Are you the kind of person who likes to have just a few decorations for whatever holiday you are celebrating, or are you among the ones who love to have decorations everywhere? Do you have pictures of your decorations? They could be from this year, if you already put them up, or from previous years. Let's chat.

Question 1 - yes, it is the latest version with most problems solved (although there is one "added" bug with the moving of a selection). Question 2 - I don't think it will work well if INSTALLED on an external drive. I have heard some people trying that with less than-happy results.

You might be thinking of quick-pages. Templates are often black and white and they give you suggestions for the placement of photos, papers, elements, etc. but you still have full control over what you put. If you have Photoshop supplies, PaintShop Pro can use .psd files (although not all the features will carry over, like the Layer Styles) .abr brushes - you just have to import them into PSP .grd gradients - you have to import them .csh - preset shapes. You can convert them with a script. Here is an article about it. Of course, all the .psp files like .pspbrush, .psptube, .pspgradient, .pspshape, etc. are native for PSP. Typically, you don't need to import/export any of them. You just put them in the correct folder. And all the usual non-program-specific files like .jpg and .png are available as is.

Oh, let me fix that.

Oh, that must have been from last year's workshop which had totally different templates. Thanks. I'll fix that.

Welcome to the participants who already posted: @Ann Seeber @Corrie Kinkel @Bonnie Ballentine @Jannette Nieuwboer @Anja Pelzer @Susan Ewart @Cristina @Jeanine Caston @Les Cook @Brian Smith @Stanis Faye @Lynda DiGregor @Julian Adams @MoniqueN. @Dan Greenwood @Barbara Caulton @mark sternat Now, for the daily feedback and answers. @Lynda DiGregor That is an interesting idea to add the days of the week. Why didn't I think of it!? To create a shadow, you COULD do it, but it might be a bit challenging since your photo is through a mask. I'll add an extra lesson for that at the end. Thanks for the idea. @MoniqueN. I don't think your photo is so offside. You can enlarge it a little and I think it would work. @Barbara Caulton as Ann mentioned, it is normal that when you paste the photo, it will be a new layer. The PHOTO HERE layer is just a placeholder telling you where to activate the layer so you did it correctly. @Anja Pelzer Good start. I guess you are already familiar with these templates. Each day will have a lesson about something else on those templates, like the dates, the month, and the background. @mark sternat We'll get to help you. I already sent you an email about it. You'll get there. If you have not posted anything yet, don't worry. Even if you did the lesson, your pages are not completed yet. If you want to wait until the end to show your work, it is fine. You can still come and post comments, and share your struggles, or your ideas. You can comment on others' projects, etc. Make yourself visible. We want to "see" you 🙂

Maybe you were on the default Photography workspace?

Would you be able to share screenshots of what you have that is not supposed to be? It would help us help you. As for your next steps, just like the Bootcamp, workshops are fun because you do them with a group, so you get inspiration and ideas. The Calendar workshop started this morning. You can register if you have not yet: https://scrapbookcampus.com/promo/calendar-workshop/ Otherwise, other workshops are also available and they are always focussed on one specific topic. For you, you might like to try the Template workshop, since I assume you are/might be using templates.

Good question. Based on the templates provided, the image will end up horizontal, about 2400x1700 pixels. If you have a recent version of PSP, you will be able to enlarge photos that might be a bit too small.

I am providing you with a card with 24 elements that can be included in a layout. You can make a bingo by using any element in a straight line that would make a bingo, whether it is a horizontal line, a vertical line, or a diagonal line. That means that you have to include 5 (or only 4 if you use the FREE in the center) elements in your layout. Of course, you can have more than one bingo if you want to create more than one layout. Once you post your layout, tell us what 4-5 elements from the Bingo card you are using (it is just easier for everyone to check on you! ? ) So, here is your card, for November 2023. If you are a DIAMOND member and want to create those elements, you are more than welcome. All the elements listed have a tutorial inside the membership. If you don't have access to those tutorials, or if you don't want to do anything from scratch, you can also use ready-made elements. There is no rule for or against that. The only rule: have fun and be creative!

I guess this is one of those "try anything" steps like reboot the computer, delete the cookies (or eat them), delete the cache, update the browser (or try with a different one). We never really know which one will work but always worth a try. Glad it worked!

Most tools don't work if you have more than one layer active. When that happens, just select one layer.

We'll all be here in whatever way you need us. We are a very close community and are always willing to help when we can. Take your time. PSP won't go anywhere, but if PSP can be your relief, let it be.

I think this is a good example of the perspective not matching 100% between the mockup and the photo. Maybe the effect would work better if the photo was mirrored. (although I don't know if you would have enough space then)

Last week was pretty funny in town where everyone seemed to be calling out "Paul". What do you think of this? Have you ever seen something else, in your area, where everyone seems to be connecting in an unusual manner? Let's chitchat.

That is how I reached out.
-
I still didn't get any response to my FB message.

Oh, I found the article!!! I had sent a request to the magazine, and had kept a copy of the email!!! https://www.examiner.com.au/story/5106101/career-brings-professional-and-personal-fulfillment-for-lgh-nurse/ Unfortunately, I never got any response.

Yes, it seemed like something local, but I have no idea where to look.

The platform for the live classes is totally separate from the Campus and the forum and it does not know the difference between a DIAMOND member and an outsider! That is why you get to see the same offers as everyone else. I have no idea what is happening. I know there WAS an issue and I had it fixed. Did you try deleting the cookies or clearing the cache?

Shadowing is tricky with that type of effect. First of all, we have to remember that it is a "fantasy" setup so it is not going to be 100% realistic. Second, the shadows will depend on the lighting you have at the time. Finally, the shadowing will depend on what we want to get, but like in Sue's example, she based her shadows on the existing shadows on the scene. Notice that the light source is not from the top left, but from the top right to match the others.

I have not figured it out yet. I will wait until I have all the photos on hand to decide. I have many options: keeping it completely white so the focus is only on the photos having a random watercolor pattern to frame the frame (which might not be white either) using a faded/black and white version of the photos themselves (which might not always work if they don't cover the whole page create a small pattern from the colors in the photo So, right now, it is still a work in progress and nothing is finalized, however, the OOB approach is getting more and more interesting now. I'll keep you all posted!

That is true. I had another project to show (but that will be for Part 2) which is even more important when you consider the perspective for the photo and the "base".

As I have mentioned before, I plan on making a storybook with photos of my son-in-law and grandson as a "home-made" gift exchange this Christmas. I am still collecting photos to have enough for a story, and I have not yet, decided on how to display the photos (as is? with instant effect? extracted?) so I thought of trying another method, which is the OOB, as we saw in the class yesterday.
