  1. Susan I use FB only for the same purpose, but FB has a recent option to NOT share your data for AI learning. It is in the settings, ask google how to disable that setting if you want to do so. I have done this and FB has sent me a confirmation that they won't use my data, for what it is worth! I don't remember if this option is only for European users because the European Union has a DigitalMarketsAct in place. The big tech companies have to comply with that regulation otherwise they get huge fines. Apple knows all about that and others have difficulties as well. Apple will not bring some AI features in their new OS18 to the European market and it had to open its app store for other developers, which in turn does not come to the other parts of the world.

  3. I have only checked Facebook for the fun questions because I'm not on Instagram; I have been for a while but gave it up, not of particular interest to me.
  4. Nicely done, the weaving of the chain looks very realistic!
  5. Julie very nice and as always it is in your style!
  6. Very nice background! Did you use Copilot in Bing? You must have given a very good prompt to get this result. I'll think I have to give it a try......
  7. Fiona nice to see you here! For my weeks I use a photo of something that stood out for me in that week, like flowers in the snow in the beginning of January, a birthday, my trip to the States to the fair we had for this week. It will give me a nice overview of the year that I can print.
  8. Michele glad to hear that but take it easy in the heat! Everything, or almost everything can wait a bit until you feel up to it. In the mean time we do our best to entertain you with all we come up with! 😉💐
  9. That is a barbaric behavior and I'm glad that ours are protected and their numbers are increasing; which in turn can give problems if they want to make their burrows under railway tracks or in dikes. In the older says they were hunted for their fur but mink became more populair and it is only a very short time ago that the mink farms were forbidden.
  10. I have a nice photo of a sunset over a lake and found a song that goes with it with the word Sun in the title and the lyrics. We had another rainy Sunday, so no problem to spend some time at the pc. Because I wanted to concentrate on the sunset in the photo I used a rectangular mask (by Jessica Dunn). I used 3 different papers with blendmodes until I got something that I liked and that somewhat matched the colors in my photo. I used a journalcard but changed the top deco and in honor of todays masterclass made a rope frame. The drawing of the boat comes from Jessica Dunn as well. Fonts are Alustia for the title and Bremlin for the text of the lyrics.
  11. Nice to meet the North America badger! We have badgers too and I suspect they are related to the UK badgers, because they form a family group as well. They are more or less used to humans and there are families that love to make their "homes" under railway tracks. The tracks lie on a manmade elevated trail so their burrows will keep dry in wet conditions! Of course this poses a danger to a track if it is undermined this way. The badgers are a protected species and have to be relocated carefully. The endangered tracks were temporarily closed until they were caught and given a new home while the old burrows were being filled and bared so they wouldn't be able to come back.
  12. Dawn this looks absolutely lovely and I would be very happy receiving such a card on my birthday!
  13. This week no photos of flowers or plants in the rain/sun, but of the yearly fair in the middle of the village. I wanted to go and take photos in the evening too because of all the lights that come with a fair, but that didn't happen. We had company and we were invited somewhere else for dinner. When I could have gone it was pouring with rain!
  14. Where I live we don't have many stray cats, most that are roaming the streets are from people in the neighboring houses. The biggest danger to them is being run over by traffic. However we are getting wolves nowadays that wander around and are mostly coming from Germany or further into Europe. Birds hitting a window is something we know too, even in the cities. Around my village it are often doves or sparrows. In the house we are living now it hasn't happened but in our old house it did.
  15. I have marked my calendar too, but it is always a bit difficult to know when to start due to the time difference and I suspect that I need to go to the American Amazon site and not to the Dutch one that comes up first when I go to Amazon. If I'll be buying the book depends on how much it will cost having it send to me in Europe. Of course I can have it delivered to my daughter's but it will be in 2025 before I will be visiting there. Dilemmas..........
  16. Michele all the best and take good care of yourself; double pneumonia is not something to take lightly! We are here and love to see your work when you are up to it again.
  17. So true, when I want to print an album or something for a special occasion I always ask my hubby to check it and almost always he finds something!
  18. Ann giving birth in a warm bath has been a practice over here too. Nowadays it isn't as populair as it once was, but it is still done!
  19. Fascinating and something I vaguely remember to have read somewhere, but this video makes it real and I won't forget it for sure.
  20. Julie this are gorgeous creatures with their colors, most of the time when you see them in an aquarium they are greyish.
  21. Q = Queen Triggerfish - thanks to google
