  1. I recently saw something like this on Pinterest, and I wanted to try if I could make it myself, here's the result.

The font is a free font I think from creative fabrica, Bomshel Script Slant. I made 3 masks using Carole's Raster to Mask script, which is very easy and fast with the script. That way I could also place a photo above the letters and below the letters instead of a color or paper or pattern.

I used a tube for the leaves, but I don't remember where it comes from.

  2. In the Lab at Experimentals, I've seen the Color Seeds images, a photo and below or next to it a color palette from the photo. I also think that's a nice way to show a photo. Would it be nice to make such a script, where at the bottom or next to the chosen photo, you can choose a number of colors with the color dropper that the palette makes under or next to the photo?
  3. I've been busy in the Lab 12 Module 10.

I tried the Bat Shape, but it didn't work. I'm not that handy with the Pen tool. It's also not my thing to make elements myself.

I did try the Multi Stars Pattern. I just wasn't sure yet in which project I could use it, so I made a background with it for the time being to be able to show it here.

I've been working on the template for a while. I like that.

When it was finished, I also wanted to see what I could make of it with Filter Forge.

    These are the results.

These are photos from 2005. The dog in the photo died in 2016. He got me out of depression at the time. I love my current dog Poncho, but I still miss Enzo, he was a great support to me.

  4. I have saved 1 copy with only the dates, lines month and year in the desired font.

After that I copied the mask layer of each month. Paste it as a new layer. I had to shift that a bit, but it is easy. I copied the mask layer as is, not merged. That way I can still change the photo afterwards.

After that I only had to adjust the background and the colors of the dates, lines and month

  5. Mary Solaas (#83662) , thank you, Nice of you to say that about my dog. I would do all projects with pictures of my dog, but I think I'm exaggerating, so I sometimes force myself to choose a different subject.

I used to do that with pictures of my daughter when she was little, now she is 42 years old, and I have no grandchildren. So my dog has all the attention.

  6. Carole (#83470) Thank you! and yes the theme is birds, it's not my dog for once ?

    The continuation of my calendar.

    All photos come from www.hdwallpapers.in

for the backgrounds I sometimes have

    - made a gradient myself from the colors from the photo,

    - some with a texture as Carole explained,

    - some  without texture,

    - sometimes it is the photo itself as background, with gausian blur and above it 1 or 2 layers of color from the photo and a blending.

    - For 1 background I used a mask with a color from the photo.

I think I'm going to leave the pages that way because I think it's going to get too busy otherwise.

I will be adding birthdays from family and friends to use the calendar as a birthday calendar and desktop background.

  7. I choose : Circle Text - Pearls - FREE - Laser Cut Doilies - Braids

Background paper is of Chantahlia Design, I don't remember where I downloaded the flowers.

I made myself the Circle Text, the Laser cut doilies, and Braids with colors of the photo.

With Carole's BeadsMaker3 Script Pearls with colors of the photo and

a mask with Carole's MaskMaker Script for the photo.
