Day 2 - I asked my friend, John, if a could use some of his photos from his travels throughout Italy. In response, he shared not only his Tuscany album, but also asked his friend, Robert, to share his album. As a result, I now have about 750 photos of Tuscany in my iCloud folder and used them for this template. The background is one of the photos taken at night and overlaid with a Tuscan grunge from Adobe Express. I created the border using Carole's repeat script of a preset shape with a Adobe Express gold style added. The title font is call concave tuscan and the journal font is black tuscan, both from CF. I added a watercolor leaf pattern to the background layer. Although I missed yesterday, I want to wish Carole a belated "Happy Birthday" and thank her for the gift certificate. I spent the morning downloading my favorites list.

I didn't duplicate the dots layer. I have a bokeh brush from AE that I imported into PSP.

I always have a difficult time deciding on photos to use and finally decided to use another rugby photo. I choose this photo since David had both feet off the ground which is normal for a fast runner. The background is grass from PSP texture effects. The lined paper is from my 2025 Build a kit. The ric rac is from Carole's script. The bokeh effect is from a Adobe brush imported into PSP. The font is an OFL font called Silverblade and has an AE gel style applied. I also remade the circle as a vector so that the edges would be smooth, converted it to a raster and used the clip to it script to make a mask. The circle frame was also a vector outline converted to a raster layer and beveled. I didn't add any shadows to the dots or the bokeh layer.

Thank you, Corrie. Because of the warm one day and cold the next, some of my daffodils haven't even bloomed yet. But, the ones that have bloomed are beautiful.

I have two varieties of daffodils in my flower bed. The daffodils in the circle are pictures that I took of them in various sides. The center cluster is from Adobe Express. The bottom is a photo from my garden that I made into layers and merged in Photoshop, edged with one of Carole's edge brushes. The from is Carole's photo circle script. The side plaid is from an experiment in FF that turned out well. The font is from a CF and called Juicy Snap Solid. I made the daffodils from AE into a tube and created the pattern fill.

Daffodils are one of my favorites. There are so many varieties, but I only have two growing in my flower bed. I still have to post my pictures.

The photos are from the Outer Banks in North Carolina where we spent the Christmas holiday. I made the film strip in Adobe Elements. The font is MsBeasly which is a free font. For the font style, I followed lesson 7 in the Text Workshop. The background is a gradient, and the graphics are from Adobe Express.

It's a great sport, Corrie. They are so graceful to watch. Thomas is 9 and working very hard towards the black belt.

My grandson, Thomas, is one of my favorite subjects. We are so proud of his achievements. My lilac and orange papers are from my current Build a kit, originally a paper from Adobe Express with a blend mode. The frame is from FF; the belts and clip are from Adobe express. The squares are a material from the belts that I made into a seamless pattern using Carole's script. I extracted the photo from a video sent to me by my daughter in law. My son is the one holding the board. The layered font is from CF and called Dynamix Street. The "o" is an AI generated on Adobe Express.

Bugs - Photos are mine. Background and papers are from a grunge brush recolored to yellow, orange, pink and black. Scatters are also from a brush, and the little insects and the big flower are from CF. The CF font is called Lovely Insects with a layer style applied.

Day 6 I really do love glitter! Matthew's brother sent me the picture of Matt with the rifle, and I was reluctant to use it because of my aversion to guns. However, it fit so well with Art Deco which was my first kit. I used a photo of Chooch that has him behind a speakeasy bar with a 20's style cap on his head. The bar and cap are from Adobe Express. The flowers were made in FF. The papers are from my first build a kit. The heart is a brush. The font is Edith from CF.

Day 5 - Photos from my grandson. The background is from our paper class; the grey paper is from one of my photos of granite and the brown is a PSE layer style, cracks. Unfortunately, the PSE style looks like a cookie, but it should symbolize the cracks in the desert floor. The font is a layered font from CF called Rainbow. Since I saved the original as a vector, I was able to change the layers to match the colors of the page. I used Carole's scattered elements script for the bones(and did not distort them this time😊). I downloaded the daisies from Adobe Express. I used shasta daisies since they grow in the desert and can designate sympathy.

I did resize and will redo it.

Are you asking about the picture with my grandson, Matthew? He is devasted; his FB post made me cry. In fact, the whole family is devastated. Chooch was a wonderful and loving dog. Part of his FB comment "For 11 years since the day I brought you home you were my constant companion and best friend. We swam in oceans, climb mountains and hiked through deserts. There will never be another dog or friend like you."
-
Day 3 - Honoring Chooch. The background is from a photoshop brush, the stripes are my own, the hearts are from a CF font with a style added from PSE. The dog bone scatters were made with the custom confetti script. I made 3 different tubes and combined them.

I love gold and use it a lot. For this challenge, I used a flower from AE with a sculpture effect using one of the gold patterns. The flower pattern was made using Carole's scripts--pattern maker and seamless pattern. I used a slight layer style on the flower and a gold gradient for the background.

My table with my favorite drink--cappuccino, favorite kosher dill pickles and ham sandwhich with tomato, lettuce, cheese and onion. The plate, coffee, pickle, napkin with tableware is from Adobe Express. The bread texture is a PSE style. The ham, lettuce, onion and tomato are from Canva. The wood background is from one of my photos.

My workspace: I prefer a dark background and have customized my space to make some of the commands one-click. I have also bound some of my favorite scripts next to the script output. I also save the custom workspace since sometimes things go crazy, and I have to reload.

Thanks, Julie. I'm going with the blue.
-
Thank you, Julie I overthink things and added a beige vintage layer with a hue blend. After your kind words, I am thinking of removing it.
-
Julie, I love the quote and looked it up on the internet. "Wherever a beautiful soul has been, there is a trail of beautiful memories" - Ronald Reagan I think I may use it on my poster. I am still having problems measuring up to your creativity on backgrounds. May I ask your opinion on this one?
-
Love this layout, Julie. I still debating on my background and layout. I may steal some of your ideas.
-
Susan and Julie, Thank you for your sympathy for one of my grand dogs. Fortunately, Matthew had a lot of photos of Chooch. My three oldest grandsons live together with their girlfriends, and the whole family loved Chooch and were devastated. They were all crying when I called. Chooch was part Huskie and loved pulling the boys on their skate boards and floats in the streams around Vegas. He also loved hiking in the desert with Matthew and David's pit bull, Finan.

My dear grandson, Matthew, lost his beloved dog, Chooch, last week. Needless to say, he is devasted. I am working on a poster for printing in remembrance of Chooch. These are my first photos. The photos are from Matthew, but the effects are the result of Paintshop and PSE. I must say that Paintshop Pro adjusts the clarity and color of the photos much better than PSE. The frames on three of the pictures were made in PSP using vector tube-the bone frame, Carole's Wordframe script and a doggy heart font from CF. The beach photo effect is from PSE. I have a plethora of photos from which to choose.
