  1. Day one Yesterday we had a tiny, tiny bit of snow with temperatures between -2 C at night and +2 C in the daytime. Here in the Netherlands we don't get snow every year and today was sunny; so I took some photos and used one of those for this day 1 layout. The kit I used is a favorite of mine and is called Winter Morning by DBMagnolia for the Blogtrain January 2022. I didn't use the layer with the circles, hided it and added a new raster layer with snowflakes made with a brush. The font is Fantasy Magist a freebie by Creative Fabrica (one of their everyday freebies)
  2. N = Numbers of how many times you have to repeat an exercise
  3. I do aquafit too, but what are jumping jacks?
  4. I send it to you digitally 🍰
  5. The same here just on the other side of the border, but it is nice to be able to enjoy it however short it was!
  6. With this size I see that I have to increase the kerning of the word week twee for the font I used, will do that for week 3
  7. This week is all about my husbands birthday and he insisted I didn't use a photo where he is on! But a photo of the "vlaai" a specific Dutch kind of cake with different toppings will do perfectly. It originated in the province of Zuid-Limburg, but is now widely available and loved. For this week I changed the colors of the frame and text to suit the photo. Now wait and see what week 3 brings....
  8. Sharla that exactly what this "challenge" is about and I intend to do the same; just a photo of something that stood out this week.
  9. Making an using masks is such a lot of fun! This one is very nice.
  10. Not really, only on icerinks that have just a couple of centimeters it is ok and they have opened. On deeper water it is too dangerous because the high waterlevels are going down, the pumps are still working to get rid of all that water. Therefore there is a current under the thin ice layer which prevents the grow of the ice and it won't hold. Maybe for an individual skater but not for many people at the same time. Besides that later this week the temperatures are said to go up and we are back to the rain again
  11. Yes I have that color problem too and if I use a printservice that can give a slightly different color as well. I have calibrated my screen and that helped a bit, it has not as much difference now. Your script comes in handy now!
  12. This is a lovely layout and it could have been here in the Netherlands because we have had so many rain in the last 2 months that the rivers, lakes and brooks are overflowing! Now this week all of a sudden we have days with temperatures below zero even at daytime, but at least with a blue sky. I know for many of you that is normal, but not here and the forecast is that the weather will change back to rain and higher temperatures!
  13. I'm very glad Poncho has recovered from the surgery! He almost has become a member in the scrapbook group. We see so many lovely photos with him.
  14. We were posting at the same timeπŸ˜ƒ
  15. Mary you do not have to use/buy that script, but it would be great if you could at least put a week number on your photo. The script does that for you with a frame and year as well. The idea is to make a coherent view of what you did, experienced, was a high/low-light of your week. When the year is at its end you have something you can share, print whatever takes your fancy. And as we all know, life happens and if you are not able to take a photo or can't post it that week, well do it the next week or if you prefer post only one's a month. Of course you can do this on your own, but we thought it might be more fun and a little pressure to keep doing this in a group. Even if your mojo is low at some point, one photo without making it a scrapbook project is doable besides all other things
  16. Y = Yogurt, we shouldn't forget to eat something healthy and with protein and I prefer it with some fruit as well
  17. Anja, danke vielmals! You made a lovely minikit and I will find good use for it in my own projects.
  18. Luckily every one can do what feels right to them. I have had and used cameras, but nowadays with phones having acceptable cameras I only use my phone. My children and their partners all work in IT and computers; so phones are always present and topics of the conversation. When I travel to my daughter in the States and I'm traveling on my own (because my hubby can't do that any longer) it is very convenient not to have a camera as well.
  19. I don't use a camera any longer, I use my phone. The phones have better and better cameras, enough for what I want. But when I buy a new phone with new possibilities, I always do the same to get to know it.
  20. Mary beautiful, it makes me long for summer!
  21. I didn't know that, I learn so much here πŸ˜ƒ
  22. My contribution for this font challenge. I used the Mona Home font for the title of the poem and the font for the poem itself is Aura also a thin monoline font. Thanks to the extremely mild weather we have had the snowdrops are already in flower. My son showed me a photo of it from his garden, but for this layout I used one I took some years ago because it was better suited, no clutter in the background! The drawing of the fairy comes from DigitalScrapbook.com and I had it for some time in my stash together with the poem. I have taken the liberty to alter the poem a tiny bit. In the poem was written the Fair Maid of February and I changed that to January. I think that's ok I'm not going to sell or publish this layout other than here and maybe in our facebook group.
  23. Q = Quadriceps, the muscles on the frontside of the upper leg which are responsible for stretching the knee
  24. This my contribution for week One. I just choose the fonts I will be using on every card.
  25. Ann I'm glad you are feeling well again; Covid is still among us! I have had it 14 months ago and like you with mild symptoms. But it was a pity that you got it in this time of the year.
