Bonnie Ballentine Posted October 17, 2020 Posted October 17, 2020 Hey, Karon...I was born and raised in Columbia. I haven't been there in some time and feel the need to visit...of course, I can't at this time. My high school reunion was cancelled because of Covid or I would have visited Piggie Park then. Their bar-b-que sauce is mustard based and I love it. When I make my own, I make ketchup based and I love that too. I think I just love bar-b-que!...and SC...and Columbia...and the Gamecocks. 1
Karon Dey Posted October 18, 2020 Posted October 18, 2020 Bonnie.... I use both when making my own; but I've gotten lazy and know just buy the bottled. ;) 1

Sue Thomas Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 I like the cutout photo effects, it's easy to create using as mask, which means I can edit it for each photo. 1
Sue Thomas Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 This was a quick, fun, easy page. I enjoy creating word art, and the split frame is always a fun effect. I slipped a ribbon in between the split frame, in order to do that I had to use the selection tool, another tool I have fun using. 1
Sue Thomas Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 So many inspirational pages posted, each and every one beautifully executed. It's always a pleasure to sit with a cup of tea and scroll through the posts on this site. Thank you Lynda, and Karon for your very kind comments on my pages, it's very much appreciated, and means a great deal to me. 1
Karon Dey Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 Sue... Nice cutout effects. Love the idea. And the split frame with the circle word is awesome. 1
Sue Thomas Posted October 19, 2020 Posted October 19, 2020 Thank you so much Karon. You are always so kind with your comments. I hope some of my pages inspire you. 1

Cristina Posted October 23, 2020 Posted October 23, 2020 Everybody has done such wonderful work; it's a joy to come here and see every layout, what I could not do for a while. Karon, thank you very much for your words. <3 ... I am loving seeing your work. 1
Sue Thomas Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 I placed this post in the wrong section, and couldn't delete it from the calendar challenge page. Playing with vectors and fonts. Mesh warp tool, pen tool. 1
Sue Thomas Posted October 28, 2020 Posted October 28, 2020 I'm enjoying your layouts Karon. The lab is a wonderful place to learn techniques. 1
Ann Seeber Posted October 29, 2020 Posted October 29, 2020 Carole/Cassel: I was interested in Lab 10 Module 3 - Experiment 1 - Title Work - Chalk Lettering I don't see any tutorial or directions to achieve the chalk effect on The Lab Campus page or the PDF. What did I miss? Here's the layout that is displayed but no info with it: 1
shutterpixi Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 Sue - Love your antelope and sandhill crane image! 1
Ann Seeber Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 I was in the Lab yesterday, making grosgrain ribbon. Most ribbons in kits are not perfectly straight and do strange things as borders. I made some straight ones. I also played with some Angry Bird photos. Take a look. 1
Sawnie Robertson Posted October 30, 2020 Posted October 30, 2020 I started October working on four misc. graphics to experiment and learn different methods of combining and manipulating photos . One of the graphics (attached) was inspired by a trip to Panama. The result is the attached scrapbook page of two events during that trip. I had a lot of trouble with my computer shutting down because of the number of photos but I was able to complete the project. 1
Karon Dey Posted November 6, 2020 Posted November 6, 2020 Ann Seeber...Great title for your "Angry Birds" layout. Had to laugh. Love your grosgrain ribbons. I, too, find it unfortunate that more straight ribbons aren't included in kits. But at least we now know how to make them. When I did Lab 10 mod 3, I used the Chalk-hand-lettering font. 1
Karon Dey Posted November 7, 2020 Posted November 7, 2020 Sawnie...Nice job on the photo manipulation and a great scrapbook layout. I really like the layout and how you used so many pictures; but still had room for plenty of journaling. Sue...I always love seeing your bird pics, how you frame them and the word art (quotes) you place upon them. The little blue jay is darling. Great job on the Native Aster and what a beautiful flower. 1
