  1. My interpretation of the above sketch.
  2. Thank you Fiona, I have all the patience in the world for all the interests I have. Not so much for people in general. So many wonderful pages being posted. Michele, you never cease to amaze me with your pages. No two are ever even remotely similar. Corrie, it's great to have you back.
  3. I played with the shadow box I started several months back. I added some colour and adjusted the shadowing. I think it's still a work in progress. Once I'm happy with it I will add a greeting, as it's going to be a 5x7 ecard.
  4. Sorting through my photos this evening, placing them in their relevant folders. I decided to make a start on showcasing some of them. I used Carole's special fonts for the lace edge, and to decorate the labels. Add borders tool. A simple layout.
  5. You'll observe fractals everywhere in nature, basically it's a series of patterns repeating itself over and over, at different scales.
  6. Thanks Michele. 6 of the 10 tree swallow nest boxes are occupied this year. The parents occupying this box are busy trying to keep up with the constant demand of feeding young. I suspect they gave 4 nestling. I'll find out when they fledge. I have photos of youngest popping their heads out of holes. I appreciate the shadow comment.
  7. To add a shadow to the photo, that is the question. I have added shadows to the others, but left this one, in my opinion naked. Personally, I would add a small shadow. I do know how to add a shadow to paint at the edge of a photo or paper. When I get a minute I'll do one for you all to see the realistic effect. It's in one of Carole's tuts or masterclasses, which one for the life of me I can't remember. All I know is it was a long time ago.
  8. So many wonderful pages being created with such varied topics, also many varied topics being discussed. I've now finished playing around with these lovely, quite different frames. I now have several templates for future use.
  9. Thank you for kind words. Everyone has been busy creating wonderful pages. I've been making the most of summer, and everything it has to offer.
  10. This morning in the latest email, Carole has another new script called Paint frames 1. I'm always looking for new ways to showcase photos and these frames are awesome. I've created the rectangle frame with corner boxes before, but not with the a higher opacity that overlapping or another coat of paint would give. Anyway I gave it a go. Although the script would have been quicker, these frames were easy to create. I added some noise
  11. It it was once. Some time ago that I accidently clicked on the remember text icon. From what I remember it wasn't a simple case of unclicking that icon. After several tries I closed the program after deselecting, and to be on the safe side I also closed the laptop. For that tool not function. Give it a try.
  12. In the text toolbar, after the vector shape icon, you'll see a small box with a T in it, if you have selected it, it will remember the text last used. You'll need to unclick it. to resolve your issue.
  13. I agree that the example you have posted is a lovely Alpha and only an alpha(bet). I may be completely wrong, and way off the mark, but to me a monogram is a letter or number, typically someone's initials usually combined or interwoven in a decorative design, to be used in a logo or something along those lines like in a title. The font frames that I have are stored in borders, frames and dividers folder. Which is where I will put the above pngs. I was merely pointing out that those lovely heart png frames above, is not a font, or a monogram, but comes under what I would class as borders, frames or if split, can be used as a divider.
  14. Thank you. Did you by any chance forget to add shadows to your frames?
  15. In order to read text on the label, I've posted a larger file on facebook. Scrapbooking with PSP.
  16. I have several projects on the go, this being one of them. Although these are advertised as a monogram, it's not a font. They are very large png files. The width is to wide for my liking, had they have been a font (Vector), editing to my liking would have been ever so much easier, whilst retaining the sharpness of them. Anyway, I chose one and used it in a label I created. (Overlay blend mode). I also opted to use a slightly different approach to framing the 2 photos. The butterfly strip was created using 3 butterfly png files.
  17. Did you try enlarging the mask, or making the photo smaller. I don't have the script, but I can always enlarge the masks I make myself. By the way the insect isn't a bee, it's a fly. A wasp mimic. Depending on where you live in the world they are commonly known as either hover flies or flower flies. Very important pollinators.
  18. Photo prong, sand texture, scratched paper, twisted string, acrylic.
  19. Ah, now I see. I don't want to come across as being picky, but your tapes resembles phrase strips. As tape is translucent. Carole has 4 tape tutorials. Celotape, (you'd call it scotch tape, coloured tape, uneven tape, and rolled tape. She also has 2 sand tutorials, sand brush and sand texture. Resizing for the campus makes it difficult sometimes to make out what is what. I initially thought your confetti was to represent a sand effect.
  20. What 4 or 5 elements did use in a straight line from the bingo card?
  21. It was a pleasure, without any effort on my part. I await with anticipation to see your homework.
  22. This is the second step, the top two are steps one and three.
  23. Here you go, I've done some screen shots for you to follow. Now this is fool proof!!! LOL hahaha! only joking! Of course there are several ways to copy, you can either promote to a new (which is what I did) layer, paste as a new image/layer, or copy /paste directly into a project, paste as a new selection and more. It's raining here, and it's wonderful, the first proper rain since last year. I have the windows open listening to the rain. The little bird is a Least Flycatcher, I have lots of them here. they are ever so entertaining, they look around for insects to catch on the wing. This one few off a second after the shot, to catch an insect in mid air. They choose great vantage spots.
  24. Using the selection tool select the area you want in your image, feather several times, copy and paste. It's that simple. The only thing is you get a uniform blur all around, whether it's round., square or rectangle. That's fine if that's what you want. For corners only you need a Mask.
