I’m still in, but fallen far behind. As I’m still working every day, I just managed to participate a little bit at the Big 10, an opportunity to relax the last days.
Last week I got problems to enter the PWs. Now I tried again and everything seems OK. I will try to catch up this week. I downloaded Notepad++, strange Windows, I can’t change and use Notepad instead of the simple text editor.
Just a first simple example for Lesson 2, changing dimensions of my pyramide.

Congratulations to all the winners :)!
@Carole Yes “Have Fun” is definitely your motto 🙂 Playing with PSP is most of the time real fun, discovering the fantastic creations you can do and sometimes a bit “hair pulling” (hope the right word) if you don’t see immediately the mistake you do by applying some functions, thinking you’re not clever enough at the right moment or when there is a bug in the software.
@Nadine No my eyes are not so good, I just clicked on your picture and zoomed in the text, so I could read what you wrote.
L = Librarian
Special thanks to Carole for this fantastic idea, the festival was really great. As the excellent teacher she is, she gives us endless motivation to learn, discover, work and be creative.
Thanks to all, who participated and showed their creations, so many “eyeopeners”. Linda, I just allowed me to use your word. What can I add, guess we will go on all together and never stop learning :)!!

I forgot to add this, one of my favourite sentences, Carole uses to say often at the end of a master class!- This reply was modified 3 years, 2 months ago by libera.
Nadine, quelle histoire triste et accablante! J’ai réussi à lire le texte sur ton image. Quelle souffrance pour ta soeur….
En les gardant ainsi en mémoire, tu leur redonnes une nouvelle vie!Thank you Susan and Sue. I changed the titles, I can’t remember exactly why, but the name of the folder is “spooky”. I shoud look at the Master Class you mention, Sue. Maybe a confusion …
Another Pop Art girl
I loved the pop art challenge too. It must have been in August 2019. I add the original photos, so you can see again the difference, playing with this function.
I discovered the double exposure, which Sue presented just above in a fantastatic creation, a few weeks ago and did a simple try with a visage and thunder in it. Another fascinating work you can achieve with PSP.
As Corrie and Sue I have Carole’s book “Tips and Tricks” for PSP on my desk, in addition of the Kindle version on my PC of “101 Super Easy Tricks to Work Faster with Paintshop Pro”, Book 1 and 2, I can truly recommend for beginners too.
As I’m not only a flower lover :-), I created for example something I called “spooky”, November 2019, but I just can’t remember if it has to do with the challenge.
So I just promised me, I will try to write down for the next projects, what was the base of the work and the effects I applied. I must admit if you do not regularly use some functions, you have to search and search ….

Double Take Challenge, September 2019
What a rich collection all over, really fantastic!
I looked at my different creations and discovered a few again I had almost forgotten.
This one is from the lovestory challenge February 2020, if I remember well.Q = Quantum Physicist
Ouch ….. beg your pardon, I didn’t see the number “1” in the mail you sent, maybe because it’s written in green …
Or I’m just “overworked” and would need holidays …
Thank you Carole, you are totally right :)!
Yesterday, later on, I looked at your video again, after the post, and discovered my mistake.First click on recording before you open an image, that was it, yippie yeah!

Sorry, I forgot to add, that I can’t come into Lesson 2 when I follow the link you placed above and give the pw edit in.

Hello everyone,
yes, Lesson 1 is really easy to understand. Yesterday I tried different recordings and had afterwards an effect I cannot see why it happens. I did the recording, saved it and when I wanted to run the script I had first this error message.
When I open a new blank canvas and then run the script, I can see it. Only the first test worked like in the video.
Hello @ all, I’m really late, but still job first, pleasure later 🙂
Congrats to all of you for such great ideas and fantastic layouts. I have really struggled with my choice, because too many ideas … So I decided to show a few of hundreds of photos I made of trees over the years.
Looking over the campus for the first time since about 3 weeks, admiring activity and creativity, I found this page and was really pleased with this thoughtful gesture. Thanks a lot Carole!
I live in Germany, very close to 2 cities heavily affected by the floods. I have fortunately be spared from this disaster.
I decided to help people I know and their neighbours. That’s the reason why I stopped the bootcamp so suddenly. My Day 3
…. and here comes one of my long-time guests :-)! I added already around 2 years ago squirrels in different projects, so guess, it’s never ending. I found the background on Pixel Scrapper, if I remember well, but changed the color and the fonts is Kristen.
Here is my Day 2
I decided to have a nice picnic im my garden. I changed and add a few ingredients. The nuts in the grass are an invitation for my squirrels to have lunch with me :-).
T = Trochus (small and conical)
Thanks a lot Carole, but the problem was only the lack of time due to my job.
So many new participants, that’s really fantastic. So heartly welcome to all!
Day 1- Workspace costumizing
I set welcome as default (Preferences-Tabs) because I love to click on “what’s new, learn, store” and so on. I dot it quite often and it’s a pleasure to see all these possibilities.
I chose the complete workspace from the beginning on, workspace and background colors are sometimes medium grey, mostly light grey. I tried to set different colors for both, but the settings do not remain. When my eyes are too tired I change from time to time the icon and text sizes. Another reason to have chosen “complete” is, I like to use the Manage tab. It’s a very convenient way to look for your picture material.Tabbed documents is activated, I’m used to, but it’s really easy to change. Rulers, guides and even snap to guides are activated.
Material palette and Layers are mostly set on “docking“, sometimes on “auto hide“, the organizer closed. I like to use from time to time the help topics, the user guide and the learning center.
An interesting point concerning the learning center is, when you do your work and click on a tool at the toolbar left (for example clone brush) and then click on F10 you get a short information for exactly this tool and at the end more details, if you want to go on. May be a good thing for beginners too.

Thanks a lot Annie and Ann. Be sure I always use plenty of garlic because I love it. LOL!
I created a little picture with my ingredients, garlic, carrot, shallot, leek but I decided not to add it, I found it too much.Ann, you can find the script on the Creation Cassel Page, (PSP Scripts, Tool scripts, Close-Up)
The close-ups are the little round pictures I took from the mussel photo with this script.
https://creationcassel.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=7_10&products_id=248&zenid=5eavtlgpieea69nbp7avfhlpm3Ann, may I suggest too you have a look at the topic Close-Up in “Let’s talk/PSP Stuff“. I posted saturday my problem, so you can see how I did the installation. Once you have installed the script it is really easy to run it.
Just ask again if you need more help.Hi from me too, I almost gave up participating at the bootcamp, never reached the end but I decided to give me another try!
@Susan Ewart
Be sure you will learn a lot step by step and won’t regret to have joined the Campus. I registrated 2 years ago but not because I was a scrapbooker. I started again with PSP, looked for interesting tutorials and discovered the Campus by accident. I even switched the PSP language from german to english. You will find great inspiration and meet a lot of fantastic people, our teacher included of course. And one of Carole’s famous sentences: have fun!I add a great WOW too for all those fantastic creations, friends and family, historical subject, travelling, majestic women, own garden and more of beautiful mother nature. Thanks for sharing all this :)!
