My Quick Page.
Christmas Day 1964. My parents had invited their friends Bert and Lillian to spend the evening. Bert’s 19 year old son was included. We watched a movie – “The Pride and The Passion” – and I chatted to Russell. Two days later he asked me out and we got married in March 1970. This was a Christmas card I made for him to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the day we met. Not all the photos were taken at Christmas (the individual ones and us with the monkey) but most were. I even managed to find a poster for the movie!
q=question time, a lively time in the Parliament!
Yes thank you Cassel, I have version 4 and kept getting offers on Version 5 and now Version 6, which I hadn’t been able to take advantage of. Now I have version 5 so I will be able to wait a while before upgrading to Version 6. Also thank you for the information about NIK software, I have downloaded this and now I just need to learn how to use it!!
Here is something I did with the WordSlats script. I used three different photos, all cropped to the same width, copied onto a 3600 wide page and then merged. Obviously the colours were very slightly different and there was a line where the photos joined, but I was able to work out what text to use to put the gaps where the lines were. Using spaces to even the text out worked really well.
P=Polo Mints, the mint with a hole.
I’m sure you would enjoy coming here, there is so much to see and do there is something for everyone. The only problem is that it takes so long to get anywhere: that Western Australia trip was 15 weeks and we still only scratched the surface. No wonder a lot of people here are buying caravans and travelling full time!
Loved the WordSlats script, which I have just won, I will post something when I have used it. In the meantime your freebie inspired me to use one of my photos from our recent trip to Western Australia – here it is.
G=Gobstoppers.
Day 7 finally finished!
Back again, this time with Day 5 and 6. Nearly finished Day 7, however I do agree with you Cassel, it would be fun to keep going. I have an idea for a “bonus” story, we’ll see what happens.
These stories are wonderful and I love seeing how the layouts have adapted the original templates. Thank Cassel for a great challenge. Here are my Day 3 and 4 layouts.
Finally finding time to do some of the challenges, hopefully the rest will be done soon. This is Day 2. By the way thanks Cassel for helping with my upload problems – I misread your first email!
Here is my layout.
Q=Quiet, the way thick snow deadens all sound.
Hi, just to let you know I have registered for the Story Time Challenge, looking forward to it.
x=X-Factor – what a great hairdo gives you!
I=Implants – for those men going bald!!
Here is a page I did to welcome a friend’s new baby. I used the Lab 6/10 Template as my starting point then changed the one small photo to two half-sized ones. I made the name-plate myself, and used elements and ribbons from various sets, changing the colour to match the green in the shawl.
C= Chignon, a very elegant hairstyle.
Y = Yourself, as in DIY.
T=Tape measure
W = wet!
Oops, don’t think the first picture uploaded, have tried again.
Back in 2009 I was involved in a school musical called “Zombie Prom”. This was very much “Leader Of The Pack” meets “The Simpsons” and the whole concept was based on cartoons. To keep the theme going I did the programme as a comic book, using various processes to turn a series of photos into comics (can’t remember exactly how I did it!). Of course since then other ways to achieve the same result have been developed, but I was still pleased with the original effort. I have attached one page for you to see.
W = Wombat (if you have a wildlife farm)
Z = zzzzz for the snooze you have after eating all the yummy goodies and cake!
I = Invitation
H = Happiness
L = Location
