Bonnie Ballentine Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 This is Marla, their daughter and her two daughters...and, of course, Marilyn. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Selkirk is a brand of pickleball paddle and many of our players play with Selkirk paddles...as shown here by Michelle and Judy. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 This page did not use the tutorial. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 I did want to learn the technique taught on Day 6 so I created this page. It does not fit my theme but I think it makes an interesting page. 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 I created this template...never again with so many layers...and them I misaligned one small square...and did not create enough squares for all players. 2 were left out... It was a laborious process but I did enjoy learning it. Thank you, Carole, for a great challenge! 1
Bonnie Ballentine Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Monique, one square on my mask did the same as yours. I never did figure out how/why it happen. I finally deleted that mask group and created another...and all was fine. My template had a lot of mask groups...and only one had that problem. Carole may be right about the light grey... 1
Marie-Claire Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Hi everyone, with delay here is page 3 and 4 of day 4 1

Cassel Posted August 24, 2021 Author Posted August 24, 2021 Nadine and Marie-Claire, your posts were caught in the spam folder (sometimes it is picky when it includes links, other times it is just random). I released them and you can remove the duplicates. If it happens again, just drop me a message so I can check. 1
Marie-Claire Posted August 24, 2021 Posted August 24, 2021 Thanks Cassel, I just try now to put my page 3 and 4 in the good order.....try and try but dont know why page 4 comes always before page 3 :-( 1
Susan Ewart Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 I wasn't able to sign up because I knew I wouldn't be able to do one page per day (work is too busy right now). I will wait for the next time you run it or when it's purchasable which works great for my schedule. Everyone did such beautiful work, it's really inspiring. 1
laurie solaas Posted August 25, 2021 Posted August 25, 2021 This is my magazine days 5.6. and 7. I really struggled with days five and six. it was my intent to work them together so that they could be a two-page spread. I did the template for day five first and it looked great. I struggled with the instructions on day 6. After an hour or so, I figured out the one little part I missed. Then I went to insert my picture into the mask for day 5 and the picture showed through the mask like shadowed images in the area that was suppose to be blacked out. I never figure out what I did wrong, so I just recreated two new mask layers. Carol on the day eight the password would work. I don't know why. I enjoyed the challenge and everyone's beautiful work. -Laurie 1
Marie-Claire Posted August 26, 2021 Posted August 26, 2021 Day 6 since the owl is looking to the right in the photo, I mirrored the masks 1
fiona cook Posted August 27, 2021 Posted August 27, 2021 Finally I got around to Day7 and making my own templates. This did help me to understand the process a little more. I also went back to each of my pages from the previous days and decided they needed the frame and liked Cassel's from her templates. I just dragged the layer across to me artwork. Then I made a summary of all of them on a storyboard like other members have done. I have not yet used my own created templates but this is something I could do for another project perhaps. Thank you for sharing Gab's First Cookbook with us from your message Carole to me. I had a quick look and think I may try out the Guacamole recipe for myself. If he wants he could add my 'Jenny's Carrot Cake' recipe as posted. Please keep the name Jenny in the title as it is in her memory. I always make a little more of the gooey filling when I make it! My projects centre around my photos and I can appreciate the trees photos of Libera. Trees are fascinating. Here's my storyboard with my templates (yet to be used) at the end. Thank you Carole for a packed tutorial. 1
Cassel Posted August 27, 2021 Author Posted August 27, 2021 Marie-Claire, I think you have to upload images one by one and in reverse order to see them in the correct order (I think). Laurie, isn't that always a tiny step or detail that can cause such headaches? But I bet you will remember next time! Fiona, I'll share Jenny's recipe with Gab. 1
Ann Seeber Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Fiona: That storyboard looks great! Just so you know, if you wanted to print it as a magazine or booklet, it would need two more pages. They work in fours. Either 4, 8 or 12 pages for the printer. I worked in publishing many years and learned the rule of 4s. 1
Marie-Claire Posted August 28, 2021 Posted August 28, 2021 Thank you Carole, I tried, but it didn't work either, i'll just leave it like that I finally made it to day 7, and made my own template. Hereby my last page 7 made with my own template. 1
Connie Collier Posted September 18, 2021 Posted September 18, 2021 I'm really enjoying these Magazine posts - what beautiful work, everyone. 1
