  1. @ Corrie Kinkel Yes I know and completely overlooked it, I'll rectify!! I was too hasty....
  2. P = Photo album, maybe nowadays days it will be a video.
  3. I started a bit later today and noticed a new link for a template which I used, although I have the old one and the Diamond one too. I have both used, but a new template is always welcome! For this template I could use a couple of photos that are narrow and long without having much resizing. I made different plaids until I had one that I liked and that went well with the colors of the photos but I reduced the opacity otherwise it would overpower the photos. Fonts are Perfectly Vintages and Arial rounded. The smaller photos had no borders or a mat underneath, so I made very thin borders to make them stand out a bit more.
  4. Fiona by looking at your screenshot I noticed that you have the shadow layer inside the mask layer, probably by mistake. That shadow layer has to be outside the mask layer and on its own layer under the mask layer. Look how the other 2 small photos are done in your layers palette. You can pull that shadow layer out of the mask layer and place it below the mask layer. I hope this makes sense to you and isn't it nice to have some notes on "old fashioned" paper next to the computer!
  5. It is such a timesaver and it is probably the script I use the most!
  6. This will be the 3rd time I'm doing this workshop and it will be a rehearsal of the masking techniques for me. Especially because I normally tend to use the Raster to Mask script and now I will do them manually. I have a lot of flowers from my last year's trip to the States that I haven't used in other projects like the Calendar or Travel Workshop. Last year I used the templates for the Diamond members, so this time I will probably use the given templates. For the background: 2 papers from Escale Amoureuze with a blend mode and an inked edge overlay by Rachel M Hailey. The font is Montana Rough.
  7. Carole I want to use the first horizontal row for my bingo, but I can't find the tutorial for the Lacy Ribbon! I checked the element tutorials and all the Labs and did so a couple of times. So please help!
  8. Yes it does brighten the room and my spirits! This weather what we have at the last weeks or even months is a real pity because outside the crocuses and daffodils planted alongside some streets and pavements are almost drowning and they still are starting to flower but look droopy!
  9. Mary you did fantastic with all those labs you did and I greatly admire your persistence!!! I'm not able to do that on my own for such a long time and this last one is very nice. You never know what you can use later on and I like the suggestions from Susan, so it won't be a waste of time. Besides all the labs you have made a lot of other time consuming projects! Take a rest, do something else and your mojo will be back for the Build a Kit Workshop which is a very different thing from making layouts.
  10. This week my Amaryllis opent its flowers and it looks gorgeous. The big bulb has 2 stalks with thick fat buds and one of them has its 5 flowers open now. The other stalk is shorter and the bud is still closed, but it is seldom that both stalks are in flower at the same time which make the period with flowers much longer. With all the miserable weather outside it is nice to have some color inside the house.
  11. Sue what a wonderful shot of this owl! I have said it before; I envy the surroundings you live in. I know it has a harsh climate but it rewards you with its beauty and we are lucky that we can enjoy it through your photos.
  12. Susan. I like what you did with the script, the results differ but together it works great. I will have to play some more with it, if and when I have a bit of free time. At the moment all different kinds of things are going on that need my attention too.
  13. I have been playing with the Pencil Sketch 2 script which I won last Sunday and this is one of the images I created. I used this month's Lab to make the dots and an edge punch just for fun. The font is Fadilla. When using the pencil sketch I find that it gives the best result with images that have very defined edges with colors that are not too light. Here I decided to give some of the flowers a little bit of color.
  14. Anne did you make a typo with comon or is this a normal word for a type of pinecone? Sometimes I encounter here words that I have never heard of, so I'm not sure...
  15. Well if you find the answer, let me know!😉
  16. Me too, I always want to add to the gallery but then I'm spending a lot of time reading all the entrees here and think: later.......
  17. I too transferred my photo from the January thread to this one, maybe I was a bit early in posting the week wasn't over yet. It is a photo of my family's dog and a cutie!
