Cassel Posted April 23 Posted April 23 What is your go-to type of "birthday cake"? I like the plain white cake if it is a baked cake (even if I love chocolate, I still prefer white chocolate). I love ice cream cake. I love the cheesecake that my husband makes. Share your favorites.
Michele Posted April 23 Posted April 23 When asked what kind of cake I want for my birthday, it's always Black Forest cake. 2
Ann Seeber Posted April 23 Posted April 23 When I was young I fell in love with the commercial ice cream cake roll so that was my birthday ask. 3
Rene Marker Posted April 23 Posted April 23 Chocolate cake with Chocolate icing. But I couldn't have that cake now with chocolate not being something I can eat anymore. But then, the last time I even had a cake was 2008. 1 2
Julie Magerka Posted April 23 Posted April 23 It was always (since I was a kid) my mother's 3-layer carrot cake with cream cheese icing! When I was very young I wouldn't eat it b/c it had "carrots" in its name. Boy, was I happy when I finally gave in. 🙂 3

I'll check out a fabric store near me! 😄 Sometimes AI is not that bright. We don't have Target here anymore (Canada) and only Costco and I know they don't have it. But I am really salivating right now just thinking about it. 2
Anne Lamp Posted April 23 Posted April 23 As a kid I always asked for chocolate cake. After I was married my Mother in law made a sheet cake with lemon jello. That became my favorite for years. 1

To me, it's like a big Devil Dog with ice cream instead of cream filling. 😁 3

Mind you I have never been into a Dairy Queen, or any other fast food chain such as Mc Donalds or Burger King. I will occasionally have a Tim Horton's, soup combo though, on the rare occassion I go to the city. Although you can buy them in the supermarkets in the UK, my mum, would make an arctic roll. I like to make my own too, and still do. Edited April 24 by Sue Thomas 2 1

It might be an idea for me to send one to you during this coming winter when the temps plummet to 30c below, that way the ice cream won't defrost in transit. lol 1
