use my Star Wars font 😉

Crossposting from Chit Chat-
I just cobbled together this layout using my template from the webinar's grid format.
Photos by (daughter) Laurey Keller of 2024 Total Eclipse, Matamoras, PA
SI-Star Gazer kit / Elements = Light (overlay @ 50% opacity) + Nebula-1 (Does anyone know who "SI" is?)
Font=Distant Galaxy Outline (which was an offering by Star Wars creator Lucasfilm) / White Sand gradient- 4

First mention of this class for April for me. I did just sign up though I've done them in the past. Every little bit of motivation helps my mojo! 😉

You did ask me how I did that!
I just didn't recall it showing the back that way in previous uses of that technique. Sorry, I was confused.

Wouldn't the same apply to papers too
Yes, as I mentioned in the first post. "The only issue I have is my papers and photos don't have anything on the back"

That is probably due to the way you are switching the cut corner, once you have made your cut using the point to point. You can either mirror horizontal or flip horizontal. Then rotate to align the corners. I believe there is a tutorial in the creative scrap. I think its titled Folded paper. Unless it's in the blog. I'll take a look for you shortly.
Yes, I know, Sue, but my point is it doesn't look realistic when a folded photo shows another photo on the back.

@Sue Thomas Really nice. The only issue I have is my papers and photos don't have anything on the back to show when folded. How did you do that?

National Geographic weighed in on the fun. Go to this link.

I'm nowhere near the area of totality. Here's a special food item, just for the eclipse.

love the open book look. Is that a script as well?
@bina greene Yes, that is one of Carole's scripts in the store: cass-OpenBook. It is rather fun to play with... 😉

Cornell Labs Merlin only identifies the birdsong and provides the photo. My information, as I documented, is from: Harpswell Heritage Land Trust-Maine-Nature Notes
