I found this origami fox under a load of paper and, as this challenge had reached F, I thought I’d take a photo. If I get some time I might do some folding for other letters.

I love foxes, folding and paper!  I'm not as good as this though.  It's fabulous.  Just yesterday at work I was out on the loading dock, the shipper/reciever had some boxes open (it was a flyer insert for a paper) and I was oogling at the protective cardboard piece on the top of the box (to protect the flyer when cutting open the box).  My supervisor happened along and came to see why i was ooing and aahing.  They both thought I was nuts.  I'm like, "cant you see the subtle colors and the texture in this guard sheet, it's beautiful."  They were like, uhm, no.

I'm sure it's something dumb I did.  I know how you feel, it's a bummer.  I've decided to just let it go.  Now I can re-do the tutorials and at least I have the pngs of the elements and papers as well.  I can't imagine how you felt thinking the back up would be safe.  I wonder if one needs to have an external back up that they unplug and only connect when the back up needs to be done.  My hubby is still deciding what to do, and it's a low priority as he's in the middle of program change at work so I live in fear of losing stuff.  I told him our relationship might not survive me losing my photos especially (the ones of family and past and current pets, holidays etc - the studio stuff I do would suck to lose but it's just things and not like people, pets and places you cant recover from).

I know how you feel, it is a real danger isn't it! I have my external backup permanently connected with my laptop and every day at 11.00 pm my computer makes a backup. It only makes a backup of the files that are changed and it has been a real saver of files or directories that I had put in the bin and emptied that bin....... Now I have a daily routine to check my bin and empty it afterwards before I close the laptop. This way I easily can see what I have placed in the bin, this has reduced the "oh my what have I done again now" feeling. ðŸ™ƒ

Lovely folding, even without the F it is immediately clear it is a fox!

This just what I want to have.  And also what hubby wants to do, but his work is really stressful right now so I'm not going to push him until his work settles down.  It will be months.  A cooler head has prevailed, in the end, he is more important than files and photos.

I love origami. I remember doing a lot of it when I was a kid. It's been many, many years, but I might still be able to make a crane. Your fox is wonderful!

I loved it as a kid as well but had trouble following the instructions. These days it's so much easier with you tube videos!

I also love Origami. Some time ago, I received an Origami calendar: 365 different models.

Today's page had a model that could be made into an Origami.

I never used these sheets because I wanted to keep them as models.

I made them all and put them in a box at my office where I worked.

One day, my boss came with her daughter to show her my work and as she hesitated to choose one,

I gave her the whole box. You should have seen her expression!!!

For me, once done, an Origami is in the past that I can do again.

This happened several years ago but the one I remember most is making a "balloon"
