  1. That's sad, and interesting that you mention this (your family wondering about what Europeans think). I have friends who moved to Scotland 10 months ago. They've told me what the that part of the Europe thinks of North America, even before I asked. Corrie, don't worry about offending people here and in the US. Most in N.A would agree, the actions of a few these days horrible. Even the average North American will think the same thing. Initially my friends were talking about the extreme measures we went through to appease the Woke culture (to the detriment of productivity in companies and expenditures to accommodate the culture), now I can only imagine what Europe and the rest of the world must be thinking. I also find some people are overly passionate(extremist) about what they believe. There is no talking to people like that, and they don't even want your opinion, they just want to blather on about how much they think they know and how right their opinions are. I usually just make my grocery or to-do list in my head and insert a few uh huhs when necessary.
  2. Thank you Krystyna. I should have said which ones they were. Land is Asterixa, Air is Twinkling Night and Sea is Night Light (which when you load it, it shows up in the font list as Ninght Light - I found out when I couldnt find it in the list). All of them are from Creative Fabrica.
  3. Isnt that the truth.
  4. The weather has become "small talk" when you don't really know someone and don't know what to talk about.
  5. Thank you so much Corrie. I think I am learning more about manipulating masks than I did first time I did this workshop. I hope it's because I'm more confident with the use of mask, no sure, but I'm happy to have learned more this time through. It's certainly an odd theme, rather a theme, non-theme. I kind of feel tapped out creatively right now. At least I'm getting some photo time in. I am also looking forward to seeing how everything turns out for everyone and for myself. Lots of playing around to see what i like. I'm so used to seeing the white parts that I now dont want to get rid of them. I'm sure I'll change my mind about 10 times.πŸ˜„
  6. Lesson 5. Shadow just for visibility in the forum. I wanted to try doing the diagonal version mentioned in the tutorial. With a little luck I'll get this done by the end of the weekend.
  7. Here is the Right side.
  8. Here I am, the turtle bringing up the rear. Lesson 4. I added an reverse shadow to the page so it shows where the white page ends (it's only on this smaller forum version). After I am done all the pages I'll decided about the background or added more frames. I kind of like the white, last year I added backgrounds. Also the blue boxes I'll have to decide on a color. here is the left side.
  9. Thank you Cristina. I needed to hear this.
  10. After you are done your reorganizing, can you come and do my house? Some stuff is hard to let go of.
  11. Wow, I enlarged it and both pages filled my screen, it was awesome. I like the flip sound too.
  12. This is neat. I like that you can enlarge it.
  13. Wow, that is really neat to flip through.
  14. I love that background and the stamp is so cool.
  15. It's not cheating Donna, it's delegating.
  16. For sure mine are user error. They forgot to make their process so easy even the lowest common denominator...ME!...can do it. 🀣 I can see it is a good program and will get better because they are keen to make it so. I know it will be there if I decide to go for it. And seeing in the Campus, I can see it is pretty cool and would just buy it outright and not have struggles.
  17. It wouldn't even let me get to the activation part, except only to click Activate and just got pop ups to buy the program. If it's this many steps I think I can pass on it in good conscience. I spent an hour trying to get it to work. If I was supposed to use the other activation codes and they are a company with programmers they should make it seamless, or at the least make sure I know which codes to use. When ON1 has updates it just updates over itself, I just click once on the .exe file and done. I know all programs have their issues, I'm just not ready to deal with more right now. I wont say never because I might choose it in a year or two, who knows. Onto finishing the Magazine workshop. It didn't help that I really hated what I photographed for the double page lesson and need to reshoot (something different) and no time today. Sorry, I just made you a unwilling participant in my pity party. Thanks for coming. ☺️
  18. I thought that would happen too. As it was, there was two versions in my start up menu, yet not on my desktop. And the dominos fell from there. It's a sign I was taking on too much, and I have to learn to let go.
  19. I could but the time and energy can be put to better use, I really need to get back to the Labs instead of learning a new program. It's a hard decision to make because I like going along with the group in learning. I'm so far behind so i had to make a hard choice.
  20. Ya, I downloaded when it said there was an update. Tried to install. but wouldn't activate(tried about 5-6 times) and keeps saying my trial expired even though I am logged in. I thought maybe I was supposed to uninstall the first one because there was two of them in the start up but the second one didn't go on the desktop or even overwrite the first one like I thought it would. What I did was obviously wrong and now the first one I uninstalled is gone. I'm less patient than I used to be. The juju is real for me too. I'm taking a pass on it. If I ever need to learn it I'll always have the campus to get lessons. If I tried and re-download it says I already have it. It sure wants to me to buy it, I get that message every time.
  21. I used to watch it. I should have remembered and got the title that way. But I was looking up other names for the earth and one description started as, The 3rd rock form the sun, Earth..... etc" Then I remembered about the show.
  22. I would love being there. What an awesome experience you had.
  23. Lesson 3, only 3 behind now. Will likely finish next week as I need to do some "adulting" now (errands, boo hoo) Fonts are Gill Sans Ultra Bold, Gill Sans MT (older windows versions) and the other one is Girlie...something (sorry) from CF. I couldn't decide if I wanted to add the word "Rock in the empty space or not. I didnt for now and will probably add the logo I had made up for the "Office of Oddities). I also added the frame, very small and put it behind the mask. I'm living with it for a bit to decided if I like it like that or not.
  24. Hang in there Ann, tRump (the 't' is silent) can't live forever. Although, evil does live a long time. I just emptied my bottle of hope, it's riding the airwaves to you now.
  25. that's so sweet, I have seen this in my flowers only just last year. At first I thought the bee was dead and checked back later and it was gone. the next time I made my husband come out and see a sleeping bee because I wanted him to be my proof that it happened. I really like the colored flowers you blended in.
