  1. Thank you ever so much for your kinds, posted on facebook. You need to get out of your controlled photographic studio, and start shooting what you see around you. I would love to see those photos, and showcased in lovely pages. next spring and summer, you'll have the bees that will occupy your bee tower hotels, and just think of all the creatures that you'll get to see and shoot that will be attracted to your flowers. I guarantee it, that you'll get a real buzz from it! ?
  2. Is there a reason for cross-posting pages? Or am I missing something! Personally, I like to stick to posting in the relevant categories within the forum.
  3. Yes, they are downloadable for Diamond members. or as a diamond member you can view the videos within the campus at any time.
  4. Susan, I have now posted it on Facebook, for much better viewing.
  5. Thank you, they certainly are masters of the air. Their flight skills are mind blowing to watch in real time.
  6. I haven't put it on Facebook yet, but I will do it shortly. Thank you!
  7. It's saves time scrolling through each video.
  8. For each Q&A call, Carole lists the content of each Q&A. I copy and paste each months content into a word document. for easy access.
  9. I do enjoy these type of challenges! Thank you Carole!
  10. For easier reading. I simply can not resist adding word art. The background paper is taken from the same photo used in the background paper on the main page. Changed the colour, overlay, etc.
  11. The days of crouching and crawling around on the ground is coming to a close for this year. It does pay off though, along with a lot of patience, it can be very rewarding. Everything is my own work. Pin, paperclips, sequin, polaroid images. Carole's corner punch, and lifted corner script. The background paper is from from another photo I took on the same day, lightened.
  12. Susan, inexperienced or not, it is quite a common mistake. Especially when planting trees. Many people forget or do not take into account that a 6inch sapling will grow to possibly to 100ft tall, and spread branches. Same goes for flowers. It is amazing how plants will adapt to their location, twisting, turning, stretching to reach for the sun.
  13. Two done, another two seasons to do, and you will four lovely prints, which will look great wall mounted.
  14. Carole has so many wonderful techniques, remembering them all, and where they are can be a challenge in its self. I have started to use this technique to create some Christmas decorations. Using winter scenes. You matched the colours well. Looks like your flower bed is on a bank sheltered by a hedge. With the flowers facing towards the sun.
  15. I have had the odd photoshop abr brush file that wouldn't allow me to convert to PSP. The Neon tutorial in the creative scrap, is fun, quick and easy and to do.
  16. I'm pleased you have found it. For anyone else wanting to know how to create the effect, scroll through to 38 minutes and 30 seconds. Carole demonstrates the technique after creating a shadow box. What threw me was that I was looking at the list of contents of the Q&As. As the shadow box wasn't mentioned. So I scrolled through the months where I thought it would be, and found what I was looking for. Actually Jannette I use 2 slightly different techniques, with the same result. I use vectors, as the edges are ever so much sharper and cleaner. I create each layer, with the colours I'm going to use. ( from vector shape) Creating the shadows after each layer.
  17. Can anyone remember the short tutorial Carole did on creating a cut out, similar to what I did in this page. I'm unable to find it, I think it may have been a zoon tutorial. It isn't in the shadow box masterclass. I've done a few of them, using 2 different techniques. I would like to refresh my memory on how Carole did it. Please send me a link, if you know where it is.
  18. I still have 2 native Aster plants with some flowers on. The little skipper turned up on the 10th October. I was pleasantly surprised to see, and be able to photograph it. Last night I worked on finishing off creating rectangle, and square frames using Carole's frame punches. Now I have all the punches framed, ready for use. I used one them in this page, also used the wood token 2 tutorial to date the page.
  19. Oh my goodness me! The first airing of Poldark, was back in the mid 70's, I remember it well. I was a teenager back them. Robin Ellis and Angharad Rees. I idolized them both. As for Endeavour Morse, They chose the prefect actor to play that part, in Shawn Evans. Also a very fitting role for the journalist, is Abigail Thaw, the daughter of John Thaw. There wasn't a detail left out in the production of Endeavour. John Thaw would have been very proud, had he been alive.
  20. The series is set in Ireland, produced by BBC Northern Ireland. I'll say no more! Look out for it next Monday evening, once you have watched it, you'll appreciate the title of the drama. Typically Irish.
  21. One of my favourite Autumnal shots, take along the shores of Lake Diefenbaker, at Danielson Park. One of my favourite masterclasses is all about paper and element templates. All the papers used were created using those templates. For the frame I used several borders, and a selection of the photo, copied and paste into selection.
  22. Here on the prairies, for long lasting outstanding Autumnal colours, you need to look down, and not up. These are Native roses, which grow low to the ground.
  23. I love the photo, I like that the Mallards are also captured in the shot. I'm going to add my own personal opinion, which my eye was drawn to firstly, and not the layout, or photo. I don't want to come across as being offensive, but my eye was drawn to the black silhouette flying birds up in the right hand corner. Which didn't look right to me. With the direction of the light source, the photographer would have had the sun behind him/her. I would omit those birds, but that is my personal opinion, after all you are the creator.
  24. Father Brown is a great all round drama series, you will thoroughly enjoy it. Another classic golden oldie drama series started on Monday night on Vision. Ballykissangel check it out. It was a great hit when it was first aired back in 1995. I ran for 6 or 7 series I believe.
