Sketch15-2022-09.jpg

Learning scrapbooking is often done with practice, looking around for inspiration, and trying to recreate projects we admire. Sometimes, we can be inspired by finished projects, but sometimes, we also have to use our imagination to interpret something.

This challenge will give you an opportunity to envision something from a "boring" base, and you will have to imagine the end result differently. The sketch is only a written idea, and you can fly with it, modify it, and customize it to fit your vision, your photos, your supplies, etc.

The background seems to be made of some paper or color blocking. And the frames around the photos, they could be frames, mats, stitching, or maybe even doodles. Be creative.

We had a rainy day, so I spend some time at the PC before I'm off for some days on surgery and recovery etc. I followed the sketch because I liked it and didn't want to change it this time. I used the same photo 3 times, made  the frames with a bevel and used a lot of papers from a kit by Marisa Lerin (The good life feb. 21). It was just a quick layout for today.

??? I like this but know now that it's a hard job. I have no experience. The magic wand didn't work properly. As we learned in the Bootcamp, I prefer to make a 'template' by myself. I know this is a sketch it's something else. I think I have to skip this. But my compliments to those who made these.

Jannette, yes, when you have a SKETCH, it is just an idea. You don't use it with the Magic Wand or any other tool. It is like if I was to give you a hand drawing, so if you make your own template, that is PERFECT!

Here is my interpretation for this challenge. It took longer than I thought it might but wonder if it's because i over think things and then get in a muddle. This is the beauty of Paint shop pro because you can alter things and change your mind if you are not happy with what you did. I think I changed things quite a lot. I tried lots of what we have been taught by Carole and even though she does it all effortlessly, I have had a few goes. Anyway, I got there in the end. I used some images from Pixabay and used textures to try to make them look like fabric. Some of the other tubes were fairly old and I am not sure where from but they would have been free for use. The central image is all my own graphic work. I used a font called Geo slab 703 Le BT.   TFL.
