  1. My take on the sketch. I didn't do an exact replica of that sketch but kept enough of it to make it recognizable. I used the mask from the mask workshop 2-extra because it is square in a way. The background is made with 2 papers and a blendmode/opacity until I got something I liked + some ink splatters. Edge punch from Carole. Font is Christmas Mother and arial for the text. Made a little cluster with different shadows as in the shadow workshop and the elements come from my stash with the flower from Marisa Lerin and the ribbon is made with the curly ribbon script by Carole, Oh and I took the colors from my photo.

  2. Anja and Corrie, these are really beautiful layouts. Corrie, I can see the difference in the shadows on your cluster, good work! And I love that edge punch. Anja, I really like the look of your layout and how each section is well defined with the shadows and the spaces between the sections (papers). You have lots of touches that really make it a WOW layout.

  3. Well, three years ago, I fell on the stairs. Over time, they became "off-level". One morning, it was raining slightly, and I was holding my grandson's hand (he was just 12 months old), and my shoe slipped on the uneven step. I had a bad fall. My grandson did too, but he only fell ON the step. I had a nasty bruise for weeks. We added a 2x4 where I could at least hold something and the stairs were leveled within days. My husband also bought that anti-slip paint and painted all the steps with it (it is like paint with sand in it).

  5. That is a great solution. I find that more than the drawing, the difficulty is the "visualization" of the path. Without the visualization, it is even harder to draw it. I had the same problem. I had to do it and redo it several times, so don't despair! Once you have a path, you have to adjust it to the thickness of the rope itself, but you can always keep that path. In fact, maybe even save it as a preset shape! So you won't have to redo anything from scratch!

  6. Donna if it is of some consolation to you. my first attempt wasn't looking anything better! Drawing by hand is not for me and your solution to use a nice knot and trace the parts with the pen tool is a good idea. Something to follow because it really looks nice

  7. Lab 14 - Knotted rope = utter failure! I ended up downloading a knot from Canva, traced the parts with the pen tool and ran the vector tube. Element 1 is the result, element 2 is the download and element 3 is my pathetic attempt. I used Carole's rope tubes,

  9. Wonderful news Ann. She will have the best kitty life living with you. Glad to hear your cat girls are coming around to her. She looks very soft, I love that rust colored line down the middle of her face.

  10. Good job! It looks great, and, believe me, as your get older, you will be as glad for the rails as the grandchildren! Lol! Yes, my husband and I were always DIYers. Most often because it was cheaper, but also because of the personal satisfaction.
