Corrie Kinkel Posted December 22, 2024 Posted December 22, 2024 I opened a new topic for Christmas/Holiday wishes, so we have them all together. Here is my X-mas card to wish you Happy Holidays and say thank you to Carole and her team for another great year in the Campus! Thanks to all the members for the inspiration that I get from seeing all your projects and a big thanks to Sue T and Michelle for the idea and tips to make this card. 1 10

As always it was a pleasure. What started out as a dare from Michele, turned out to me creating a 3D text candle, with instructions on how to do it. I hasten to add, once I understood what Michele was asking me to create. I have since created several to be used as cards. Edited December 22, 2024 by Sue Thomas 5 1

I love all the different fonts. I would love a workshop on this type of element, candles Christmas balls etc. I'm sure there is a masterclass for it, but I do so much better in a workshop. (well, except the paper workshop - sigh) 3

I have done a couple for special occasions, like 80th birthdays or 60th wedding anniversaries. I'm entering the years that those will come up, so with different wordart, elements and colors they look very unique. 5

If time allows I'll let you know, because it is really, really simple to do. The hardest thing is to find the fonts you want to use. 4

Expand I did a quick search and there is a blogpost about it, which I always refer to if I need it. called: "Creating a Subway Art Project" Nov 16, 2020. There is a tutorial and there are 2 Masterclasses. But the blogpost is the quickest and easiest way to turn to; if you know how to do it your creativity will fill in how you can use it. I include here a X-mas card (in Dutch) I made in that period. Edited December 22, 2024 by Corrie Kinkel 1 2 4
Julie Magerka Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 My contribution to the holiday wishes here. The pic is from my niece and shows one of her kitties at the "ranch" in Montana where they now live. The Quick Waves script (which I won!) came in handy for this layout. Gotta love those scripts! 2 7
Anne Lamp Posted December 23, 2024 Posted December 23, 2024 (edited) I created this using some of the freebies in Cassel's Christmas countdown. I think the letters being squished at the end of each text line probably had something to do with the preset shape I used for the curbed line. Oh well live and learn. I'm just not that good at them. I takes practice getting it to look balanced. And for sure, finding the right fonts is pretty important and the most time consuming 3 1

Anne Lamp Posted December 24, 2024 Posted December 24, 2024 This was adapted from a small 8.5 x 11 page I made to thank my neighbor for some chili. It was a challenge to figure out shadows and other things starting with a small page. I have learned one lesson, don't start with that small (pixel wise) page for anything like this. Oh well Cassel will have to forgive me for it not being a well done page. 1 6

It's working good for me this way to extract Poncho from my photo's. I used a Kit from Lynne Anzelc 4
