I am a bit south of you in sunny Gloucestershire. PSP is a great program which can do so much more than you think so hope you get to learn lots. Gloucester or Staverton airport is where I 'virtually' instruct my students from in the Flight Simulator. I am a member of an Online Flying Club with members worldwide. It's great fun, especially with online Air Traffic Control. However, I digress, I am looking forward to my time here. I watched the video where Cassel designs the embroidered effect paper. Very cool, my girls are going to watch it this evening. My daughter tends to simply layer her cards from existing card stock. I am sure that once she realises what PSP can do, she will be a convert. Although the name implies SCRAPBOOKING, i am always amazed how many non-scrapbookers are members and enjoy learning more about PSP with these classes. Cassel, my daughter is 46 and her daughter, who has just popped in for tea whilst her mum and gran are making their cards, is 24. So I'm in the front room and the girls are seated at our long table. Paige Posted November 18, 2016 Share Posted November 18, 2016 Hello everyone. My name is Paige and I'm from Utah, USA. I have been using PSP since around the year 2000, when it was still Jasc. I only used it to play with and print name tags and award certificates for a project where I was employed way back then. In about 2004 I became interested in Poser and DAZ. I'm not much of an artist and certainly cannot draw or paint, so the digital world was fascinating to me. I quickly became hooked on texturing the 3D models and trying to find the most realistic ways to create the skins for "human" models. I also loved texturing the clothes in the most realistic way I could. It was always very difficult to find tutorials or help using PSP for those things, but I endured. :) I wanted to switch to the BIGGER program, but I've just always loved PSP and was more familiar with its abilities and functions (or so I thought). A few years later I lost interest in all of it. My kids were in high school and needed me for all kinds of things and I didn't have much time to give to it anymore. I've been gone from the digital arts for about 9 years Fast forward to 2015. I missed a few upgrades of PSP, but have caught up with X7, X8, and just recently purchased X9. I fell soooo behind in all the software for Poser and DAZ. I've become fond of the scrapbook world, although I've never been a scrapbooker. I found Cassell's store and got SO excited with all those scripts. I've bought quite a few. :) That's how I found the Scrapbook Campus. After watching a couple of the intro tutorials, I was hooked. I got my membership recently and am so excited about all the information here. I thought I was pretty well versed in PSP, but boy was I wrong. I've followed along with the tutorials and am amazed how much I really didn't think about in using PSP. I'm still wanting to get back into the 3D texturing, but the scrapbook thing is also very interesting. Catching up on everything is slow, but coming along. So, here I am. :) I've attached the first and only scrapbook page I've ever done (so far), which was a couple weeks ago. I used a couple of Cassell's scripts to make some of it, but am now working on how to do the same things myself, without a script. It has been so much fun! I am really happy to read that you enjoy what you found in the Campus (and the store) and are learning more things about PSP. I really thrive when I hear someone finds my content useful in their life and in their projects. It is a joy for me to create that content and share my knowledge, but even more when it also brings joy to others! You first layout is great! I actually recognize the few scripts/tutorials! I also use Poser (PoserPro 2014) and I love to dabble at making my own textures for Poser clothes or props. I discovered Paintshop Pro. However I found X8 too buggy and it crashed my computer too much so upgraded to 9 and have been learning all the wonderful things it can do. I am not a scrapbooker myself, but have learned heaps here at the Campus from our wonderful teacher Cassel. I love photography also, so it is great in that aspect. Welcome. I'm sure you will learn a lot with the tutorials, I just love them and Cassel really learnd me so much with those. Me too I have lots of scripts from the store, but I also like to try and make those elements alone without using the scripts. The tutorials are great for that. Like your layout. Anja Pelzer Posted June 28, 2017 Share Posted June 28, 2017 I want to say Hi to all of you , my name is Anja . in the web my name is Ayla, I live in Germany with my Son Kai, in a town - Aachen near the Netherlands and Belgium I love to scrap my photos and love challenges, I create templates for scrapbooking and minikits the programs I used are Photoimpact 10 and X3, and old version of Photoshop CS2. a few years ago I had PSPx1 and tried a german online kurs in an german forum. but my Pc crashed. Now last week I bought PSPX9 and try to work with it, I bought some script from Cassel and try around with them I am not good in english videos because it is hard for me to follow the words - translate and following the mouse to the menues. I joined the campus some time ago and though I read the newsletters and visit the Campus from time to time, I don't think I've ever posted here! I don't do scrapbooking (digital or otherwise) but I love making my own elements for scrapkits that I make myself and I love using scripts. I use PSP X9. I remember starting out on version 6 and version 9 was my all-time favorite! I also have PhotoImpact and Photoshop but PSP is my preferred graphics program. I have seen so many useful tutorials, tips and tricks here and I can see that Cassel really knows her stuff! For as long as I've been using PSP, there's still so much I do not know. Here one of his pages I just finished for my 2018 family book. I used Kimeric Kreations "She Drew Inside The Lines" and grabbed a DaVinci drawing of wings for the backfround.
