  1. Well as I together with Suzy am the reason we are having this thread (thank you Carole) I'm in. I will use the script cass-CountingCards1 that has a card with the week number on it. That will give a coherent layout for the whole year and I will change the colors depending on my photo. This is just a card not a full scrapbook page and it will be easy to make. Which in my opinion makes it not too difficult to keep up with. When I have my first card done I show it here later today or tomorrow.
  2. Doska this is great and luckily Carole gave you the okay to share it here!
  3. G = Going to the Gym (two G's in one go😉)
  4. I have been playing around with the new script cass-CountingCards1-Weeks. I made 2 cards for week one but I can't see myself taking a photo every week and make a card. Carole maybe this could be a new challenge! So I thought when would I count in weeks: on a holiday when I make a lot of photos and each week could have a lot of photos. That would make a nice intropage for the different holiday weeks in a photo album. Therefore I tried that option with a photo from last year. Nice!!!
  5. V = Variation which you need to keep it up
  6. After today's Newsletter I checked the Store and saw the template freebie YearInReview-2023. I have started with the last lessons of the scripting course but couldn't resist the chance to use it. Well it's a diversion from studying the last lesson, which is a big one and I certainly can't concentrate the whole evening on it. 😉 From all the photos I took in 2023, I selected one from each month. Plus a bigger one from the Grand Canyon which was my highlight of the year, apart from seeing my family again. Furthermore nothing fancy, soft colors for the squares, because the photos are colorful enough and I didn't change the font for the months, only colored it. Now to bed and tomorrow back to the study!
  7. M = Milon circle a fitness routine
  8. We had a most unusual Christmas day; our daughter and her family were flying (from SF) to Switzerland and did so via Amsterdam. They had a transfer time of 6 hours and we (my husband, son, his partner and myself) went to the airport to meet them for a couple of hours and we all got there within 10 minutes of each other. It was fantastic to see them and hug them, but it didn't feel like Christmas at all. The big main restaurant was closed due to X-mas and understaffing, so we sat down in one of the cafeterias, luckily it was very quiet and we could sit together. After we said goodbye to them, we had a late lunch with my son and partner and went our separate ways home. My hubby and I had our Christmas dinner on Christmas Eve which we never do, so that felt a bit unnatural to us. Today I put away all the decorations, the weather is not great, rain and storm. No weather to take a long walk.
  9. Sorry to hear that you had corona, it is still not a simple flu-infection and it is going round at an alarming speed at the moment. I hear it from a lot of our friends at the moment and most of them took the latest vaccination in the last couple of months. Take care!
  10. I don't make lists anymore, so depressing not being able to follow them and realizing I can't!😭
  11. I'm in too! I'll have to search for new photos because this is the 2nd time round.
  12. A happy New Year to Carole and the whole Scrapbook family!
  13. Julie I had the same problem, no banner anymore but if you go to the calendar you still can see it and can click on the 25. There is a wordart saying Merry Christmas in many different languages and there is a time set when this countdown ends. I probably was too late checking in, but we were away for the day and just got home. Carole and Sue thank you very much for this wonderful Christmas Countdown, it was something to look forward too every day!
  14. Mary it may have taken a lot of time to complete this alphabet together with the Travel Workshop but it has turned out very beautiful!
  15. O = Opportunity to see family and friends
  16. I have been rather busy and haven't been inside this tread for a while, so I'm not going to comment on every entree, but it was a joy to browse! For all of you have a very good Christmas time, in which ever way you celebrate this time of the year. Thanks for all the inspiration, comments, friendship and support and may this continue in 2024!!!
  17. Fiona I'm very happy you opted to choose my Christmas frame that was done for a frame challenge last year and all those frames were a gift in the Christmas Countdown of last year. And believe it or not I just made a greeting out of that frame. You will see it here, I'm going to upload it now,
  18. Cristina, I thought of this topic too but couldn't decide on which size to use. So, I use different sizes depending on the use I want. If it is only for here in the Campus then it doesn't matter. On the other hand if I want to print at home, mostly for cards, I use a size that my printer can handle. When I want it printed at a printing service I use the sizes they prefer.
  19. I have no pictures of me and Santa, nor even from when I was a child (a long time ago now). I go swimming every week at our local pool and the class I attent is called Fifty Fit! Actually they should call it Sixty Five Fit but most of us are not working anymore, so really seniors! Every year after class we have Christmas lunch in the cafetaria that is there too and it is nicely decorated in this time of the year. Had I known that this topic would come up, I had taken some pictures but alas no pictures. Maybe I'll take some with our next Easter lunch. The rest of the time we drink a cup of coffee with a small group, not everyone does that.
  20. C = Cards, made yourself or bought
  21. We don't do anything on Dec 5 (or 6) for a long time now. It was only fun when the kids were young and living at home and we always had Christmas too, only without all the presents which came on Sinterklaas. Of course there was a little something for them as well under the tree. Most years our son and his wife come for dinner and the next day we go over to friends for lunch. Over here we have 2 days of Christmas, so almost everyone that is working is lucky, 2 days off. But we miss our daughter and the grandkids who live in the States, I have mentioned earlier that my husband isn't able to travel due to health problems and I will not leave him alone at home on Christmas. I'll hope to visit them again somewhere next year. A Merry Christmas to you too!
