You can keep both as they are not the same. Notepad would work but Notepad++ has line numbering, which is essential when scripting. Did you ever notice error messages when running a script? Ever noticed that it usually has a line number in that message? Imagine trying to find the error on line 2654 if the lines are not numbered! (and yes, I occasionally have scripts with over 10,000 lines of code)

We already have Peggy, Mireille, Cristina, and Susan who registered. Last time, we had a cohort of only 12, which is a good number where I am able to help everyone.

No need for anything special. PSP already installed the Python version you need. As for the text editor, Notepad++ is recommended, and it is free. That is what I use. That will be in lesson 1!

Sure. Will this link work?

You are right. I had put the Amazon.ca link. I corrected it now so you can use the "new" link to get it on Amazon.com

Have you ever seen those children's cameras? Do you know anyone who has one? And now, about the birthday party, here is one layout I made with a few pictures. Let's chat.

The theme for August is TOOTH FAIRY, which is a fantasy story that most children know of. Do you have any story about losing your first tooth, or your child's first tooth? Why not share that story in a fun layout? Let's go! Post your project in the gallery.

In August, our monthly theme is the Tooth Fairy. Whether you have children or grandchildren or not, you have certainly heard of the Tooth Fairy, even if you haven't played that role yourself. What words can we think of related to this theme would start by the different letters of the alphabet? I suspect this theme might be a little more challenging than the one in July, so maybe we can imagine various treats that the Tooth Fairy COULD give the children? Let's go!

It is a new month and new projects. Show off what you are working on in August be it a scrapbook page, a collage, a tutorial, or anything else you want. We are curious and want to see, learn, and get inspired. These threads are quickly becoming a fantastic source of inspiration, support, and friendship. Keep them coming! Remember to size down your image to about 600x600 pixels and save it in .jpg format before posting it. Here are a few guidelines for everyone: when you post a project, give as much information on your sources or techniques used. It will help others who are curious and would like to do the same. if someone uses something that you like on their page, ask where they got it. Sometimes, you can go get it too and it will be better quality than trying to extract it (as it would have been resized to post in the forum anyways). if it is something that they did from scratch, ask how they did it. It would be so helpful to everyone! if you like a photo and would like to “play with it”, ALWAYS ask permission. Sometimes, there are some limitations and the person is not allowed to let others use it. Don’t get them in trouble. Usually, people are happy to say yes (if they can) when you ask politely. And if you get permission, you might get a better-quality image than the resized image anyways.

Yes, it is Xavier. Three years old now. The weather was perfect, and the kids had a ball with the waterslide.

And for once, I made a layout that is NOT part of a workshop!

From the album: Cassel
These are just a few photos taken during my grandson's birthday party. The theme was Dinosaurs, and the dinos and leaves were the same that were used in the decorations. -
Have you ever used SuperFinder XT? I have an article about it. I use it extensively to search for things on my computer.

If it is picky, maybe you can go in the presets for the Text tool, and click the Reset button?
-
When you run the script, is the OBJECT active in the layers palette? Sometimes, it becomes deactivated so the script won't work.
-
You could save it as a PNG image. It will lose its layers so if you need to add textures, bevels or shadows, do it before you save it. And yes, you can definitely do alphabets with that. I have done so several times before.

Making a Preset shape is in Lesson 2.
-
It must just be caught in cyber-linmbo. Just change the lesson number on any of the URL that work and that should do it.
-
Have you ever used or seen some fun "food names" during a party? Share what you have seen, even if it is not dino-related. Let's chat.

Preset shapes are already paths so that is why it will be greyed out. However, picture tubes are not vectors so that cannot be converted to path.

Yeah, sometimes, the simplest things are not explained anywhere.
